Excel 2007 :: Calculate Time By Time Periods Splitting Productivity?

I am trying to figure a way to search for a cell that has a specific date and time range. There are several cell titles pending on the activity. I want to find a cell that has a time ** 7:30-15:30 , 15:31-17:30, 17:31-20:30. The end result is to calculate the activity between those time periods based on the data cells.
Example
If the date searched time field ** the activity ranges is 1635 I need to split the time and credit the activity time in the 730-1530 time and the rest on the 15:31-17:30 time
I have been able to do it on a single labor group based on time alone, but when I try to add the DATE to it my numbers go null. Eventually i will need to add 11 labor groups daily for weeks at a time .
I have thousands of timestamps that have a start & end date and time in 2 separate columns. (one named start and one named end...)
I also have numerous set time periods that i'm interested in.. (about a dozen or so)
for example 01/01/2008 - 05/01/2008, 07:30:00 - 10:00:00
What i need is to be able to count the number of times the full time period i am interested (07:30:00 - 10:00:00) in falls in between the thousands of start and end timestamps i have. The time periods must also fall within the date range specifed.
So if my timestamps were Start: 01/01/2008 06:30:00 & End: 02/01/2008 11:00:00, based on the set time period above, there would be a count of 2
and if my timestamps were Start: 01/01/2008 07:05:00 & End: 02/01/2008 09:00:00 there would be a count of zero as there is not a full uninterupted timeperiod 07:00:00 - 10:00:00 between these timestamps.
and if my timestamps were: Start 01/01/2007 07:00:00 & End 02/01/2007 10:00:00 the count would be zer as this is a year early!
What formula could I use so that the amount under STP premium would display at the right cell under different time periods depending on the time of the trade date, just like the following images?
I'm using this formula (below) to add the hrs between 2 time periods (4:30 pm in cell I37 and 8:00 pm in I38, then the formula is in I39) and works almost every time even when the second time goes into the am hours, except in certain instances such as: 4:30 pm to 11pm show as 30.5? But sometimes it shows the correct number, 6.5
I need to produce a graph that provides the user with opportunity to define the time period, i.e. start and end dates for the data to be used in the graph.
I have a spreadsheet that holds a list of customers and the contracts they have with my company - this sheet includes the Total Contract Value in £s - so how much each customer will pay us for the service - the period of the service - so the start date of 01/01/08 to end date of 31/12/08 for example. What I then have is all the months across the top of my spreadsheet and I need to extrapolate the contract value, based on the period between the months.
Initially I had complicated formulas that simply divide the value by the number of months of the contract - however, my company has since changed the policy and requires it to be done to the day.
For example, if the value was £12,000 and the period was 12 months from 01/01/08 - to calculate January 08 it would be - 12,000 / 365 * 31, Feb would be 12,000 / 365 * 29 and so on...
Does anyone know how I can do this - bearing in mind that each contract won't be as easy as 12 months - it may be start date of 15/06/08 to 08/10/10 for example... If anyone can help me do a formula or formulae to calculate the value for each month - I would be very very grateful - as always... [/img]
I am trying to plot two data series in one chart. The first series has monthly corn prices for last 10 years (~130 data points). The second series has bimonthly chicken prices over the last 10 years ( ~72 points). How can I plot them together? The bi-monthly periods for the second series do not exactly coincide with calender months ( e.g. Aug 19 to Oct 13, 2007). As a result, I can not adjust the points to match with calender months.
S1 - "End" No. | ID | Name | Login | Total | Jan-07 | Feb-07 | March-07 | => | Dec-07 S2 - "Datasource" ID | Irrelevant Name | Period | State | Irrelevant Data
I need something to go through the unique IDs in the "Datasource" & find a match in the "End" spreadsheet & then insert the number "1" in the corresponding time period (matching Period with Jan-07 or which ever it's suppose to represent). The Period is written in the following format:
122007 for December 2007 12008 for January 2008
One thing, the datasource has dates for both 2007 & 2008. The end spreadsheet has 2007 in one worksheet & 2008 in another.
the vendor has a 21 hr working window; start from 7am and goes until 4am; Mon to Fri.
Here is a scenario: - i request for a product information from a vendor on 3-Feb-14 8:00am (Monday) - he replies with all of the product info on 6-Feb-14 12:00pm (Thursday)
can you find the time in above scenario consideration the working window?
Here is another scenario: - i request for a product information from a vendor on 6-Feb-14 8:00am (Thursday) - he replies with all of the product info on 11-Feb-14 12:00pm (Tuesday) - Sat & Sun are days off but keep in mind that my Friday shift ends on sat at 4am so the networdays formula wont work.
I am wanting to calculate the the processing time for an order that takes place within normal business hours and workweek. A normal day is from 8:00 to 5:00 If a task is started at 2:00 PM Monday and finished at 10:00 AM Tuesday then the result should be 5 hours as I do not want to include any time outside of normal hours. I can figure out how to subtract dates and times but not how to bridge a day(s). My data is somewhat flexible as I have not started the project yet. I can use separate cells for the times and dates or have two cells that use both incorporate the date and time (8/27/09 2:00 PM) for start and end time or any other idea.
I have a userform that time stamps on my userform as soon as i open the form, is there a way that when I submit, that the amount of time that I was on the call to be put in my column on my worksheet as minutes?
I am attempting to create a formula that will count the number of times, lets say letter A, occurs in column E. However, the tricky part that I have been confused on is that I only want to count how many times A occurs between each hour of the day. I need to count number of times "A" occurs between each hour of the day for the entire month.
