Simulate A Mouse Click
Jul 29, 2006I have a log that stores a list of different files in the first column. All of these files are worksheet hyperlinks (ie: =HYPERLINK("\USSS000010_PUBLIC5_COMMON15_PPA20066-032G6-032G.xls","06-032G")). If I click on any of these cells the file will open.
I am trying to open certain files from the list using VBA.
My question is Is there any way to simulate a mouse click, on the cell containing the hyperlink, using VBA?

I start in the code making sure column Action Plan completion has a value in it. Copying in the issue modified column if neccesary.

The info I copied above is placed into the column K.
When I run the macro, the cell formula outputs "#value".
However, if I go double-click then enter the cell calculates just fine.
I've tried excels overall recalculate function, but that doesn't change this.
Does anybody know how to simulate a double-click on a cell?
Simulate Pressing Ctrl+Alt+Delete And Then Clicking Lock Computer
Jul 25, 2007Is it possible to lock the computer using VBA. i.e Simulate pressing Ctrl+Alt+Delete and then clicking Lock Computer so once this has been clicked the user will have to enter the password to unlock. I thought that using the SendKeys would be a start but this does nothing.

Apr 2, 2008Column A has a time (no date)
Column B VLooks-up a value from a separate sheet per country, so it pulls through a the variance [-11 to +13] from UTC (GMT) time dependent on country.
All other data is irrelevant.
Let's say Column C has following formula: A2+B2/24.
This works where the time result (new time) is on the same day, but as soon as it crosses over midnight, it buggers up.
What I'm needing to do is take a list of events (server time/GMT) and convert them to the local time from where the event was triggered based on source country.

Apr 16, 2014I am trying to get my variance percentage to calculate correctly but I am struggling when it comes to one of the value being zero. It works fine for the below example when both the variance and last year figures a zero.

Calculating Time Variance
Jan 26, 2009I'm trying to calculate the variance between planned date & time of arrival vs actual date & time of arrival.
I attach the workbook as am a bit useless at explaining myself....
What I've done is in H14 subtract the actual date of arrival (F14) from planned date of arrival (C14). This result is the only way I could think of dealing with crossing over midnight. As a result I14 should subtract the actual time of arrival (E14) from planned time of arrival (B14):
=SUM(E14-B14,H14)
This method works well when the arrival was later than expected but doesn't work if the arrival was sooner than expected.
Formula For Budget Variance
May 18, 2009finding a way to compare the two budgets i.e 08/09 and 09/10 and if a new cost centre appears in 09/10 it will bring a yes in column G(New cc) and if the Cost Centre already exist in 08/09 it will bring a blank--but in both cases i want a variance in the next column H i.e 09/10 less 08/09.

Nov 25, 2013I am looking to calculate variance across a large data set and would like to know if a macro is possible to calculate for a specific unique cell ID. East, Central, or West and calculate variance across that region.
For instance, in my data set if I have something similar to below. How would I calculate variance in the different regions? Is it possible to automate this process? Also could the Analysis ToolPAk be used instead or in conjunction?

but it doesn't work... I suspect that I'm using wrong formula, it should be not SUMPRODUCT...
when I tried to use just SUM, it adds all the quantities in the colomn.

Fornula For Displaying Positive Or Negative Variance

If the value of cell (L17) is greater than 10% positive variance, then 'YES' else 'NO'.
Currently the value of L17 is 14%, therefore should be a 'YES', however how can I get the following to work:

Excel 2010 :: Macro To Change Excel Formatted Table Name Dependent On Number Of Loops
Jul 9, 2012Recorded macro. The hope is to insert a excel formatted table a set number of times. I have found a loop code that references a Cell A1 and repeats that amount of times. So if A1= 10. There should be 10 tables inserted. However on the second time there is a fault with the table name. I need the name to change each time the loop is run. ie Table1, Table2, Table3 etc up until the loop stops (A1 contents).
I am using excel for windows 2010. The macro that i have so far is below.

I tried locking an excel document and i ticked a box that said protect structure, and then entered my password and now I cannot open the document. It is a white square on my desktop now with no options to do anything, it cannot even be attached to an email or deleted. This was on excel 2008 on a macbook.

Excel 2003 :: Copy Hyperlink From Excel To Outlook?
Apr 19, 2010I have an Excel 2003 file that contains hyperlinks to OneNote notebooks on a Sharepoint site. An Excel macro looks for these links and determines the full hyperlink address which is then assigned to a variable. An Outlook message is generated which includes the hyperlinks.
The hyperlinks work in the Excel file. I can also copy them from OneNote and manually paste them into an Outlook message and they work. However, when I obtain their full address and transfer that to the email through code, the links do not work. The hyperlink address from OneNote starts with "onenote:http" which is not recognized as a link.
If I can do this manually, there must be a way to do this with vba. Are there characters I need to include in the OneNote hyperlink address to make this work? Is there another way to transfer the working link from Excel to Outlook?
