Macro That Will Sum The Values In Column P From P8

I need a macro that will sum the values in column P from P8:?
The trick is that my # of rows will vary. I have the macro ending in the right spot.
So, if I have 90 rows of data my macro ends in P91. Now I need to be able to have it sum P8:P90. Like wise if I have 300 rows of data my active cell will be P301. I need P8:P300 summed.

Hi, I'm very new to writing Excel Macro's and wanted to know if I could do the following. Conceptually, I understand what I need done and think it should be fairly straightforward.
There's 2 main events in this loop (I hope that's the correct terminology):
Input 1) User defines the beginning cell to start the loop. In this case, A2.
Input 2) User defines the range of columns/rows to display. The formula for rows that I've thought of is 4r. So if a user wants 20 rows below cells A2, they simply input 5 for r. The number of columns is a constant 5. So if r=5, then I'd want the range to be A2:E22......

I'll try my best to explain what I'm trying to do here using Excel macro (i've very limited knoledge in VBA ). I am working on a project where I'm using an actuator to measure micro-switches. The values are then extracted using HyperTerminal via RS232 and transferred to Excel to filter the values and display only the ones that are important.
Here is what I'd like to do via a Macro:
Compare cells in column A (e.g A1 and A2, A2 and A3, A3 and A4 etc.)
Example:

300
550
1200
1700
1900
2200
2000
1850
[Code]....
So first, if the values increase, do nothing and keep comparing other values. If we find the values decrease, display the larger value between the two, in this case it's the value 2200 that we want to display.
Next, the values will be decreasing progressively. We'll do the comparison between 2 values but this time if the values decrease, do nothing until we find a value increases. Display then the smaller value between the 2, here it's 1500.!

I've got workbooks containing various numbers of sheets that represent rooms with equipment in them.
The room number is always in cell B4. The data always starts in cell A8. I need to somehow copy the room number down column G starting at G8 and going down only as far as there is data in column A, which will vary for each sheet. I also need it do do this on all the sheets in the workbook.
I have NO marco skills, can anyone help start me off?

I am trying to write code that will run a macro based on values in a certain column. I do not know how many rows are present at the time the macro will be run.
For example, if Column A has the number 2 in every row then I want macro Z to run. However, if the values are not the same then I want macro Y to run.

In cell A1 I have a countdown timer from an external source that counts down to 00:00:00 approximately every 10 minutes and then resets.
I need a macro to be triggered whenever 00:00:00 is reached.
The macro will select column AL and copy a range of cells (within AL) that contain numeric values only and paste these numeric values in the adjacent cells in column AM. It is important that the paste is values only and not formatting or formulas.
Column is being fed dynamic data from an external source and displays either #N/A or numeric values.

I have a requirement where i need to check whether a value is entered in cells within a collumn and if so, it would set a default value to a cell on the same row but with a different collumn. this needs to occur on the run.
there are columns that i need to check and change the status column cell in accordance.
column client_name
clumn date
column start_time
column end_time
column status
first the macro is to check whether there is a client_name, if a value exist (example, smoth, doe, allen) it would set a default value to the status column on the same row as deviation (options are served, queued, deviation).
then it would check if the date & time columns have value and is less than current date time, it would change the status cell to queued.
i know that there are several nested checks (if then if then if then) the problem is that vba is not one of the languages that i master hence im totally lost here.
i can add the finalizing features and rollout the spreadsheet.
and one more thing. i have multiple sheets with the same layout where these checks and changes need to be performed

Is there a macro that can create workbooks based on this data. So, i'd have one workbook that would contain all the Johns and all the other data in Columns A -Z, then another workbook for Ted, and so on...
The number of workbooks I need is not fixed. It all depends on how many names are in column C.

Because 1 is a repeated value in the first column, the macro copies the first two rows over to a new spreadsheet.

