Find Predominant Number In List

I have a basic understanding of simple calculations but beyond that I am kind of lost.
I have a list of numbers ranging from $9,516 to $110,000 and I am trying to figure out a manner to determine what is the most common number rounded to the nearest $10,000.
When I use the mode function it only tells me the absolute number that has the most occurences. I am trying to determine the predominate group in the overall range. Basically I want to count the number of occurences in the forty thousand range, fifty thousand range, etc. so I can determine what is the most popular $10,000 range.

I have a new list of Serial Numbers that were given to me in an Excel file. The original source of the data was an AS400 database.
I wanted to "Find" some of these numbers in another list that I already had (List B). So I selected a cell in the new list, and pressed Ctrl-C. I then selected all of List B, opened the Find dialog box and used Ctrl V to paste in the Serial Number to find. The problem was that Excel said it could not find the Serial Number, even though I knew there is a match, and could see the number it should have found.
So I pasted the number I was searching on into an empty cell. When I checked the length, it was one character longer than expected. It turned out that that there was an extra leading space. I could delete this space in the cell, but not in the Find dialog box.
Also, when I selected the number in the cell, and this time highlighted it all, then copied it, and then pasted it into Find, the Find worked! In other words, it only didn't work when I did Ctrl C without selecting/highlighting the text.

I have several worksheets where I input data, and I would like a 'stats' page as worksheet 1. Work sheet one is a list of names in cells A4:A28. column B,C,D,E,F, and G contain the results using Countif. How would I now get excel to look down a column, for example B, to find the highest number in that column and then use the name from that line but in column A.

I have a sheet which details specific card numbers in Column A, and the date and place of transaction in the Column B. This very long list contains multiple entries for each card number. What I would like to do is use Sheet2 to list each card number and the number of times it appears in the list.

I am looking for a formula to search two columns.
1) The first column needs to be search to match a text string.
2) If the text string matchs, I need excel to evaluate the number in the second column and find the MIN value of all numbers associated with the text string.
So:
Joe 50
Jim 12
Joe 10
Rob 25
Jim 8
Rob 99
When searching for "Joe", the function would return 10. When searching for "Jim" the function would return 8. For "Rob", it would return "25".

I have a list of 200,000 e-mail addresses in a excel document in column A. What i am trying todo is find all the duplicate e-mail addresses within the list that appears more than four times.
I have tried this forumla in colunm B so it lists how many times the record appears: =countif($A$2:$A$244270,A2) which works fine and then a number appears next to each record. Then i pressed the sort filter to arrange all the records in number order so all the 5's are at the top of the worksheet but that does'nt always list them in the correct number order.
Basically all i want todo is find all the records that appear in my list more than five times then make a list of just one of those 5 records so i can remove them from my e-mail system.

I have a large amount of data and I'm trying to count how many unique values I have in one column. I also want to know how many times each duplicate appears. I tried using a pivot table but it's not working for me.
I also tried the following formula: =SUM(IF(FREQUENCY(H:H,H:H)>0,1)) but it's not quite working.

Items in Column A1 are calculated by (B2/4+5)*1.4 Items located under the columns 2000, 3000, 4000, etc... 10,000 are calculated by taking the top number, eg 2000/(A1 cell value)+the column B number. 2000/7+0 = 286 (rounded numbers)
I need to find an way to look up for x number (2000,3000,4000, etc...) find the smallest number in that column and then return the value in column A1.

I have attached an example. If I have a set of numbers such as the one attached, is it possible to create a formula that will show me all the combinations of numbers that add up to 55.52? In the attached I have highlighted in different colours all the number combinations that add up to 55.52. The numbers highlighted in blue appear within more then one combination. Is there a formula that can do this for me, instead of randomly adding numbers hoping they add up to 55.52.

I'm making a Excel 2013 spreadsheet that has formula in a column that auto enters a number 1-40 when something is entered to the left of that cell. There are 300 rows in the spreadsheet. I would like to make a drop down list in a column cell to the right that would delete that number in that cell from the drop down list. For example cell C1 has 39, that 39 then is deleted from the drop down list. C2 has 22 in it, click on the drop down list cell and it shows 1-40 less 39 and 22.

