Sum/Total Values In Array Macro Code

I have created an array in Excel VBA 2003 and successfully loaded it with values. The array variable is called "Week". I am currently getting the sum of the numbers in the array by creating a dim variable that adds them statically one at a time:



Dim finalvalue As Integer
finalvalue = week(1) + week(2) + week(3)

That works, except as time goes on there are more weeks and I need to dynamically add all the values together in one fell swoop.

Array Formula To Lookup Two Values And Produce A Total Score

I have a table of data where each row is a person, and each column is a group that person might belong to. In the intersecting cell of a person row and group column is text showing what position they hold in that group (eg Director, Head, member etc). In many cases the cell is empty because the person is not involved with the group.

There are then two lookup tables which have scores; one for the group name and one for the position type. The group name is always the column header. I have used these lookup tables as I would like the scores for each group or position to be easily adjustable.

Probably best that I just attach an example. I tried to solve this using SUMPRODUCT. VLOOKUP on the two lookup tables would have been good but it seems it doesn't work with arrays the way I expected. My attempt (which doesn't work obviously!) is given.

How do I subtotal Col A,B according to Col A?
Total 3 B entries with a subtotal of 11
Total 2 E entries with a subtotal of 10
Total 1 D entry with a subtotal of 2

Populate Array For Later Use In Macro Code

i've come across something that i'd like to do with regards to populating an array/variant not using a global variable.

i currenty have this for testing purposes which works, but perhaps not the best solution?

Sort Array In Macro Code

I have been trying to take a variant array that has 6 columns, output it to a new worksheet (although I would prefer to just sort the array but can't get that working - how I can do this please feel free), sort the worksheet by 2 different columns, and then move these values back into the original array. I think I have the dumping and sorting down but I can't figure out the putting back into the array part. Here is the code I have thus far. varRecords is the array I am dumping to the new worksheet.

Maximum Date In Array Macro Code

I'm writing a macro that will pull a set of dates from a worksheet and put them into an array. Then I want to find the max date in the array (most likely using some sort of sorting method).

The code below is how I'm putting the dates into an array. I'm not sure if using the date data type is best. I can't tell how it will sort the information. Is there an easy way to find the maximum of an array of dates?

This may not be the best way to do this, but I don't know Macros or Pivot Tables.

I am looking for a way with formulas to do the following:
Within a workbook the 1st sheet is the data entry.
In another sheet that will total data from the data sheet is where I want to be able to total columns of data, depending on what is entered in one specific column:

Example:
Data Sheet, E2:E2999 is a unit number selcted by pull down tab entry.
G2:G2999 in the same sheet is where the data is.

Q: What formula would allow to total the data on the Total Sheet depending on what unit number is selected in column E on the Data Sheet and the data amount in column D from Data Sheet?

The above code does not work of course and falls over. I am unsure whether I should try and concatenate with something like this eg "" & arrName(i) = Cells (r,c) or go down a different route.

I am trying to sum up the total number of hours consumed on a particular activity within a specified period.

=SUMPRODUCT(($C38:$C176>=$B7)*($C38:$C176<=$C7)*($B38:$B176=$D5))

Unfortunately, the formula above gives me the total number of activity and NOT the total number of hours within a specified period. I attached the file I'm working on as reference.

Code To Calculate Total Time

I have a form which captures below details.

Label 1 = Time when form initialized or opened
Label 2 = Running Time (Live Time)
Label 3 = Total Time (Label 2 - Label 1)

Now what I need is since Label 2 is live time which shows the running time, Label 3 displays the total time spent. I want to display total time as running time.

e.g.
Label 1 = 13:01:00
Label 2 = 13:05:10 (running time/live time) which will keep ticking
Label 3 = 00:04:10 (I want even this as running time which keep running when label 2 is running)

I have a sheet with several thousand rows. I want code that will do this:

- After finding a "D:" in column A (contained in the cell but will be at a different place each row), start a running total of values in column B.
- When finding "F0" in column A...
--if the running total of values for rows that have "D:" equals the value in column B with the "F0", delete the "D:" rows
--if the running total doesn't match, reset the running total and search for the next "D:"
- Repeat for all rows.

