Find The Time Variation Between 2 Dates With Time?

time variation between 2 dates including time (Exclude weekends and holidays), but include the worked time of weekend, if the end date and time falls under weekend or holiday.
Eg., A issues reported on 01Jan2014 12:00:00 PM and Resolved on 11Jan2014 12:00:00 PM
There are 3 weekends in the above mentinoned date - 5th, 6th and 11th
I can eliminate the weekends using the networkdays formula, but however in this case I need to eliminate 04th and 5th Jan (weekends), but Consider 12 hours from 11Jan2014(which is also a weekend), as the issue got resolved on Saturday afternoon, assuming for critical cases team works irrespective of holidays.

Opening Date: 29/07/2014 13:27
Closing Date: 29/07/2014 14:42
These are formatted in DD/MM/YYYY and HH/MM
I need to subtract the dates and find the time taken from the opening and closing time.

(First please don't send me a link on how to subtract time or show Negative time. I know about 1904 ect.. I can't use that. I need a variation on the formula I am using if possible)
A1 I have a time
A2 I have a time
A3 I have a formula subtracting A2 from A1
The times will vary in A1 & A2. Sometimes A1 will be earlier or later thus giving me negative or positive times. I have a formula that will give me a correct answer but will always show either Positive or Neg depending on what I put in the last part of the formula "-H:MM or H::MM" =TEXT(MAX($A$1:$A$2)-MIN($A$1:$A$2),"-H::MM") in A3. I want it to do the subtraction but say if A1 is > than A2 then "-H::mm", If A1 is < A2 then "h::mm". I don't know if that is possibly or how to incorporate that into what I have.

I would like to calculate the difference (# hours spanned from the dates shown). Unfortunately when we transfer the data the COLON is dropped from MILITARY TIME so I am having problems in the calculation. This is also made more difficult as some of the calculates span over two dates.

I have a worksheet which contains START TIME in column A, then TIME USAGE in column B and END TIME in column C. User enters start time, followed by the number of time usage in minutes, how could i possibly display the end time automatically in this scenario? how do you add the entered time usage to the start time to display the end time? Say if I enter 1:00 AM at start time and 00:15 minutes on time usage, how can 1:15 AM be displayed on the end time automatically?

I m Trying to add some features to it and run into an issue. Here are the fields we are working with!
A1= 13:30:00 17/12/2008
(in other words 1:30pm on date given) - Need to know proper cell number format!!
B1= 23:00:00
(this represents 23 hours) - format for cell is [h]:mm:ss
C1= Unknown function
(This field is my problem!!)
Answer here SHOULD be "14:30:00 16/12/2008"
I need a function for C1 (using A1 and B1) that will give me the time and date 23 hours earlier or however many hours:mins:secs is specified in B1! Also need to know what number format to use for both A1 and C1

I have attached sample.xlsx...In this spread sheet, two sheet are there..
1. Invoice Level
2. Product Level.
Both sheets Billed amount, discount amount & After reprice amt should match....Invoice level sheet - inv# is unique...but in product level sheet have inv# is billed like product level sale and discount amount also distributed product wise....
Here the the billed amount and discount amounts are not matching with 2 sheets. How to find the which inv# product was billed with wrong price or discount...

my problem is that I need to work out the time between two date/times. The first date is imported into the spreadsheet as a line of text, which looks like this :-

I then want to work out the difference in minutes from then until the current time.
I have tried using mid, left and right statements to get all the individual aspects of the date, and then using concatenate and date, but couldn't suss it.

Column “A” list of dates correspondence in
Column “B” list of dates correspondence reply out
Need to calculate how many times the difference between date in and reply date is <= 5 in a specific time period.
The start date is entered in say, “K1”
The end date is entered in say, “L1”
Also calculate difference in dates between 14 days and 21 days for time period
Also with reply in column “B” not sent until over 28 days. I have tried SUMPRODUCT with (date_in=K1)*(date_out<=L1) for the dates but unsure how to define <=5

I work at a call center and I get the data as Date, Time of calling and Duration of the call. Now since this is an overseas call center, even though the calls spills over 12midnight, the corresponding date shows as the date when the agent logged in.
So I get the data in this format, Date: 06/11/2012, Time: 19:00:00 - 04:00:00.
How do I calculate the time difference at one go without first getting the time difference from the time of login till midnight and then add that to the time difference of midnight till time of logout. I have attached a file for your review.

