I am trying to pull the closest times above and below and some other data from various worksheets. I've included a sample worksheet that has a dumbed down version of the tables and sheets.
I am having problems pulling the correct times and believe my error is in this part of the bigger formulas (
COLUMN(INDIRECT(portlookup&C5&"HEAD"))-COLUMN(C1),3)+1<=2
which breaks down to
COLUMN(INDIRECT(ABYJANHEAD))-COLUMN(C1),3)+1<=2
I don't think this is accurately telling my formula how to look at the table and pick the right time. I've tried different mod divisors and still can't get it to pull the right time.
I have a list of ID Numbers and Dates. Let's call this "List 1".
I also have a second list "List 2" which also contains a list of ID Numbers and Dates as well as a third column for Rating.
I am trying to extract the Rating for each ID Number from List 2 and display in List 1. The problem is that the Rating can change with time, so List 2 contains several different Date and Rating values for the same ID Number.
What I need to do is lookup the ID Number from List 1 and return from List 2, for that ID Number, the Rating at the closest date prior to the date for that ID Number in List 1. Example below:
I have a worksheet in which column C is a list of times in 5 minute increments. I want to activate in VBA the cell closest to noon but I can't tell it ("it" being my computer) to just find "12:00 PM" because the actual value may be 12:01, 12:02, 12:03, or 12:04. Is there a way to tell it to activate whichever value is there?
i have 2 columns of data. Column A is state Column B is money owed to that state
So lets say A1 is florida and B1 is 29,000
I am trying for column C to tell me what values (and if possible the cooresponding state) are the 2 closest values above it and the 2 closest values below it in B1:B50. It can appear as a string of text like 27,000 CA 28944 (OR) 31000 (FL) 31200 (GA)
I have a start time in one column, end time in another and a column with the difference between the two. In another column I have profit. In the last column I have profit per hour where I divide the profit by the hours, but since one is hours and the other is a number it gives me an error.
i want to calculate the TAT between two times. the TAT target is <= 2 hours. i used the following formula
a1 has 3/13/2009 (received date) b1 has 7:08 AM (received time) c1 has 3/13/2009 (completed date) d1 has 9:08 AM (completed time) e1 has TAT formula :- '=IF((D1-B1)*1440<=120,"Met TAT","Not Met TAT")
however this formula does not work in the following conditions.
In these conditions, it is considered that TAT is met. 1. When the difference in time is <=2 hours .... for TAT calculation, on working days and working hours are taken into consideration.
To illustrate. Day begins : 8:00 AM Day ends : 4:00 PM
If job is received at 3:30 PM and completed the next working day by 9:30 AM, then it is considered TAT is met. calculation = 4:00 PM - 3:30 PM = half hour + next day's 9:30 AM - 8:00 AM = 1.5 hours, therefore, total working hours used to complete the job is within the agreed TAT.
If job is received and completed on non working days and during non working hours, it is considered TAT met.
If job is received almost at the end of the day, say, 3.30 PM and job is completed at 8:00 PM same day, then it is considered TAT met, rationale, only half an hour of working hours used to complete the job.
I am trying to get rid of some duff data by running a comparison to a fixed value on a defined range. However, the macro tries to compare the cell value (00:05:00) as a decimal value.
I think I need to use the format function to get round this.
For Each timecheckcell In range("g3:g60") timecheckcell.Value = Format(MyTime, "h:m:s") If timecheckcell.Value <> "00:05:00" Then timecheckcell.Offset(0, 1) = "" Next
Where C4 is 'Qualifying time', C5 is 'Starting fuel', C2 is 'Lap number' and C3 is 'Fuel consumption'. I also plan to make the 0.3 a changeable variable.
I'm not fussed as to whether or not this is a realistic function that would work in a real race, it's only hypothetical. However I would like to have a function that would give me the over all race time at any given lap, not just the lap time for it.
I am having trouble finding the difference between times. I have two cells, A1, A2. Times will be placed in there each day. A1 will have the first time and A2 will have a later time that day. i.e. A1 12:25AM, A2 2:45AM. A3 would have the formula. In this case I am looking for an answer of 2:00 (2hrs).
