Selecting Named Range Before Printing Using Print Button?
Oct 17, 2013I have been trying to see if I can set up a single (A1) print button to create a selection box to select a name range and than print that range, but have been unable to figure out how to accomplish it. I have 26 name ranges called PP01 thru PP26 and I want to be able to select the range before printing.

The problem is that, as coded, "cancel" button does not cancel the print.

Automatically Set Print Range For Last Row Before Printing
Feb 19, 2008I'd like to set the print range based on the last row with text in specific columns. I found a couple of macros in this forum to adapt, but neither are working. Extra rows, which only contain conditional formatting, and other excluded rows and columns still print.

Capture Print Zoom Value Before Printing
Apr 19, 2008In a previous, expired thread, the following code was suggested as a way to capture the page-setup zoom value after setting PagesTall and PagesWide. It works fine when single-stepping in the VB Editor and when run directly by the user, via a button click or Tools=>Macros...=>Run, but fails when run under a Worksheet_Activate() event call.
Does anyone understand why that is and/or have a fix or workaround?

May 5, 2009I am trying to write VBA code that will print a print range that is presented in cell F3 on a "Reports" worksheet. The content of F3 will change depending on how many reports the user selects to print. For example, he could select one, two, three reports etc - up to twelve. The cell ranges of each report are named (e.g. Report1, Report2 etc) so that if the user selects to print Reports 1 and 2, the contents of cell F3 are "Report1,Report2". If I replace WhatToPrint with "Report1,Report2" the print macro works.

When it starts printing it starts off with my "JOBCOM" sheet which is sheet20. why it would start printing with that one. That sheet shouldn't even print at all. It's only supposed to print sheets6 to sheet18.
Selective Printing; Print A Label For Each Rack
May 9, 2007We have a program that sorts Characters into separate racks. I need to print a label for each rack. I can set the print area to cover the whole rack area but what I do not want to do is print blank labels. As you can see I have blank labels at the end of the row, and occasionally there will be one in the middle of the row as well. I have attached a screen shot of the list that I need to print. Is there any way that I can set the printer to only print the label that does have information on it? or am i going to have to print the blank labels in the middle as well?

When user prints this spreadsheet all that prints is the image and the textbox.
I have cleared the print area reset the print area removed the picture (prints only the text box)
and none of these changes have changed what prints.
I have checked all printer setting and these appear normal.
previously user could print this spreadsheet fine and all other worksheets in the workbook print fine as well.
other users are still able to print to the same printer correctly from this spreadsheet.
Excel 2010 :: Print Hundreds Of 6 Column Charts Using Maximum Page For Printing

I have over 800+ pages of chart that only takes up 6 columns and around like 9000+ rows.
I wanted to print this chart on paper and need hardcopies. However, the chart in its current setup prints only on the left half of the page leaving the right half empty.
How do i make use of the full space properly? Each chart has a "page number" on it so I want the chart to print continuously from one half of the page onto the next half and then the second page, third, etc.
Here is a visual demonstration of how things currently are and how i'd like to get them to be:

Print Button On Various Worksheets?
Jan 8, 2014I have an Excel form that contains 7 tabbed worksheets, one for each day of the week Sun thru Sat, that is a nutrition tracker and an 8th tab which is a food library. I put two buttons on the food library to automatically sort it by different categories and they work great for me. Then I put a printer icon on each of the daily sheets to print a single worksheet (in B&W) with the following macro changing the "from" and "to" to correct worksheet number for each day. Screenprint below.
Using "Monday" worksheet as an example I first tried using sheet number 10 as shown in the VBA Project below for the "From" and "Two" and it printed the wrong pages, so I went to the worksheet number as they are tabbed in the file, Monday being sheet 2, and it works fine (on my computer).
It works great from my computer, but if I send it to someone else and they try to print they receive the following errors: When they open the spreadsheet and click the print button this error comes up:

Creating A Print Button Using VB
May 17, 2007I have been given a workbook that contains say 10 sheets. The first sheet is a summary sheet that will contain a 'Print' button. The idea is that when the Print button is selected all the sheets that's have been filled out will be printed.
For example.
I have a workbook that has 10 sheets to fill out. The user has filled out 7 out of the 10 sheets and when selecting the Print button, I require only the 7 completed sheets to print.
I thought the best way to go about this was to look at 1 particular cell on each sheet. If the cell is blank, do not print the sheet, otherwise do so.

Jul 13, 2006I have a workbook that has about 50 pages on 7 different tabs. I would like to add a print button next to each page that would only print that specific page or range. Is there a way to do this? For exampe I have a page that is named equipment log, Cells A1 through A33 are what I want to print if someone hits the print button. Mar 29, 2013I have a sheet that I would like to print to one page (11x17, landscape) and have it take up the majority of the page. The largest the sheet will ever be is data in rows 1 - 71, and columns A - AC. Right now I have it set up so that when i click on the button, the print dialog opens up and no adjustments are needed to print to pdf in 11x17 for the maximum amount of data.
Overall what I am trying to do is have the zoom change when rows are deleted (columns will always be A-AC). The top 5 rows and bottom 5 rows will always be there. I want the top and bottom margins to be the same on the pdf even if 10 rows are deleted in between.

I have a Date column in a table that I can get a different macro to print by basially having the macro filter by blanks, so essentially printing all the dates in the table, but I feel as if it could be much better and simpler by prompting the macro to filter by "x" Month and print.

Now, where this gets tricky, is that I still want to be able to override this automatic number printing if I want, by selecting 'File/Print...' from the menu and choosing a different number of pages to print.
