Named Constant To Return Sheet Name

Most of the methods used for returning the sheet name are quite cumbersome. "=MID(CELL("filename",A1), FIND("]",CELL("filename",A1))+1,256)" takes up a lot of space in a larger formula.
Is it possible, please, to create a Name which returns the sheet name? For example I could write "=ThisSheet" and it would return the name of the sheet.
Of course I could resort to a UDF, but I wondered if it could be done directly in Excel.
When I try to insert the formula "=MID(CELL("filename",A1),FIND("]",CELL("filename",A1))+1,256)" into a Name, Excel helpfully converts A1 to "'Sheet1'!A1". So "=ThisSheet" in Sheet2 returns "Sheet1".
If I make the sheet name part of the Name, as in "'Sheet1'!ThisSheet, it works OK, but has to be added for each new sheet (though it works if an old sheet is copied).

Is it possible to make an named array constant from named constants to use in a lookup?
Eg
I have defined the following constants in Names:
Text1 = "AAAAAAAAAA"
Text2 = "BBBBBBBBBBB"
Num1 = "1234567890"
Num2 = "0987654321"
And would like to make the following array constant in Names:
Arr = {Text1,Num1;Text2,Num2}
However, it does not work.
I am using Excel 2007 by the way and the above values are made up.

I try to understand what the syntax is to create and use an array named constant which would be composed of other constant.
Example :
Constant called AvgZone1 which is =AVERAGE(zone1)
Constant called AvgZone2 which is =AVERAGE(zone2)
and then create a named array constant based on the names : =AvgZone1,AvgZone2
is not working. You cannot for example do a SUM().

I have a userForm (Form1) that contains a persons name that I would like to reference in a separate UserForm (Form2). In the separate UserForm (Form2) I need to reference this persons name many times, so I was wondering if there was a was to declare this name in the separate UserForm (Form2) as a constant. Only thing is that a constant, to the best of my knowledge, must be an expression and not a variable. Mainly, I'm trying to avoid declaring the myName variable in each Sub within Form2, which it will be needed for a ton of Sub's.
Code for Form2: Const myName As String = Form1.txtName.Value

Ok, I have a spreadsheet that I use to track the majority of my work throughout the day. I have about 10 columns that I use for my own information, and about 4 of them that my colleagues need updates on. I have one sheet "worktracking" and another sheet "printable." Printable has just the 4 columns of info that my colleagues might need, formatted in a way that prints out nicely. Each column in "printable" references a column in "work tracking" like this
='worktracking'!c2
Now the problem that I'm running into is that I routinely delete rows from the "worktracking" sheet, which results in a reference error on the "printable" sheet. I am wondering if there is a way to rework it, such that when I delete a row from "worktracking," then "printable" just does the same, and only retains rows that have data in them...

I am creating a data tracking workbook. Information is entered into cells on
different sheets, then the tallies are pulled to one easier to read sheet.
In creating the tally sheet, I am setting the cell formulas. The cells
referred to are constant, only the sheet referred to changes. For example,
the cell might read
='FP 1'!$I$25
and the next one should read
='FP 2'!$I$25
....and so on. I would like to be able to paste the formula and have the
referred to sheet change so that I do not have to go through and make
hundreds of little changes.

I want it to return the subfolders from a named folder, but only the folder name, right now it returns the whole path. So my code has to then text to column that path, then delete the columns I don't need. Is there a way to shorten this? Here is my code so far:

how to get the value of a cell by its name. For example, i give cell B2 Name "Hello" and value "2". how to use vba to get the value of 2 using its name 'Hello', but not the cell 'B2'. Somethings people delete and add rows or columns and using range may lost the right value.

I have a named range which refers to: =MATCH(LARGE($G$5:$G$68,ROW(G5)-4),G$5:G$68,0)+4. It is supposed to find the largest figure in the adjacent column, list its row in cell H5, then the second largest for cell H6 and so on until the end of the data. The data in column G is dynamic and some cells will contain "0" with certain sections of data thus why I need a formula and cannot just use sort each time.
My problem is that when I use the formula as a named range I get "#N/A" and when I evaluate the formula I will get the answer but in array brackets (e.g.{17}) before the final step turns it to "#N/A". The formula will work fine if inputted directly into the cell but as the same formula will be used over three columns and numerous rows I would much prefer to use a named range.

