but if i do like this:

but, as i said, some rows are hidden and i want copy them too.
Unfortunately Excel copy only visible...

Aug 5, 2014I have searched all over and read many solutions for selecting only visible cells and copy pasting them or formatting them by doing Ctrl + G and selecting visible cells only. However the problem is once I select visible cells only, it seems that every time I do Ctrl + C on filtered Range it only selects visible cells. I want a way to toggle this setting in Excel. I'm using Office 2007. For example: if I want to select the entire range, both hidden and visible cells within the selected table array, is there anyway to reverse or toggle the setting that causes Excel to refresh the "visible cells only" setting back to default or all cells?
It would be a much faster way than to remove all filters, select & copy entire range, and then re-apply all filters again.
Excel Workbook - Finding Hidden Link
Jan 9, 2014I have an excel workbook that a colleague of mine is working with. each time she opens it, she gets a message telling her that a .xls file could not be found, and a web-address specifying the file path. We went through the workbook together and looked at all of the formulas and i cannot find anywhere that this address is referenced. I also looked for any code, but there was nothing showing on any of the worksheets in the entire workbook. I broke all the links to other workbooks, used find and replace to search for the path, and to search for all the formulas. I also copied the tabs to a new workbook, but to no avail.

Nov 20, 2012The other day I inserted a row in a shared workbook and then saved it. On my screen, the inserted row was visible and was the correct row height of 12.75. My goal was to insert the row so another user sitting next to me could enter information in the new row.
After I saved the workbook, and after the user sitting next to me saved her workbook, the row I inserted should have appeared exactly the same on her screen, but it did not. Instead, the inserted row showed up as a hidden row on her screen. It was there, but the row height was collapsed to the point of invisibility.
I repeated my attempt to insert a row which the other user could edit several times, but each time I got the same result. I could not make the row show up on her screen with a row height of 12.75.

Unable To Use Arrow Keys To Select Hidden Cells On A Protected Workbook
May 13, 2009I have a problem with a spreadsheet I am working on, and I'm not sure if its something I've done, or whether its corrupted.
Basically, Column A is Hidden and not Locked in the protection tab of formatting. The other columns are Locked and not Hidden.
I used to be able to use the arrow keys to scroll through Column A, but this now doesn't seem to work. I can select the cells within column A with the mouse and I can scroll with the mouse and the scroll bars, but I can't move between the cells with the arrow keys, enter button or tab button.
Does anyone know what might be causing this, or is the workbook corrupt?

Format All Cells In All Sheets To Protection Hidden On Visible And Hidden Tabs
Feb 28, 2014I am trying to format all cells on all sheets (hidden or otherwise) as "Locked" so when the sheets are protected the user can't see the formulas. This macro individually selects every sheet in the book and applys the formatting. Is there a way to modify this code to accomplish the same thing without having it actually select every sheet? The only reason it is an issue is that after running the macro you end up on the last sheet in the book.

So I want if any sheet have no data with range is greater then 0(Zero) then skip the copy paste code or use like SpecialCells(xlCellTypeVisible) .

I need to enter data every month for the following month (i.e. month end close, for previous month). For this example, let's say I just entered (in May) data for April. Current year is 2014. The attached above is what I have currently, and what I want to achieve. All of the cells have formulas, but I basically don't want data and variances shown for time periods not yet uploaded, so in my example, I should only see filled-in cells for January-April, and not May-December (keep in mind that 2013 data should remain, as these are time periods in the past). I've thought about many scenarios including: modifying the formula but not changing what it is currently doing (essentially gathering and adding data from a different worksheet), conditional formatting to "white out" all cells for months where 2014 data is not available using NOW or similar function. how to do it most efficiently without disrupting what's currently in place. Feb 28, 2013I want to write a macro that will copy data from all worksheets of a specified workbook and copy them into a new workbook.
To give some detail, I receive a report each morning containing failed deliveries. I also export a list of failed deliveries from a system (SAP). These reports rarely match so I must compare the two daily. I do this using INDEX and MATCH functions but now my boss wants all the data in a single report so I would like to harness the might of vba to consolodate all the data in one workbook.
The lists of failed deliveries are contained in worksheets marked mon, tue, wed... so I need to search all worksheets for all delivery numbers and copy all of the data into a new book. This becomes complicated because on Monday there is only one tab marked mon, on tuesday there are two (mon & tue), one wednesday there are three and so on.
I have started on some code but I am getting nowhere fast. I have managed to muster an input box which asks for a date (this will be used to search the file path for a file named "failed deliveries & "mm/mm/yyy")

Jun 29, 2009I'm trying to get my code to work by trying to copy from a visible tab into a hidden tab. Currently I have it able to function when the tabs are hidden, and i've been trying to get it to work.
My code is below. I have a variable section because there are different sheets that will be hidden, and this is a way that i found works to get the variable tabs selected.