I have a requirement where I want my list should auto increment with number only.
For example: I want to fill below text in cell and when I drag the cell( Along the column A) and fill the rows downward it should automaticallly incremented.
Data in one cell say (A1) is like 001_TCO_CM, now I want to drag data present in cell A1 and wants data in cell A2, A3, A4 etc... it should get increment like
A2 = 002_TCO_CM
A3 = 003_TCO_CM
A4 = 004_TCO_CM
and so on...any method or way present in Excel 2003 so that my series should get auto filled.

I want to count the number of times any given number appears either as a consecutive group or singularly.
To give you a context I monitor windturbines and for any given fault code I wish to count the number of events it occurs in a month. Now it could be for 1 hour then clear the next then back for 17 then claer again. That would be 2 events!
NB the data is in seperate coulumns per turbine.

to update these values via a form in this sheet. I can find the correct row to be edited by entering a value from column A and B. The problem is if I want display the values of that row first and then change it. If I want to change row 10 data how can I bring back the value in ROW 3 AND THE COLUMN VALUE? The next step would be to do the actual update if I want to change ROW 10 to "Ooi" and a sales value of 200?

I work for a store and we're migrating to a new Point of Sale system. The new POS uses the entire UPC code while our existing one uses only partial UPCs, so I have to update from the partial to the full. ex. Partial 3378093 - Full 0033780935
The partial UPC will always be included in the full UPC, the difference is the dropped leading zeros (and possibly other numbers) and the check digit number at the end. What I have is a spreadsheet with with two worksheets (Old, New) - one has our old UPCs and other information, the other has the new, full UPCs and more information we'll need. What I want to do is write a function that will search through the full list of new UPCs to find the one with the old UPC inside it and return the full UPC. InStr seems the right function to do this - correct?
The part I'm having trouble with is writing something that will search through the full column of new UPCs using InStr. I've searched through the forum for a similar situation but the few I've found aren't working or appropriate. I don't want to include any code I've written because 1) it doesn't work and 2) it would be way too embarassing!

I'm trying to find a formula that can be input in the yellow cells shown, which automatically searches for the last date seen/entered for that particular client. I wish to be able to sort Column A and look for all client's seen in say "January" and it show the last date the client was seen that year. Hopefully the example will be clear.

I have a list of numbers in a column and I need to find which numbers
when summed together equal a figure. I have a list of invoice amounts
that I need to match up with payments (the payments are always made for
several invoices so I need to come up with sums of several invoices to
get to this payment amount).
An example would be I have this in the following section (A1:A10):

In have 2 columns of data (temperature & gas evaloved) in A2..A200 and B2..B200
I use =INDEX(A2:A200,MATCH(MAX(B2:B200),B2:B200,0)) to find the
max value gas evolved in column B then read off the temperature from column A.
I now need to look down the list and take the 10th reading for temperature and gas evolved after the max gas evolved value in column B.
I've looked at the use of Index, Offset, Row & Match here on the forum in other posts but I juist cant seem to grasp it in my head what to do.

What I have is a list of numbers, many of which are duplicated, in no particular order and I really want to avoid sorting. What I want to find is the lowest position in the list of a particular value. Unfortunaly MATCH only seems to return the first occurance of the value. Not really looking for a VBA solution.

I Want To Add A Function To A Worksheet That Allows A User To Type A Word And It To Return Matches And Their Corresponding Number In A Different Column. For Example If A User Types In "new" In Cell A1 I Would Like For The Sheet To Return "new Deal" "1"; "new Order" "2"; "new Meal" "3"; And So One Until All Values Of "new" Are Returned. I am trying to find the smallest values in a list. that part is easy (use SMALL). But, I want the ref to the cell where that value is in, not the value itself. Additional problem occurs when more than one of these values are the same. Example: A1 = 1; A2 = 3 ; A3 = 2 ; A4 = 2 ; etc. If I want the smallest, I want "A1" as result, for the 2nd smallest I want "A3", for the 3rd smallest I want "A4". So you see that a MATCH formula will not work beceause some of the values are the same.

looking to find a formula to find the courses that an employee has not taken from a list. I have a list of courses in column F, in which I can compare to column C using their EmpID number from column A and obtain a result as taken or missing in column D. I am currently using :

to get the results in column D. However, with these two formulas I am getting all the courses taken by each employee and not the missing courses.
