Flush Only N Number Of Rows With Results

I want to flush N Number of Rows by giving a Number in a cell. For example, in a Template, viz., loan amortization Calculator, provided by Microsoft, the number of Rows is restricted to the number shown against "Number of Months" and all the rows flushed remain filled with the result exepcted.

Flush Memory VBA

One of my apps I run is very large and memory intensive, and there are several subsequent procedures which tend to either bog down or errors out before the program finishes running.

Is there a way to clear the memory out?

And adding more physical memory is not an option, I have 4gigs already and Excel can only utilize 1gig anyway.

Lookup Number Results In #N/A

i have this file that has about 12000 rows of numbers (a individual number can appear more than one). i'm trying to use a lookup to find if that number appears and if it does then bring back the amount next to the number.. however because the vlookup sees that the number more than one in the list it will bring back #N/A every time. Is there a way to get around this??

Calculating Number Of True Results From If Formula

I am using a spreadsheet to determine if students are meeting Growth Targets between a pre test and post test.

Here is my formula

=If(D8>=C8,"yes","no")

D8 is the Growth Target and C8 is the Post test Score.

After doing this, I need to calculate the percentage of Yes results. This year it will be easy, as it only applies to 25 students. Count the yes's and multiply by 4. Next year, it will apply to number in the neighborhood of 150 students.

I am building an excel workbook to calculate a number of different results and I am having trouble with one particular formula.

I need to enter in a formula that will return a value for the following:

ex. C21 = 10
C22 = 10
C23 = 10

C24 = IF CUMULATIVE SUM OF C21:C23 IS GREATER THAN 15 THEN START COUNTING AT 15 BUT INCLUDE THE FIRST 15

SO USING THE EXAMPLE ....IF C21:C23 = 30 THEN C24 SHOULD EQUAL 30. BUT IF C21:C23 WERE TO EQUAL 14 THEN C24 SHOULD EQUAL 0

Compare Rows Of Two Tables And Put Results In A Third

I have two tables with "X" and <Blank> data. The tables share the same column headers. I want to compare the rows of each table and if the rows contain an "X" in the same column then it puts an "X" in the third table. I have attached a sample file with my expected results on the third worksheet. I have created named ranges if that helps the formula writing.

Name1 =Sheet1!$A$2:$A$5
Name2 =Sheet2!$A$2:$A$5
Produce =Sheet1!$B$1:$E$1
Group1 =Sheet1!$B$2:$E$5
Group2 =Sheet2!$B$2:$E$5

Sumproduct seems to do the trick if I turn the "X" into "1" and <blank> into "0". If there is a match the value is greater than "1".

=SUMPRODUCT(Sheet1!$B$2:$E$2,Sheet2!$B$2:$E$2)

I prefer to use "X" though if I can. I would like to automate the formula instead of manually adjusting the ranges for every cell.

Aggregate Number Of Good And Bad Results Per User On Different Sheet

I have a database file where users name can be located in 2 neighbor columns. Against each user name (in next 2 cells on the right) there is a evaluation (good or bad).That database will be growing and new additions will be added each month. That means one user can appear several times on a different row with different evaluation.

In the same file I have a separate sheet where I need after running a macros to have aggregated list of users (in one column) and against each user I would like to see how many how many good and bad score he have. It will be good if users are sorted in alphabetical order.

I need to filter a large database using multiple OR criterias.

Database is CUSTOMER NAMES in each row with CONSUMED PRODUCTS following in each cell.

I want to filter two or more products and list customer names in sheet2. Like listing customers using salt or pepper Filter criterias will be entered into cells in sheet2 with results shown below and I want search to be active and alive just like vlookup function.

I have a big DB with several rows and columns.

