Data From Multiple Data Ranges

I have a large spread sheet 3000 lines. I have two sheets on sheet 1 is the data shown

On the next sheet I need to convert the data so I can produce a pivot table. The fields required are value of the Product "A" "B" etc by monthly columns and rows showing Product for CSA.

The sheet is going to very large so need something that does not take hours to recalculate every time a change is made.

Countif. Multiple Data Ranges

I have cells containing data within C15:C22

I also have cells containing data within E25:E32

Some of these cells have the value '5' in them.

I want to have a running total of all the cells in these two ranges that have a value of '5' in them.

I did this formula:

=COUNTIF($C$15:$C$22,"=5")

This works okay but unfortunately this only covers the first data range. How do I specify the other data range in this formula?

Pivot Table With Multiple Data Ranges

I have a workbook that contains 52 spreadsheets (one for each week of the year). Each contain the same column headings. The columns contain both numberic and text data which I need to pivot. I can individually pivot each sheet to obtain weekly data but I would like to obtain year to date data throughout the year. How can I merge all of my 52 sheets together to utilize just one pivot table.

Sort Data Ranges Across Multiple Worksheets

I have been asked to create an attendance worksheet where employee names and data are entered on a "main" worksheet and hours are entered on monthly worksheets. The names on the monthly worksheets are referenced from the main worksheet. Therefore, if I add a name and do a sort, the names on all pages will move, but the data will not. I imagine I will need an ID column to help sort. How do I make a macro to do the sort?

Apply Data Validation Using Multiple Named Ranges

I am trying to apply data validation to a column of cells using named ranges. However, each row has a unique associated named range. For example:

A_______B
Birds____*
Dogs____*
Cats____*

I can easily apply data validation to these three rows separately using named ranges.
Ie three separate named ranges:
=Birds
=Dogs
=Cats

However, I need a way to quickly apply data validation to column B using different named ranges for each row because there are about 2,000 rows. Is there a way to reference text in the cells of column A that contains the name of the named range? Or maybe a bit of VB code that could do it quickly?

hello. i'm new to excel and i'm really hoping for some serious help here. i have the basics down however i'm really stumped at this point. Let me try to explain my worksheet. the worksheet has a sheet for data which is used for drop list values in the new patient template sheet. the new patient template which is just that a blank entry sheet that the user duplicates and adds a new patient to the worksheet to track the visits made by medical staff. there could be over a hundred new patient sheets (each named by the patient) at any given time.

here is what i need help with: my sheet is setup on a monthly basis so each patient has a total of 4 - 5 weeks listed with entries for everytime a nurse visits that patient. what i need to know is how to search the cell entries for the first time a visit occurred and the date it occurred and this needs to be broken down by the 1st of the month - the 15th and then again for the 16th - the end of month for every patient sheet in the workbook. the ranges are not together that i need to search for example f14:f20, i14:i20, f35:f41 and so on for the first 15 days of the month. this all needs to happen like in a macro or somehow automatically.

The data rows are not all consecutive. The range for which the data resides are:

which almost does what I need. I understand how it works (i think!) but as a vba novice I can't work out how to adapt the code to copy more than one range from the source workbooks.

What I want to be able to do is copy say the following cells from each workbook:

A1

D1

d4:D7

I think what I need to do is call the getdata macro multiple times with different ranges, but I can't quite work out how to do that without simply creating multiple copies of the master file.

I cant seem to find the correct syntax for creating 14 validation lists using array members as the source of the named ranged. The validation lists are stored on a different worksheet, the Named Ranges are created fine, as are the ranges that are having the validation applied. The Syntax I am having a problem with is

I need help creating a macro that will search through my excel spreadsheet and for every instance where column A isn't empty it should cut a range of columns from that row and paste them in a different range of columns in the row before it. It should then delete the row that it cut the columns from and keep searching until it has done this for the whole worksheet. I can modify which range of columns are needed, but it has been so long since I've worked with excel macros that I haven't been able to do it.

Data Validation Against Two Ranges.

I'm trying to create a user request form. In one section of the form, the client will enter in a list of "Allowed Roles". These are roles that they have rec'd approval to use - these roles will span multiple applications. In a tab I've named Metadata, I've got defined ranges indicating the valid roles for particular applications. Want I'm trying to do is attempt to define a cell in the user form for one application that, using data validation, will present them with a drop down list of valid roles to choose. The stumbling block I'm encountering is that I need it to validate against "Allowed Roles" and the valid roles for that app.

For instance:

Allowed Roles range name could contain:
B1 B2 C1 C2 P2 P3 D1 D3 D5 M1 O1

Payroll Roles:
C1 C2 C3 C4 C5 M1 O1

The Payroll Roles (on the metadata tab) are static, not user alterable in any way, and in fact Metadata will be hidden. Allowed Roles will be entered into the form by the client themselves.

Can I use data validation to create a drop down to only allow the user to pick a value that appears in both ranges? So they couldn't select C1 (since it's an Allowed Role, and a Payroll Role), but not C3 (not an allowed roled), or D3 (not a Payroll role).

Formula / Function To Collect Data From Multiple Sheets And Store Data In One Sheet?

- I have total of 13 sheets in a workbook - 12 sheets represent 12 months with data; 13th sheet is single sheet in which i would like to get complete overview of 12 months

- each of 12 sheets has actually sales results for multiple products with following data: internal code, manufacturer part number, name, and qty sold in that month

- situation is that some products have been phased out during the year and some were introduced so each sheet is slightly different in terms of in which row certain product is located

What i would like to achive is to make 13th sheet (whole year overview) do the following:
- there is a list of all the products in it, each product has unique internal code - this code (from each line) should be used to find that code in each monthly sheet, then find its monthly sales value (copy it) and paste it in sheet 13 in cell that represents this product and particular month.

In other words i would like to see for each product what was monthly sales throughout this year, but avoid manually filling in qty for each product per month.

Macro To Generate Outlook Emails With Data / Information From Multiple Rows Of Data?

I am attempting to create a macro to generate emails based on data in a sheet. The goal is to run the Macro, and have it generate emails to send to contractors letting them know what they are going to be paid. For instance:

Name in Column J
Email in Column L
Memo in Column N
Balance in Column T
Due Date in Column P
Week Ending Date in Column H

Now what I would like to happen, is to tie a macro into a button that will create the email as follows:

To Field: Email address from Column L
Subject: "Company Payment Remittance Payment Date *Date from Column P*"
Body: Hello *Name from Column J*,
For *WE Date in Column H* you will be paid *Balance from Column T* for the time worked of *Memo in Column N*

Now the tricky part is that I want the email to contain all line items for each email address. So instead of sending one email per line, have the macro automatically put all of the information that needs to be sent to one email address into the message. I don't know if that is possible, but it sure would make my life easier if it was.

I am trying to create a line graph that will incorporate multiple columns of data in one series of data. The reason I do not place all of the data in one column is because it could exceed the maximum amount of rows allowed in excel. Also I need the data split up for viewing purposes.

I can easily just graph one column but how do I combine all the columns into one line graph with the data being in separate columns. Basically all the columns will be my Y values and X values are just 1:n.

Merge Data From Multiple Workbooks Stacking Data Into Master Workbook

I have three source workbooks that needed to be consolidated into a master workbook pasting the data with values & formatting.

The Master workbook also contains 6 additional worksheets that link to the data pulled in from the source files.
My question is how do I write the code so the source files populate the master in a specific order.
For example, the 3 source files are named "Central" "NED" and "WEST" and I need them to populate the master workbook in that order.

Calculator Needed For Data Between Ranges

Basically I have to trawl through tonnes of data every day and I would like an automatic way to do it for me. I am calculating the ramp up rate on an Autoclave oven so these figures are temperatures.

I have various ranges for each section of a cure cycle so I will use this one example.....

I need to calcuate the ramp up rate between 115°C and 140°C

I need to find the min and max between 115°c and 140°c then count the cells within the min and max, minus the min from the max then divide by how many cells there are inbetween

(MAX-MIN)/CELL COUNT BETWEEN THE TWO

Is this possible?

Sorting Data In Dynamic Ranges

In the attached workbook I have hard-pasted data in columns A:M that's designated as an Excel Table to make it dynamic.

In the adjacent columns O:AA I have formulae to extract data from A:M based on the "Frequency" stipulated in cell AD1,

I would like to be able easily to sort the data in the variable sized range in columns O to AA in descending order of the calculated values in column Z.

Best way to do this so that the formula don't get jumbled up or the blank cells in column Z end up at the top of the sorted data?

I need to put a formula which will show me required quantities under a relevant date which is already calculated in an aside table.

In the cell E8 I want it to look up for A8 in the table A35:AR45. Then in that row to find a date which is exactly the same or smaller than E7 and bring up all summed quantities from the table A50:A55 (quantities summed must be in the same column where the relevant date was found and in the row where the requirend part number is).

In the other hand I need to doin the cell H8 to llok up for A8 in the ableA35:AR45. Then in that row to find a date which is exactly the same as in H7 and bring up all summed quantities from the table A50:A55 (quantities summed must be in the same column as the relevant date was found and in the row where the required part number is).

I am making a macro to update the data on a bunch of charts. This is what I got from the macro recorder when I selected the data manually.

Printing Of Non Continuous Ranges Of Data

I am trying to print non continuous ranges of data in the same worksheet using the print area - by keeping the ctrl button pressed etc... it works fine but the outcome is that the text in the pages becomes very smaller when compared to when you print page by page and fit every page to one.