I need to calculate an SLA.
I have 1 column called 'Date/Time Requested' containing the time and the date together, as in:

I also have a second column called 'Date/Time Completed' containing the date and time in the same format as above.
I need a macro that compares the two and works out the following:

I want a 5th column where i can get the following result:
If time in 3rd column is betweeb 8am and 9 am and time in the 4th column is between 8Am and 9 Amthe thee corresponding row in the 5th coulmn should be 8AM-9AM
If time in 3rd column is betweeb 9am and 10 am and time in the 4th column is between 9AM and 10 Am the thee corresponding row in the 5th coulmn should be 9AM-10AM
Likewise for each hourly time slot of the day
The time columns are in the "DATE" Format!
The Purpose is finally to get the number of students logged in each hour of the day,and finally draw a usage hour graph by school and time !

I thought this would be simple but I can't figure it out. I need to subtract the time between two cells. For example:
Cell A1: 6/6/2007 3:00:00 PM
Cell A2: 6/7/2007 2:00:00 PM
Result would be either 0:23 or 23 as in hours.

the vendor has a 21 hr working window; start from 7am and goes until 4am; Mon to Fri.
Here is a scenario:
- i request for a product information from a vendor on 3-Feb-14 8:00am (Monday)
- he replies with all of the product info on 6-Feb-14 12:00pm (Thursday)
can you find the time in above scenario consideration the working window?
Here is another scenario:
- i request for a product information from a vendor on 6-Feb-14 8:00am (Thursday)
- he replies with all of the product info on 11-Feb-14 12:00pm (Tuesday)
- Sat & Sun are days off but keep in mind that my Friday shift ends on sat at 4am so the networdays formula wont work.

I would like to create an average function that will take an average of the Column labeled "Gap Time (Hours/Min/Sec)". I only want it to take the average for this for each new start date. These values will change daily so I was hoping that someone may help me write a function that will work when data changes instead of manually taking the average every time data is entered.

Attached a workbook of what I see. On column A and B there are dates with time on a "m/dd/yyyy hh:mm:ss" format.
Until a while ago excel 2010 would recognize the dates and I was able to find the time difference between the 2 just by typing =B1-A1 (column C)
I think due to a Microsoft update (?) I cannot do it anymore and excel will not recognize the info?

I have been trying to get excel to calculate elapsed time between two dates using mostly what I've read from other elapsed time posts. But I am clearly missing a step. I'm trying to streamline my process for taxes.
I want to take a time in the format of " yy/mm/dd hhmm " example: 1
3/04/24 2245 ( note its a 24hr clock) 13/04/24 2245 would represent 2013 April the 24th at 10:45PM.

I have custom formatted A and B to yy/mm/dd hhmm and formatted c to [h]:mm
When you enter b-a in column c you get #name?
If its easier to have the date and time into separate columns I can give that a shot, I was just trying to make it as streamlined as possible for copy past.

When I enter this : =now(). it gives the local date and time in my PC in that exact cell. assume it is in (A2). when I enter in Any cell in the spreedsheet the sam formula =now(). then the previous formula (A2) is changed to the new date and time.

attached is an example of a timesheet we use.
now after lengthy discussions the comany say its not 'in their interest' to use acess so i'm stuck with excel on this one.
I need to sum a column on many critiera, which i feel maybe a job for the trusty old =SUMPRODUCT. But thing is i need to sum a column based on a date range, Rate, Day.
I have manually typed in the number i think it should produce but as far as formulas go
1st off need to calcualte date range, which is situated on the top of the spreadsheet.
2nd some how tell the formula that Normal overtime is either classed as rate 1 Saturdays classed as 1.5 and sundays and bank holidays classed as 2.

I'm working with data as displayed below. My objective is to create a table by Model with summed quantitiies in two columns representing On-Time and Late. On-Time is achieved when Date Shipped is on or before the Promised Date. I have included the required format to be achieved in the second example. I'm willing to work with macros or VBA for the solution. I just need guidance to learn how to accomplish this task.

i have a time series of data at one hour interval ( from 6:00 hrs to 18:00 hrs ) each day and again from 6:00 to 18:00 hrs next day and so on for several years. in this series many data are missing. i ve to fill in these missing data in such a manner so that the new values becomes the linearly interpolated values in between the data given at any two hours. no rows are allowed to be inserted in between 18:00 hrs of the previous day to 6:00 hrs on the next day. pl see the attatchment.

I work only on Wednesdays and Thursdays. I'd like to calculate the number of my working days between two dates.
NETWORKDAYS seems like the right place to start, but I can't think of how to tell it to ignore Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays as well as the weekend days.