Column C has a location name (e.i. madrid)
Column L has a date (the date is when the card was used)

Search Workbook For Cells That Meet Multiple Criteria And Return Results From Rows

I would like to perform a search on only the worksheets listed in a worksheet titled table of contents. I would like to use multiple criteria for this search and send only the unique results to a worksheet titled results. Each worksheet listed in the table of contents has a cell address for each heading that I would like to extract data from the same column. The attached workbook example shows the data that I would like to collect when I search for cells that begin with "AB" and cells that begin with "CD". I collected this data by copy and pasting all the data from each worksheet into the results page and then applying filters and advanced filter to remove duplicates. This method does not work well for the original workbook as the data is quite extensive.

Summary Sheet Calculate Results Change If Rows Added/deleted In Detail Spreadsheet

[Excel 2003] I have 2 spreadsheets: one to summarize data from a 2nd detail spreadsheet. I'm analyzing work order information for a service operation.

I'm using dynamic name ranges, as follows, for the detail:

WO_Num =OFFSET('WO Tracking Log'!$A6,0,0,COUNT('WO Tracking Log'!$A:$A),1)

Other detail data is defined as these examples show:

GM_X =OFFSET(WO_Num,0,8)
OpenDate =OFFSET(WO_Num,0,1)

All detail data begins in Row 6 in the detail spreadsheet.

In the Summary spreadsheet, it appears to make a difference where my calcs are located in order for my COUNTIF's to work correctly. As long as I keep my summary calc (to total the number of work orders in the detail) in Row 2 of the Summary, it works fine...but if EITHER I move my calc down a row OR if my detail drops down a row because a row was added above (where I have just header info), my summary totals change?!?! I don't understand.

Here are two examples of the calcs I'm using in the summary:

=COUNTIF(WO_Num,">0")
=COUNTIF(GM_X,"X")

Can someone tell me what is going on? What I'm doing wrong?

I am trying to get the results of the number of days between today and a future date. I am using ="cell containing futuredate"-today() and it gets me the correct number of days. The problem comes in when I have yet to populate the future dates. I am getting -39991 (numeric value between today and jan 01 01) and because I am also using conditional formatting this is even more of a problem. Is there a way get excel to display nothing if it is a negative number? or to give a specified resut if the number becomes negative such as Expired or something of that nature?

I am trying to create formula that will show overtime worked in a given day. The code I am using is a simple one ([ cell - 8], for hours worked). The problem is when the time cells are blank/not used it shows a -8 in the cell. what I need to do to create a code that will eliminate the -8 from showing. The cell its self is taking the result from another cell with a formula and then subtracting 8 from the result of the formula in the other cell.

i have a excel file which gives step by step instructions to be followed in doing a task. The number of tasks vary from 100 to 200. Each taks consists of around 10 to 15 steps of intructions. after each task i've coloured one row in golden yellow colour.
I want to number each row in the excel file in column A in this fashion:

1. For task 1 having 15 steps say(i.e 15 rows) start numbering in column A as 1.0, 1.1, 1.2... till 1.15
2. For next Task start from 2.0 and continue as 2.1, 2.2.....

since the file is huge (nearly 5000 lines!!!) i find it difficult, time consuming to do numbering manually even by using the Autofill option in Excel. So it is greatly appriciated if someone helps me by writing a macro to do this task.

Sum Of Variable Number Of Rows

I reckon this should be easier than I'm finding it, but I just can't seem to find the right combination of functions to solve this. In column A I will have an entry every 5 or 6 or 7 rows with blanks rows between. In Column B starting at every row corresponding with an entry in Column A there will be a short column of figures could be 1 2 3 or four or more of them. (the're will always be a blank between the last number in a group in B before the next entry in A). In column C starting at every Row corresponding to an entry in column A I want the sum of the group of figures in Column B.

But here's the rub.... The most important thing is that I can use the same formula all the way down column C. So click the one formula at the top and drag it all the way down 1000 rows.

I'm working on an inventory spreadsheet that includes a user form to gather the data, inputs that into a new row and then I can't get the formula that counts the total inventory to include the newly inserted information.

I know the last Range statement and MyCount are off, but that's my stab at it to try and show you what I want it to do. I want it to count the number of rows between G8 and the end and use that number to modify the cell that has the simple =sum(G8:G-whatever the last number is minus 1 - since the very last row is the one where the sum formula is)
