I have a macro that will go through a set of numbers and check them against a condition. if the cell complies with the condition i want to copy the entire row to a new sheet. sofar I have tried the following to select the current row but to no avail.
View 4 RepliesI am looking to run two separate macros. I have a project plan and I am looking to be able to select a button whereby on-click, a new row is created within a selected cell. However if the cell clicked is outside of a pre-determined range, then the task is automatically entered at the bottom of the plan. I would like for the copied row to go ABOVE the selected cell and have all of the same formatting as the row below (not the top - as is default in Excel).
The second is going to be very similar but will copy a task category (like a header item) and the first task (row) found below. It will also be copied from below and be inserted above the selected cell.Both macros will clear certain cells, whilst maintaining the contents of others, with formula contained. I.E. Columns C,D,E,H,I,J will be cleared.
I use few cells with formula and I would need when I click on the cell to run a macro that would copy the selected cell and do a paste value.

I need the last row in the range to remain therefore I prevented the user from deleting the row one up from the row that contains "Total Hours" (which is always in Column B). The code works great as long at the user clicks into a cell in column B. If the user clicks into a cell in column A, C, D, E, F, G, H, or I then the code allows the user to delete the last row.
I believe I need to search entire rows to determine if the row contains "Total Hours" .

I have written Macro to copy every row in "sheet1" 24 times into new sheet called "NewSheet". but it keep giving me error message. Actually, I don't know why. Can any one please help.

I've created an Excel 2007 workbook with about a dozen worksheets that are full of formulas and links to other workbooks, as well as conditional formatting that isn't backwardly compatible with Excel 2003. However, many people who want to see this workbook are still on Excel 2003. I need to recreate an Excel 2003 compatible workbook with the appearance and formatting of the original and have all the formulas and links converted to values. So, the final product will "look" just like the original without the conditional formatting, links or formulas. It will just have the look, colors and values displayed for all cells.
Essentially, I want a macro that will copy however many worksheets (1-n) are in an Excel 2007 workbook to a new Excel 2003 workbook. I'd like the worksheets to retain their label names as well.
The problem is when I highlight a row with some color the original color of the row is gone, so I tried this code, and again, it's removing the original format and color for the row This is the code from McGimpsey & Associates : Excel : Highlight row with background colors

I have an Excel database of department contracts with a Master worksheet. I have created a worksheet tab for each of the departments. Column G has a dropdown list for each department. When I enter a new contract onto the Master I want it to auto copy to the coordinating worksheet based on the selected department.
If possible I would also like it to enter the newest contract would enter into the coordinating Contract Party entered into column D. (ie... If Hospital A is entered in column D on master, the new entry on the worksheet being copied to will be entered under the last Hospital A, if Hospital B is entered on Master it copies under Hospital B). If this isn't possible then I am not too worried about that part.

I have a report that I use everyweek and split up into various sheets according to the criteria.
So if any cell in column C contains "Apple", then I want it copied into a new s/s (with the headers). I basically have to do a number of iterations on this, can someone assist please? The main problem I invisage is asking Excel to copy the row into the new sheet underneath the last one.
If you look at the attached spreadsheet you will see 6 tabs. Main, New Cust, Quote, etc.
"Main" will be the sheet that everything is inputted. If there is a "Y" under new customer, I want the entire row to copy to the tab "New Cust". If there is an "X" under quote, struct design, or graphic design I want it under its approp. tab. The Lisa tab should take certain Sales-Person and copy entire row on the Lisa tab. I need to 1st filter the data by Column E where the data in Column E should not contain a particular Value, like"Sleeve".
Then it needs to copy the Columns A,D,G, BN, BO, BP,BP,BR & BS.
And it needs to delete Rows 3 & 4 from the current sheet, before pasting it in a new sheet.
And at the bottom of the sheet it needs to give me a count of the rows and the month end date for each month.

I have a folder "D:Documents and SettingsRakesh", which has many .xls files. Each file has a sheet called 'Cover Note'. I want to copy cells B2, C2, D4 and F3 from 'Cover Note' of each file.

In the end what I would like to do is everytime there is a change in column N, the macro copies the information from that row into the other tab. I would like the information to overwrite anything that is alraedy in that tab as well. So if someone accidentally putc in a C instead of a K, it will not keep that information in the wrong tab.

I need to know how to search a range of cells (in this case column E) and if the day of the week is Wednesday to copy that entire row to the Worksheet titled Wednesday.