The macro starts on open, opens the workbook with the data to copy, copies and pastes the data into the original workbook. The problem is that "Hidden Sheet" is hidden, so the macro can't see it!

I want to run a macro that will open (if not already open) Worksheet yyy in workbook YYY (in C:/Test/ directory)
And copy values from columns B and C of workbook XXX worksheet xxx (the row determined by the cell selected in the F column) to columns D and G respectivley of workbook YYY worksheet yyy
I'm hoping the data will be pasted to a new row at the bottom of all existing rows on worksheet yyy (xlup?)
If multiple cells in column F worksheet xxx are selected, it would be nice if the data was sent over to yyy in the same fashion, ordered top to bottom all at once...I don't want to have to select each row individually and run the macro

Aug 9, 2008My code in the first workbook generates a new workbook with a variable in the filename, then copies the cells from the first workbook to the newly created workbook. This code is working properly when used in a draft worksheet I use for testing. As soon as I put it in the master file, an error message pops up "Runtime error 1004 : select method of range class failed". Then the debug sends me to the line " Cells.Select ". What should I be looking for, why does my code work on one file but when i put it in another one it doesn't ?

Dec 14, 2011I am having a problem with hidden columns when creating a new sheet via VBA.
The source sheet has (4) columns that are hidden when this data is pasted to the destination sheet it ignores the four columns.
I need the destination sheet to be identical to the source sheet with the hidden columns.
As you can see in the code I have been able to hide the columns however the data is now in the wrong columns because the copied data excluded these columns. I tried hiding the columns before and after the paste with no success I'm thinking the issue lies in the actual copy portion of this task.

Paste While Skipping Hidden Columns
Aug 17, 2007Sheet1 has info in column a, b, c, d, e.
I want to paste these value into sheet2 but sheet2 has columns b, d hidden.
The paste end up putting the values in the hidden columns.
Is there a way of pasting a speacial so that the hidden columns are missed and i get the paste to go into colums a, c, e, f, g WITHOUT code?
Excel 2013 :: File Size Grows When Using Macro To Copy / Paste To New Workbook
May 9, 2014I'm using Excel 2013 on Windows 7.
I have an Excel file which has a macro that sucks in data from a number of separate files (two Excel, a varying number of csv). The macro grabs all the individual files and loads them into one of three worksheets with some formatting, sorting, and structuring on the way. All good so far.
I then need to take two of the worksheets and copy them to a new Workbook which I can send out to some users. So I use the Workbooks.Add method, and use the Selection.Copy on just the data (UsedRange.Rows/Columns.Count to ensure it is only the data) and Selection.PasteSpecial with the xlPasteColumnWidths, xlPasteValues, and xlPasteFormats options to copy the data over. None of the data is filtered. Just straight data.
I would expect the newly added workbook to be smaller than the one with the macros because the one with the macros has two extra sheets that I don't transfer, and the sheets I do transfer are identical.
And that's where it gets weird. The file with the macros and more data is 18.7Mb, but the new one with only two sheets is 24.8Mb. One is .xlsm and the other is .xlsx (because it has no macros).
I've tried opening the new workbook and saving as .xlsm (no material difference to the size) and as .xls (it got even bigger). I've opened the new workbook, gone to the end of the data and deleted all the blank rows and columns, but no effect (because the rows are already empty).
Why would the file with less in it be so much bigger (or bigger at all)?

In each workbook I have 4 worksheets

I also have a workbook called DecMonthlyTotal in the same folder with the same named worksheets.
I am looking for a macro to be placed in the DecMonthlyTotal that will pull the data from the Cashable12-13 worksheets from Function1, Function2 and Function3 and paste special the values into workbook DecMonthlyTotal, worksheet name Cashable12-13, it will also pull the data from the NonCashable12-13 worksheets from Function1, Function2 and Function3 and paste special the values into workbook DecMonthlyTotal, worksheet name NonCashable12-13
Both the Cashable12-13 and the NonCashable12-13 have Columns A - G The row that the macro should start the copying from is Row 3 for each of the workbooks; however I don't have an end row for the workbooks as this will vary.

May 25, 2014I have around 200 excel spreadsheets/workbooks with identical ranges but each with different data. There is a total of 5 columns and 225 rows in each spreadsheet/workbook. Looks something like this:

The Cells I need to copy are in BOLD. I am trying to paste them onto another workbook as follows
Main Workbook:

As you can see, each workbook has identical A2 and Title 5 columns, so they only need to be copied once onto the Main workbook where data from the B and E columns are different for each Workbook. So not only I need to copy and paste from a Workbook onto the Main Workbook, but the code has be able to paste it onto a new row in the Main Workbook (where each row in the Main Workbook will correspond to the data copied from Workbooks 1-200.
I am new to VBA but I tried a code where I would copy and paste one cell at a time onto the same workbook and not onto the Main Workbook, and then how to copy and paste from one workbook to another, but as you can imagine that would take a long time:
