I am doing math on times and want to be able to SEE values of Negative times instead of the ########. This is happening in a time card because I am summing the weeks total and subtracting 20 from it (expected 20 hours per week) so it will ALWAYS be negative until the last day of the work week.
For simplicity sake I will put what I have in close proximity cells and what my issue is. I am taking a number A1 (7.7) and turning it into time A2 =A1/24 (7:42)
A3 (18:00) Which is our work start time. I am taking 7:42 min estimated work day hours and adding that to our start time of 18:00 for A4.
A4 =A2+A3 (1:42) This tells me that we should get done around 1:42 am
A5 I enter the actual time we finished. Let's say (2:23)
A6 =TEXT(MAX($A$4:$A$5)-MIN($A$4:$A$5),"-H::MM")
This gives me an answer of (23:19), but if I type over the formula in A4 (1:42) which is the answer to the formula and already has that number there, I get the answer (0:41) in A6 and that is the answer I want. I can't figure out why I can't get A6 to give me an answer of (0:41) with a formula in A4. I even tried having another cell formulate A4 and then A4 =that cell and it is still the same.
I have a spreadsheet that I have combined the HH/MM/SS into one column and formatted it as time. If the numbers are negative then the - comes with it into the new column. I want to create a new column to calculate the negative numbers as zero and leave the positve numbers as they are.
Here is the formula that I used to combine the columns:
I have a problem with my spreadsheet where i have needed to show over and under runs of theaters. So I have positive and negative times - which i solved using the 1904 date system calucaltion in the options menu.
But since changing this all my dates (in a seperate column) have increased 4 years and 1 day so the 3rd December 2012 is now 4th December 2016.
I have a very simple formula which is basically one cell minus another "=A1-B1". When the values are equal, the cell this formula is in will display a zero. However, when the subtracted figure is greater than the first figure, i will then get a minus figure E.g. 10-11 = -1.
How can i make it that when the formula result is less than zero (i.e. a minus number) the figure displayed stays at zero but still using the minus funciton? Basically once it hits zero i need it to stop subtracting. This may be really simple but i cant figure it out.
I have one service level sheet where i used data in time format. I am getting error while using this sheet. I will just explain it in simple way...............
Please find below mentioned details.
Cell C D F
1 23:04 23:13 00:03
In cell G1 i have formula to get time difference between cell C1 and D1 and its give me difference between these both time as 00:09.
Formula is =IF(OR(ISBLANK(C1),ISBLANK(D1)),"",D1-C1)
In cell H1 i have formula to get difference time between cell C1 and F1.
Formula is =IF(OR(ISBLANK(C1),ISBLANK(F1)),"",F1-C1)
But in Cell H1 i am getting Error as Negative time or date display as ########
Is there anyway where i can get Exact time diffrence between Cell F1 and Cell C1
I currently have the following in a cell: =BDH(AHD!A3,"px_last","-5cm","-5cm")
This currently displays as -32 pulling this number out of bloomberg.
I now want to write a formulae in this cell that will display this as 32c if it is negative... and 32b if it is positive.
So if the number pulled out is negative I want it to have a c after it (and please have it delete the minus sign) and if positive, then have a b after it.
I have a spreadsheet where I track income (positive) and expense (negative) items and compare budget to actual amounts. I want to create a simple bar graph comparing budgeted amounts to actual amounts for each item.
However, when I do this, I see all of my income items above the line (pointing up) and all of the expense items below the line (pointing downward).
Is there an option I can select to just use absolute values for the items so they all appear above the line?
I'm trying to create a completion statement on where I will add up the money my client has sent to me and also add up the money I need to pay out in order for them to complete their transaction. The end result I want is I would like to display whether my client has given me to much money and I need to repay them. Or if they haven't given me enough then I need to invoice them. I need excel to display for me after all the figures have been added and subtracted if the end figure is negative then display in D19 (balanced owed to you). If the end figure is positive (Balance required from you) display in D20.
I've got a form with a ComboBox the RowSource of which is embeded in the column A of a certain sheet in the workbook - the values stored in that column resemble time reference, like: 00:00 (stands for 12:00 AM) or 01:45 (stands for 01:45 AM). The problem now is that when I choose something from the list the value that is displayed is different form the one present on the list, like choosing 01:45 we get the number 7,29166666666667E-02. Is there a way to cause the ComboBox to display the proper values present on the list the RowSource is linked to?
I have number of items and many items appear more than once. I need a formula so that counts the number of item appearing maximum number of times and it displays the name of the text written NOT the number of times it is written. It should also calculate number of times it appears in a particular month.
For E.g.