I have a report that I want the total amount (in the bottom right corner, but can vary in row number) to appear in a particular cell in the header. In the macro, I selected the cell & entered "=CTRL+End". It works in reality, but not in a macro. It returns a visual of 0.00, but "=XFB1048565" in the formular bar. How can I get the header cell to return the correct total amount?

The spreadsheet I am working in has $ which I need to total. The information, or rows, can vary from day to day so there is no static place to have a cell with an @sum. Management wants me to add a pretty line that says

'Total' in one cell and the $ next to it. I have about 30 sheets with columns to total. Yuck, takes forever.

How do all of you total if you don't know the last row? At the top?

I thought it might work to put an @Sum in the last row of the spreadsheet, in the column

I need to total, and having a VB code to delete empty rows. That would be automatic.

Excel 2013 :: Formula For Getting Job Code To Appear In Column A Of Total Rows

I've got general ledger information that I export out of my accounting software (see attached spreadsheet). From there, in another spreadsheet I do vlookup formulas to get information from this general ledger. However, in order for the vlookup formulas to work properly in the other spreadsheets, I have to go through this general ledger spreadsheet and manually enter just the first five numerical digits in column A for each Total row. I would like to be able to find a solution that would return just the first five characters of the category (column B found at the top of each section) into the cell in column A on each total row. I usually have to manually enter 50-100 of these many, many times a month so it gets time consuming after a while. I'm using Excel 2013.

Calculating A Total Of Different Cells With Less Or More Values

I'm trying to calculate total occurrences of a given month. I have included the spreadsheet for reference with totals.

I only want to calculate when the Policy column has a "N". If it has a "Y" I do not need to do anything

If the Policy has a "N" I want the formula to look at the V and P columns and give me a total in the Total Occurrence column. I want it to look at the entire month for a grand total.

If the V or P column has a 4 or less it should equal 0.5, if it has a value is between 4 and 10 it would equal 1. So in the Total Occurrence column should calculate the all of the 0.5 and 1's based on each set of columns and give a total. In the example that I have given in the spreadsheet the total in the Total Occurrence column would be 2 because Jan. 1 has a N and a 8 which equals 1 and Jan. 3 has a N and a 4 which equals 0.5 and Jan. 5 has a N and a 4 which equals 0.5 for a total of 2 occurrences.

I have monthly a list of 2,500 people with an allowance value for each individual shown.

Problem I got is that sometimes there is more than one allowance entry for the individual in each month. I just need the total for the individual in that month. Each month is on a separate worksheet. Allocate Values From A List Based On Total

I am trying to create a Excel file for my job. I work in a warehouse where I have many different orders all of which are made up of various different numbers of items and priorities. For example:

Order 1 = 45 items, Priority 1
Order 2 = 78 items, Priority 1
Order 3 = 48 items, Priority 2
Order 4 = 34 items, Priority 3

The total number of items is divided by the number of staff to give each staff member a total for the evening.

I plan to have a list of these orders in the excel file.

What I would then like to do is to have each staff member allocated orders so that the their total is reached. The sheet would automatically allocate orders to each person from the list of orders so that based on priority first then by the largest number of items to the smallest.

I think this should be a fairly simple sheet to create and I have a view of creating an application for it if I can get it working.

Calculate Total Number Of Values For Each Day Of Week?

My spreadsheet is set up so that Column A has dates and Column B has a value. How can I calculate the total number of values for each day of the week? I've tried a few formulas but they either didn't work or didn't actually take the value into consideration and just counted all the 'Mondays'. I'm not sure if that's clear enough, but if we're just looking at Mondays to simplify it:

Monday, 1 January 2000: 2
Monday, 8 January 2000: 5
Monday, 15 January 2000: 0

Mondays: 7