My second issue will be times when I have A1 11:20pm and A2 1:20am. I can't seem to get it to work.
I have a file that samples performance on a cpu. The output shows the sampling date and time in column A. This column changes depending on how long I run the file. No matter how long the column, I only want to pull out the sample date and time 20 times. So if I had data in column A with 300 rows, I want to divide 300 by 20 and pull those 20 numbers and put them in column B in chronological order. Same thing if I had 4000 rows in column A, I only want 20 samples.
I'm trying to subtract two times to get the difference. Entries are in military format (1615) and VBA converts the time to 16:15. My problem is that when a time is entered between 0001 and 0059 (i.e. 0015), the VBA converts the time to :15. My formula does not recognize this, but does recognize 0:15 (entered without VBA). The cell is custom formatted as h:mm. I've tried several other formats including [h]:mm but can't get any to work. How can I get a formula to recognize it?
I am trying to create a time sheet where there will be a start time - end time - number of hours (difference between the 2) - pay rate - total pay, but am getting strange results!
I need some IF formula I believe that will yield an answer between 1 - 5. I'm not swavey enough with these things to figure this one out... trust me I tried and it keeps getting more confusing for me.
If the time worked is between certain time criteria then it would equal 1 - 5 depending on the time.
Example: If I work between the hours of 5am and 1pm then I would be in the Open/Mid range and would need to equal 2. If I only worked a few hours and my hours fell only between the Mid range then it would equal 3.
Then based on that... It would automatically fill in on the deployment charts... My name would show up on the Open and Mid Deployments under the task chosen for me to do that day.
I've attached a small sample of what I am looking for to kind of help show what I need. The highlighted areas are the areas I'm not sure how to do.
Using the 24hr time format in cell a1 i have a start time of 10:43 and in cell b1 i have an estimated time i think a job should take in this case 30 minutes and in cell c1 i have the actual time that job was finished in this case 11:07 and in cell d1 i have a variance between the two times which in this case would be saving me 6 minutes
Need a ormula that will calculate various lengths of time within a column.
For example: I would like to be able to add 02:43 (2 minutes 43 seconds) plus 01:10 (1 minute 10 seconds) plus 05:15 (5 minutes and 15 seconds) ..and accurately arrive at the sum of 09:08 (9 minutes 8 seconds)
Currently, whenever I input the value of 02:43- and assign the value of 'TIME'.. it reads it as 14:23 (clock time..not length of time.) I will only be using data that follows the format of mm:ss (minutes:seconds).
I need to create a formula to calculate monthly hours worked (144.20) by hourly rate (£14.25). So far everything ive tried has given me awrong answer. I cant seem to make the total right. From what ive come up with (Not good) the total accepts the hours-just not the minutes.
I'm usually able to find my answer but I couldn't find anything to match what I need. Anyway... this is either really simple or impossible to do. I have two cells which have times in each. Say A1 has 5:00 PM and A2 has 10:00 PM. I'm just trying to make it so one cell will say:
From 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM... So I tried this ="From " & A1 & " to " & A2
But as I'm sure you already know that yields this result:
Been working on this issue for the last couple of days with no luck. I have a column of data that is a data and time stamp, for any date or time like below. This is an ever growing list as users continue to populate the data.
On a separate sheet I have a list of times by 15 minute increments starting at midnight until 11:59PM like below.
12:00:00 AM 12:15:00 AM 12:30:00 AM 12:45:00 AM
I'm trying to count how often a time stamp occurred between two 15 minute increments. ventually I'll be plotting this data on a graph to show where most occurrences happen.
