Find Addresses Without Street Number

Jan 21, 2010

I have an address list of 64,000 entries that I want to geo-code (the geo-coding isn't the problem...). A large % of addresses don't have street numbers and this just gives a general position based on the Post/ Zip code which isn't accurate enough - it needs to have an actual street number. I want to extract all of the addresses without a street number so I can cross check them with something else (not an Excel problem). Trouble is some of the street numbers are embedded in a string - might be a multiple NOT problem. Attached a sample file...

Breaking Apart Street Addresses

Jan 15, 2010

Sheet1, Column3 is filled with property addresses, if available (some are blank). I need two columns on Sheet2, Column3 needs to be the street number and Column4 needs to be the street name.

Because it is not 'fixed length', I can't use 'RIGHT' or 'LEFT'

I have attached a sample file. There is other data/information on the sheet, but I can process the rest without help. I will be moving:
Sheet1, Column1 to Sheet2, Column2
Sheet1, Column2 to Sheet2, Column1
Sheet1, Column3 to...as described above...

Extract #'s & Names From P. O. Box & Street Addresses

Apr 27, 2009

When entering addresses in column G, need VBA Sheet Code to extract:
1 numbers of P. O. Box & Street & put in column K of the same row
2 words P. O. Box & Street Names & put in column L of the same row.

The pound sign is always used for the apartment number, etc, after the street name. For Example:

141 Radio #181 | 141 | Radio
P. O. Box 4932 | 4932| P. O. Box

Return Value If Number Is In Range Even And Then Matches The Street

Mar 16, 2014

Basically, I have a huge list of addresses with ID numbers, and a list without the ID numbers. An example would be;

2-10 (evens), test road, ID123.

I need to identify if the address is on the street, is in that block of flats (i.e between 2-10, and even number), and then return the ID.

I've already split the number between two cells, but then its all gone a bit wrong.

Find Cell Addresses To Define Match Array

Jul 17, 2009

= IF(AND(MATCH($B8, [AXS.xls]Sheet1!$E$1:$E$400,0) - 2 = $C8,
INDEX([AXS.xls]Sheet1!$B$1:$B$400, MATCH(CX$2, INDEX([AXS.xls]Sheet1!$B:$B, $C8 + 16):INDEX([AXS.xls]Sheet1!$B:$B, $C9), 0) ) ),
INDEX([AXS.xls]Sheet1!$A$1:$E$400, MATCH(CX$2, INDEX([AXS.xls]Sheet1!$B:$B, $C8 + 16):INDEX([AXS.xls]Sheet1!$B:$B, $C9), 0), 3), " ")

i have this formula, and i think it will work if i find a way to correct the blue areas. they are trying to define the match array. i tried using the address and cell functions with no luck. i just want the array to return something like B2:B15 (from the AXS sheet) so the match function works. in the current sheet, C8 and C9 have values that refer to rows in the AXS sheet

Worksheet Change Event :: Find Email Addresses

Oct 16, 2007

Private Sub Worksheet_Change(ByVal Target As Range)
Application.EnableEvents = False
If Target.Count > 1 Then Exit Sub
If Target.Column = 1 Then
If Target = "" Then
Cells(Target.Row, 3).ClearContents
Else: If Target.Value = "test" Then Cells(Target.Row, 3) = my.Email.co.uk
End If
End If
Application.EnableEvents = True
End Sub

Basically, my target column is column A, i have 200 employee numbers, now we have to find the email addresses manually which is useless so i want to spend the time writing some code like:

If the target column is 123456 then the offset column D is email address
If the target column is 654321 then the offset column D value is email address.

I have 200 statements like this ill need to add unless anyone has any suggestions, perhaps select case structure?? I dont really know where to start an so i await your replies.

Custom Number Format For Displaying MAC Addresses

However. the characters can be either letters or numbers. I've modified the "hh:mm:ss" template to accomodate the format I need, but it will not recognize letters for the obvious reason. Is there a wildcard character that I could use in this format or has anyone created a format that would meet my needs? If I can pull this off, it could mean a promotion.

Find Cell Value Row Number & Use For Column Number

Jun 2, 2008

to update these values via a form in this sheet. I can find the correct row to be edited by entering a value from column A and B. The problem is if I want display the values of that row first and then change it. If I want to change row 10 data how can I bring back the value in ROW 3 AND THE COLUMN VALUE? The next step would be to do the actual update if I want to change ROW 10 to "Ooi" and a sales value of 200?

This is what I have done so far:

Dim myRows As Integer

With Sheets("Mrt")

'Retrieve history information for row
For myRows = 4 To 49
If comboxDay.Text = Range("A" & myRows).Value And textboxdescription.Text = Range("B" & myRows).Value Then
textboxbedrag.Text = Range("C" & myRows).Value
chkBTW_Ja.Value = Range("D" & myRows).Value
txtNota.Text = Range("S" & myRows).Value
End If
Next
End With

Using InStr To Find Number Within A Number?

Jun 6, 2006

I work for a store and we're migrating to a new Point of Sale system. The new POS uses the entire UPC code while our existing one uses only partial UPCs, so I have to update from the partial to the full. ex. Partial 3378093 - Full 0033780935

The partial UPC will always be included in the full UPC, the difference is the dropped leading zeros (and possibly other numbers) and the check digit number at the end. What I have is a spreadsheet with with two worksheets (Old, New) - one has our old UPCs and other information, the other has the new, full UPCs and more information we'll need. What I want to do is write a function that will search through the full list of new UPCs to find the one with the old UPC inside it and return the full UPC. InStr seems the right function to do this - correct?

The part I'm having trouble with is writing something that will search through the full column of new UPCs using InStr. I've searched through the forum for a similar situation but the few I've found aren't working or appropriate. I don't want to include any code I've written because 1) it doesn't work and 2) it would be way too embarassing!

VLOOKUP - Addresses

Jul 8, 2008

I have a form in which a user selects a Suburb, a State and a Post Code (each from a Data Validation List)

Suburb /Town StatePost Code

The 15,000 Suburbs with their associated Post Code and State are correctly sorted on a seperate worksheet in their 3 columns.

The Objective: To determine if the User has correctly chosen the correct matching Suburb, State and Postcode from the 3 Lists.

Problem: I know it is possible to concentate the 3 together and have one List but I do not want to do this I want to meet the objective.

When using VLOOKUP, because their are many Suburbs with the same name and different Postode.... or Same Postcode with different Suburbs etc I am finding it difficult to get an exact match because the VLOOKUP selects the first correct value it finds.

Question: Is it possible to write an IF statement with VLOOKUP to get an exact match across the 3 fields?