I have four named ranges (Segment, Keyword, Impressions and Dropdown) and I would like to create a formula-based ranking of keywords by impressions and clicks. Using the following array formula, I am able to return the correct values for impressions or clicks:
{=LARGE(IF(Segment=DropDown,Impressions),$H7)} where $H7 is the number ranking 1, 2, 3 etc.
My question is what array formula could be used to find which row in the array returned that number and then pulls the data from the same row in the other named ranges?
Essentially find row of {=LARGE(IF(Segment=DropDown,Impressions),$H7)} but return Keyword and Clicks on that row.
Other Notes: I cannot use pivot tables and some values might be the same which would make Vlookups not accurate for duplicate values.

How do i change the below code to not reference a named sheet but the active sheet.

I am trying to create a data entry sheet to enter quotes on. When a quote is received, I click on my "Add quote" button and a userform appears. Data is entered into the userform (frmEntryForm) and returned back to the next available row.
I also need to be able to:
Edit a row by double-clicking it. When a row is double-clicked, data from that row is passed back to the userform, edited and returned back to the same row (to prevent duplicates).Validate that all fields are complete within the userform where relevant (i.e. if the work is not complete or in progress then the "Invoice Number" and "Actual Cost" fields are disabled and blanked to prevent entry (I think this is almost sorted judging by my tests)

I am trying to use a named range on a different sheet in the same workbook to which the named range is on.
I have a named range on sheet2 called "Letters" and comprises of cells D20-D25 .
I am trying to call this range on Sheet1 at A1-A6 , so in A1 to A6 I simply have "=Letters" (No quote marks) , but I simply get "#VALUE!" (No Quote Marks), If I then extend the selected cell down to A25 the "Letters" will appear in A20-A25
whereas if I put the same "=Letters" in Sheet1 cell A20-A25 I will get the correct named range.
How can I get the range to show in Sheet 1 Cell A1-A6.
I want to reproduce a named range at a different location on a different sheet in the same workbook.

I have a namd sheet for everyday of the year in a workbook, so jan1 jan2 jan3 etc. I have a stats page which brings together certain pertinent data from those pages, so a formula on the stats page might look like this =sum('jan1'!$m$25:$m$900). What I would like to do is to name each day - jan1 jan2 etc as a named range perhaps date1 date2 etc so that the above formula would then look like =sum(date1!$m$25:$m$900).

My vb code currently creates a new sheet via "Sheets.add". This new sheet has the default name of "sheet1" which I rename as "tempSheet". I then populate tempSheet with data, save as a CVS file and then I remove tempSheet.
If I stay in my workbook and try to execute the code again, the default name of the sheet it now creates is "sheet2" and not "sheet1" - this is a problem becuase my code is trying to rename "sheet1" "tempSheet" and of course it cant.

I need a button to delete a sheet and the sheet to be deleted needs to come from a cell. For example: Active sheet is sheet 1. User selects the name "sheet 5" within cell B10 via data validation from cells E1:E9. Then the user clicks the button and that sheet is deleted. The data validation is a list of every sheet name except sheet 1. If possible, there is a sheet labeled "0" and I cant have that sheet deleted or it will screw up all my formulas if that's too difficult I can work with the data validation to keep a zero from showing up.

I have 2 workbooks in Excel 2010, each contain just 1 sheet. (see attached) I need to compare on sheet 1, cell D1 and column A:A (this column will be much longer), with the data in columns C:C & A:A on sheet 2, if a corresponding match is found, the data contained in column D on the same row on sheet 2 is written to the cell with the matching data in sheet 1.
My attempt is in cell D2 on sheet1.

I have a named range on one sheet, and I want to show this as a reference on other sheets. I thought this would be simple, but maybe it's just not the way named ranges are used.
Attached is a sample spreadsheet. First tab shows the table defined; in practice it would be much larger. Second tab shows how I want it to appear. I see that I can do this by copying each cell reference. But what would be nice is to simply say "Put the named range block of cells right here."

I have an excel sheet in which I want to be able to select Zone codes from a drop down, click on a link "search" which takes me to a place in the document that has been named according to the Zone code i pick in the drop-down. I want to achieve this using only formulas as i'm distributing the file to a wide audience who are not versed enough with computers to know how to enable macros.

I want a Macro to take a sheet (same named sheet) from several workbooks in one folder into a new workbook and paste each in one sheet in this new workbook. i want to rename the sheets in the new workbook based on the value in cell D2 ( i can manage that
How can i manage that by simple opening the folder or do i need to open all those workbook manually for that to be done.

is there a way to have the same named range cover a range of cells regardless of which sheet you are on? They seem to want to default to the page you are on. I want to make some VBA subroutines that will go over each sheet, and perform the same functions on each sheet. All sheets have the same format, but different data. I guess worst case scenario I can just break down and use multiple workbooks, but this seems a little less desirable. Should I be dividing this into seperate posts?