I am trying to come up with a formula that calculates total time someone has worked in a day. The scenario is an individual will work at a home and start working with an individual. Their start/end times look like this in a pivot:
Min Start Max Start Min End Max End Location A+Counselor A 8:56 AM4:01 PM 1:11 PM 7:00 PM Location A+Counselor B 12:00 AM 8:00 PM 6:00 AM 11:59 PM Location B:Counselor C 7:00 AM 12:00 PM 2:00 PM 4:00 PM Location C+Counselor D 8:00 AM 8:00 AM 4:00 PM 4:00 PM
Some people work split shifts while others work a straight shift. The formula I created was this:
=IF(OR(B9=C9,E9=D9,D9=C9),E9-B9,IF(D9>C9,((E9-D9)+(C9-B9)),IF(C9>D9,((D9-B9)+E9-C9),"New Formula Needed")))*24
(I use a pivot table to show max min for start and end times)
This works great except for the individuals that have multiple punches during the same time frame. The one scenario I am having trouble solving for is when someone punches in more than once during their shift displaying. This occurs when a counselor starts a shift working with one person but then adds another person mid shift. An example of this could be:
Location A+Counselor E Min Start Max Start Min End Max End Consumer 1 1:00 PM 1:00 PM 8:30 PM 8:30 PM Total Time: 7.5 Consumer 2 12:00 PM 12:00 PM 2:35 PM 2:35 Pm Total Time: 2.6
Pivot says that they worked a total of 10.1 because it is grabbing the max and mins and calculating. The actual total time worked is 8.5 hours in reality.
The raw data comes in like so:
Location Counselor Consumer Start Time End Time A A A 1:00 PM 8:30 PM A A B 12:00 PM 2:35 PM A A C 12:00 PM 5:00 PM
I am attempting to create a formula that will count the number of times, lets say letter A, occurs in column E. However, the tricky part that I have been confused on is that I only want to count how many times A occurs between each hour of the day. I need to count number of times "A" occurs between each hour of the day for the entire month.
My Worksheet looks as such: Column A contains the dates for the month of November, Column B contains times that random instances occur, Column C is not important, Column E contains a Letter A-N that pertains to what occurred at a time in column B. SO, Column B and column E coordinate with each other.
Here is an example. Column A - Cell A1 - 11/01/2013 , A2 - 11/02/2013, A3 - 11/03/2013. Column B - Cell B1 - 12:01 AM , Cell B2 - 14:03 , Cell B3 - 15:23 Column C - Cell E1 - A , Cell E2 - A, Cell E3 - B
So I would like Column F to display that between 12:00 - 12:59 Am there was X number of times the letter A occurred throughout the entire month.
I get a spreadsheet downloaded to excel with a variable of 15 names.
I want to create a formula that if the name Cleardale appears to take the time responding in cell BD and subtract it from the time available in cell AV so that I have the time on task and then to add up all those times in a total time on task for all cleardale listings for that day. The times are listed in the 24 hour format. I keep getting errors. Can anyone help me out on this one? The range of the cells is from AV7 to AV500 for available time and BD7 to BD500 for alert time and the range of the names is cell f7 to f500.
I must produce a report that details elapsed time between two dates and times.
The duration can span a number of days, I need to report just the elapsed working time, I can calculate the days with "NETWORKDAYS" but how can I calculate only the elapsed working time 08:00 to 17:00?
I need to create a spreadsheet that will calculate the difference between two dates and show the result in days. The complicated part is that weekends (Sat and Sun) need to be ignored and any time after 4:30 pm needs to be treated as the next business day. I have been trying to look at similar questions in forum and use the WORKDAYS function with little success.
Example:
A1- 14/08/09 4:40 p.m. B1- 17/08/09 9:10 a.m.
I need the answer (B1-A1) to show up as 0. But if the time in A1 was changed to 4:20 p.m. than the answer should be 1 day.
I have created a userdefined function. the Idea is for the user to calculate the difference in hours and minutes. The input would be like budtime = 30 , realtime = 1.25 the answer I would like to have is 28:45 (28hours and 45 mins). Im aware that I can format the cell manually with [h]:mm but I'd like the function to do it. I have written this:
Function RT(BudTime, RealTime) RT = Format(((CDec(BudTime) - CDec(RealTime) / 24)), "[h]:mm") End Function