I have an Excel database of department contracts with a Master worksheet. I have created a worksheet tab for each of the departments. Column G has a dropdown list for each department. When I enter a new contract onto the Master I want it to auto copy to the coordinating worksheet based on the selected department.
If possible I would also like it to enter the newest contract would enter into the coordinating Contract Party entered into column D. (ie... If Hospital A is entered in column D on master, the new entry on the worksheet being copied to will be entered under the last Hospital A, if Hospital B is entered on Master it copies under Hospital B). If this isn't possible then I am not too worried about that part.

Here is some context
Each one of these rows represents an entry into a ticket in our incident management system. Col4 represents the method by which the incident was reported to us (Email, Voicemail, Walk In, Ask IT). A ticket can be open and closed with a single entry if the issue is easily solved or it can have many entries if the issue is complex and requires more troubleshooting or escalation to a higher tier of support. I need to determine the number of unique tickets submitted by each reporting avenue (Email, Voicemail, Walk In, Ask IT).
In this table the number of tickets that were:
submitted via Email is 14
submitted via Voicemail is 1
submitted via Walk In is 2
submitted via Ask IT is 1

I am trying to sum certain values in one column based on the values of another column. I made a few tables, generated some random numbers, and then I started writing up an if-then statement to see if I could get what I am trying to do to work. However, I was having difficulty getting the program to run, because I was declaring more than one variable (I think).
So for instance, I want cells in column G to sum forces in column C when a joint in column E matches a joint in column A. Similarly, I am trying to do the same thing for columns F and B.
I have attached a picture, which shows what I would like for the program to do automatically (rather than me doing it all manually)! I didn't include the code I wrote, because it was so minimal

I'm currently working on a spreadsheet that contains 30,000 leads and their respective companies and i need to filter out any leads that work for companies present in a different list of companies (1,834 companies). Basically, i need to filter column A so that it only contains companies present in column B. Is there a way to do this using the advanced filter?

I have about 360 records in Column 1 and less columns in Column 2 (333 in this case). All the values in Column 2 are in Column 1. I need to be able to match those two columns up while keeping the data in Column 3 intact with it's corresponding value in Column 2. But my problem is that I have to tie in the values with column 3 to their corresponding values in column 2. In order to illustrate, I have attached an excel file in which I did the operation manually. (note: all values in column 2 are indeed in column 1 but not in the example as I have shown for the sake of convenience).

I have two DB extracts for 2012 and 2013 with customer id's that no not repeat across the year - columns A and B. I need to arrange this from:

So the major idea is that the customers that are extinct in 2013 would appear as 0 in the Column B; customers that are the same would be aligned vs the previous year and new id's would appear on the separate row.

I have a workbook with 20 sheets in English Language, but I must to translate in Russian. Translating has done by human translator, so translation is good. I must change phrases and words in english to russian. I can use find/replace function but doing by hand it's very tie consuming. I need VBA or macro who takes values in column A, finds it in entire worksheet and changes it to matching value in column B. Is it possible and how I can do it?

I have a vba form with three comboboxes. The first combobox contains a list of employees, the 2nd a list of work activities and the third a list containing hours. As each employee enters the data for their name, activity and hours these values are saved to sheet6 starting at A10, B10 and C10. I want to be able to sum the hours for each employee who enters data. So the completed user form could look like the following:

So as you can see there could be a blank cell in column
"A" under Joe and Bill and Joe could come back later and
enter more info. What I want on sheet6 say starting at A30 the value
Joe would be entered and in B30 his total hours 3.25. In A31
Bill would be entered and in B31 his total hours 3 and so on for other
employees

I'm running into an issue trying to calculate unique values in a Data column based on a few variables in other columns.
My current formula in Summary tab D4:D19 is

This is currently counting the number of times a date value (data column I) appears for that name (A4:A19) in the data when meeting all of the conditions. I need it to instead count the number of times a unique date appears for that name with the additional conditions met (which all appear to work fine).
The results in the pink highlighted cells (Summary column D) should be:
Names starting with A - 3
All others - 2
I've left some other columns in the data with X's so that I can easily convert this back to my working spreadsheet.