My Worksheet looks as such: Column A contains the dates for the month of November, Column B contains times that random instances occur, Column C is not important, Column E contains a Letter A-N that pertains to what occurred at a time in column B. SO, Column B and column E coordinate with each other.
Here is an example. Column A - Cell A1 - 11/01/2013 , A2 - 11/02/2013, A3 - 11/03/2013. Column B - Cell B1 - 12:01 AM , Cell B2 - 14:03 , Cell B3 - 15:23 Column C - Cell E1 - A , Cell E2 - A, Cell E3 - B
So I would like Column F to display that between 12:00 - 12:59 Am there was X number of times the letter A occurred throughout the entire month.
By the way ....D1 = start Date F1 = End Date E1 = start Time G1 = End Time
It's GREAT! But now I need include time from 6:00 a. m. to 10:00 p. m. (I already modified your formula:
(NETWORKDAYS(D1,F1)-1)*("22:00"-"6:00")+IF(NETWORKDAYS(F1,F1),MEDIAN(G1,"6:00","22:00"),"22:00")-MEDIAN(NETWORKDAYS(D1,D1)*E1,"6:00","22:00")) because are regular working hours in Colombia but:
1. All the days (Monday to Saturday) are working days 2. I just want to calculate the time in shifts, I don't specify the start date and end date. Example: 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Result: 2 hours, because 1 hour is after 10:00 p.m.
This are two different options, so I need two separate formulas.
I have to calculate the difference between the start time and end time of a job. The only catch is, how can I avoid calculating "out of hours" time. So, if a job goes from 9am to 9am the next day, I want it to avoid calculating between the hours of 23:30 and 03:30.
Another example is if a job goes from 02:00 to 04:00, I want it to avoid the tim between 02:00 and 03:00.
If there is a difference in days, so the job goes overnight, how do I take that into consideration also.
I've got a time difference from 8:00AM - 12:30PM as 4.30 I'm trying to get the minutes, .30, converted into a 6 minute increment, .5. Is it possible to do this and if so how would it be done? Below is a chart of how the time is converted from 6 minutes increments into decimal form.
I'm trying to devise a formula to produce "days in inventory" based on the following data:
Date In Date Out (which may be blank if cargo still here) Todays Date Days in Whse (which is the formula I can't figure out!)
It needs to work like this, date out - date in, unless date out is null. If date out is null, the result should be calculated based off of todays date - date in.
I have been trying to get excel to calculate elapsed time between two dates using mostly what I've read from other elapsed time posts. But I am clearly missing a step. I'm trying to streamline my process for taxes.
I want to take a time in the format of " yy/mm/dd hhmm " example: 1
3/04/24 2245 ( note its a 24hr clock) 13/04/24 2245 would represent 2013 April the 24th at 10:45PM.
------- A --------------- B -------------------- C 13/04/24 2245 ------13/05/24 0900 ---------[display hrs elapsed] <-- currently get #name?
I have custom formatted A and B to yy/mm/dd hhmm and formatted c to [h]:mm
When you enter b-a in column c you get #name?
If its easier to have the date and time into separate columns I can give that a shot, I was just trying to make it as streamlined as possible for copy past.
How to get the "Expected date and time of closure" in MS Excel 2007
Call No. ABCD Login Date 2/15/2014 Login Tme 9:30 AM Agreed SLA (Service Level Agreement) 1hr Accessibility Type 24hrs Site Accessibility 24hrs Accessibility Days All Days ETC Date ? ETC Time ?
The code below scans from the column on the row of the worksheet till it finds a blank, this seems to work ok as I previously had a msgbox in that displayed the value of n once the loop finished
So I was hoping that the values in the columns on that row would be added to the combobox but for some reason I get a typing missmatch error.
Code:
Dim n As Integer n = 1 Do While LValue6 "" 'find out how many alternatives there are LValue6 = FoundISBN.Offset(0, 32 + n).Value n = n + 1 DataInput.ComboBox1(n) = LValue6 - I was hoping that the value in the cell was added to the combobox Loop
Basically I have some performance figures for a fund that I want to make a chart for, the problem is that the first date (the start date of the fund) is 15/09/2011 but every reporting date after that is the end of the month.
So my data looks something like this (not real figures)
So what I want is a graph where the x axis starts at 15/09/11 but then the next label is 30/09/11 and 31/10/11 etc, while still keeping the scale proportionate to the dates, ie the distance between 15/09/11 and 30/09/11 will be half the distance between 30/09/11 and 31/10/11.
The 2 outcomes I seem to be stuck with is either forcing the graph to start at 31/08/11 and making the y axis cross at 15/09/11, however with this the x axis goes left past the y axis cross point and it just looks dumb, although everything right of the y axis is correct.
Or secondly I get the graph to start at 15/09/11 and set it to label every 1 month and all the labels are 15/09/11, 15/10/11, 15/11/11 etc
I am using Excel 2007 on Windows 7. I would like to remove duplicates as follows: If column A = column A, column B = column B, and the two rows are within one hour of each other, then remove all duplicates, leaving one instance of the row. As you can see, sometimes the duplicates are right next to each other, and sometimes have rows between them. (Rows 1 & 2, Rows 30 & 32). Even though this sample doesn't show it, sometimes there can be tens of duplicates within an hour, not just two.

I enter a date and time in a cell, e.g. "2013-10-07 12:30", and then I save the workbook.
When I open the Workbook again, the cell contents is "2013-10-07 00:00".
I am currently using Excel 2007. I haven't tested this explicitly with Excel 2013 which is my normal working version, but I think I should have noticed it if it had happened in 2013.
