I need to determine the MAX date in a column based on specific criteria. Column A6:A500 = Task Names, Column N6:N500 = Dates (there are some blanks).
What I need is to determine the latest date in column N6:N500 based on which task I choose from column A6:A500.
I manage a list of web-based classes offered by my company - each class name, date, time, and attendance is recorded in the list. Periodically, we send out marketing emails for these classes to promote attendance, which is also recorded in the list.
Issue: I have a summary list of the class names (where each class is only listed once) and I'm trying to come up with a formula that will pull the class date for the last time that course was marketed.
I have attached an example of what I am trying to do - using colors instead of class names. The last date marketed for each color is already hard-keyed into the summary to show what should be there.

If the item is marked as closed (vs. active), then how many renewals/terminations replacements/etc are there? These are two difference columns in a worksheet.

automate a data table I set up in excel. I need the formula to look through a bunch of raw data I have, and add quantities in each row, but only from the rows that have the same machine numbers. I have a huge list of survey responses which asks people to identify their location and then rate how important 6 facilities in their area is (rating 1 - 4, 4 being most important). So the table has cells are similar to this, except that there are about 5000 responses with about 2500 different locations identified

I have been able to analyse the average results for the whole dataset by using the following formulas:
=COUNTIF(A2:C4,"camden") Count number of occurrences a location is listed
=ROUND(AVERAGE(D2:D4),2) Average response for medical centres
=COUNTIF(D2:D4,1) Counts number of times '1' comes up, would repeat '2', '3', and '4' to create a pie graph
But what I would really like to do it be able to count each response for each question by location (for example "Camden"). I've tried both of these but they don't seem to be working.

I'm racking my brains as to how I can structure a formula to conditionally rank a value in an array against only those values in the array whose corresponding criteria cell includes a specific letter.
So for example I have a list of 12 values, say 126; 239; 0; 171; 162; 157; 130; 199; 122; 153; 0; 15.
Each of those values corresponds to a heading, say: CDE; DFE; FGE; DFE; ERD; DEA; BDF; DFB; CDE; CEF; CAB; FAB. As you will note some of the headings may or may not be the same and may or may not include the same letters in different orders.
How can I write a formula that ranks in ascending order a given value drawn from the above list (which will be in another cell but which in this case is, let's say, the first value: 126) only against those values whose heading includes a specific character, for example the character C (the character in question will vary and be defined in a specific cell).
As an added complication I need the ranking calculation to exclude any zero values. So in the above example what the formula needs to do is rank the value 126 against a sub-set of the whole array comprising only the values 126; 122; 153; 0.
The answer I need is 2 because, discounting the zero value, 126 is the second highest value.

I am trying to write an workbook open procedure to check the day of the month and match it to the relevant worksheet so it will open to that day. for example if opened today being the 25th, i want the code to unhide sheet named 25th and select it, whilst all other sheets bar one is hidden.

View 7 Replies View Relatedi'm trying to write a summary page for the data collect on the first sheet and would like to find a way of counting the number of records within certain date criteria (those that are more than 30 days old). now the crucial part is that the records have a second set of critical data, their Status, and i need to find only the records that have a particular status (in this example that is Pending and Open).
if you look at the second sheet you'll see that i can find records that are associated with a specific date, but not with a range of dates; which is particularly annoying because DCOUNT can find ranges of information when using other types of number.

I am trying to get a function to return a date based on the string in the preceding cell. If the cell, say A1, has the string "Before 12:30", i want the cell B1 to put the date 5 days from now in the cell. If there is any other string entered then 6 days from now. I also need it to include the networkdays function.
Here's what i've got, messy i know but functions aren't my strong point. Also would i save file size if i did this in VBA? ....
I'm documenting the steps of a process with each step accounting for a specific amount of business days. How do I determine the specific business day based on the number of days it takes to complete a process? For example: Start date then 45 business days from that date the next step begins...then 3 business days from that date the following step begins and so on.

I have tried several functions but this is what I have: =(ROWS('TouchBack Detail'!$Q:$Q)*COLUMNS('TouchBack Detail'!$Q:$Q))+(COUNTIFS('TouchBack Detail'!$B:$B,'Nov TouchBack Summary'!B$1)). The result should be 3 but it’s including all other cells in the column that are not and should not be included in the refreshed table’s data (Table_TouchBack.accdb). I would like to ask how can I get to work the index match function (if there's any formula other than this current function its fine) if i have a start date and end date as range date then another criteria for name to get my desired result. im having a hard time to explain so i attached a workbook so you can around it.