Table 1-5-2012 Chair 1-5-2012 Fan 3-5-2012 Table 10-5-2012 Fan 1-6-2012 Window 1-6-2012 Glass 1-7-2012 Glass 9-7-2012
I have a long column of 9-digit numbers which represent the swipe-card-ID's of patrons accessing a parking facility. Most of them occur more than once, some of them many times. There is an operational rule that bars them from using the facility more than x times. (I can't implement this limitation in the parking software/hardware, or I would happily do so.)
So my question is, is there a way to process through that column, identifying each unique ID, and reporting any that occur more than x times?
I have made a userform where I calculate how long time an operation takes. If the time fe.g. is 25 hours and 24 minutes then I get the result 1:24. I have attached my userform as it looks now. If you write 540 in the bar and 550 in volume and press "Beregn" then "Norm tid + 10%" will write 1:24 and not 25:24. Is it possible to have the Userform to write 25:24 or 1day and 1 hour and 24minutes?
I have a large dataset (24000 rows) that requires me to multiply two different columns of integers. In some cases, the two integers are both negative and multiplying them results in a product that is positive. I actually need that product to be negative rather than positive. I can't quite seem to figure out the best way to accomplish this.
I have data that comes from a subsytem that places the negative sign at the right of the number, so it is recognized as text. I can get around this using find and replace and then a second step to multiply that by -1, but is there a formula that can do this for me?
I have data starting in E7. I want it to go down the column and find the negative numbers. If it finds one then I want it to change the number in the row to the left of it to a negative. So if E67 is a negative number, make D67 a negative and so forth down the line Sounds "simple" but how do I do it?
I have data in range J2:J365 , H368:H401 & J403:J827. i want to check wether this range have negative values or not if yes load all negative values in the listbox1 by clicking checkbox.
In my workbook I have about 20 sheets (less in the attached sample), and on most sheets I’d like to query data for each day and find an average value based on the time and then copy that result into another sheet. I’m not sure if I’ll need 2 macro’s for this or if one can be used.
Here’s a quick description:
Assuming that I am currently in the sheet I want to run the macro, then I will either input “1:45” or “0:45” into a popup box, or I could always simply input the 1:45 or 0:45 in the code itself. I’m flexible
1:45:
If I input 1:45, then I’d like the macro to find the first 1:45 in Column B and the value in the same row in Column F will be used in the calculation. Once 1:45 is located, then the macro moves up to find 22:45 in Column B and the value in the same row in Column F will be used in the calculation.....
I'm looking for a formula that will calculate the difference in times between specific times while working with a 24 hr clock. Please see details below:
E3 provides the start time of 4:00 H3 provides an end time of 15:30
If an employee works betwen the hours of 0:00 (midnight) to 5:59, this is considered DIFF hours and is therefore the number I am seaking. So for the data noted above, the total DIFF hours worked is 2 hours.
I have attached the spreadsheet for reference. All other sheets pull information from the WHITE sheet.
I want the columns for unit price, discount and total to be set to two decimal places but I also don't want it to show anything if the field has a 0 value (so if i only have a few items I don't get lots of o's).
To get the field to not display a 0 if it is empty on the WHITE sheet I have been using "0;-0;;@" which I found on the net. If I use this then it negates the two decimal places.
I thought I found a formula that would work, but it's not working. Each month I have to count the number of service tickets that have arrived between certain time ranges. They want to gauge during what times we seem to get the biggest batch of service requests.
6 am to 10 am 10 am to 5 pm 5 pm to 6 pm 6 pm to 6 am
The format of the cells are:
1:21:19 AM 1:28:08 AM 1:35:48 AM 1:49:19 AM 2:17:02 AM 7:14:38 AM 7:29:12 AM 8:08:28 AM 8:51:48 AM 8:54:19 AM
The formula I tried for 10 am to 5 pm: =COUNTIF(B2:B677,">="&TIME(10,0,0))-COUNTIF(B2:B677,">"&TIME(17,0,0))
It gives a result of 676, and I know from manually counting that there is only 327 cells that have a time between 10 am and 5 pm.
I included a spreadsheet that lays out what I am looking to do, basically I copied some times and speed from net. It shows up in non 24 hour format. I need to find the times and an associated speed for each row (day) directly before and after my inputted desired time. I've searched for days, tried different formulas with index, match, lookups, timevalue, time, etc and even tried using other peoples vba code without success.
i need to calculate between time. If a person is working between 8 till 12 and then 1 till 5 i need to count the instances between these times.. so if somebody is working between these hours a 1 should appear and if they have finished their shift or are on lunch then this should change to 0
