Calculating A Number From Answers To An Audit

I have created a workbook that I store data from my audits, this data is in the form of Y if compliant, N if noncompliant and N/A if not applicable. Where the fun part begins is that each question has a different risk involved. I have used a simple 1 to 5 risk scores and given scores for compliance and non compliance to each score, for example a risk 1 if compliant is 100 points, if non compliant is -100 points, all the N/As are worth 0.
I currently calculate the totals in a different sheet in the work book, but I do this kind of manually, I have calculations to work out the totals and percentages and all that, but I cannot figure out how to get the Ys and Ns to appear in this sheet as 100 or -100. All I do at the moment is bring the Y, N or N/A over with a simple =corresponding cell in sheet 1 then manually change this to the number I require.

I am using Excel 2000 on Windows 2000. There are no macros on spreadsheet and no protections at all yet I acnnot use trace precedents/dependents as the items are greyed out.

I have this macro and I would like to audit the selection of players selected. I would like the number that is entered in the input obx to be placed in the sheet "DRAFT" and be placed in A1 and the next in A2 and so on. Can this code be modified for this to occur.

I am working on a sheet that has over 150 tabs of information. It is a simple audit that allows for Yes, No or N/A to be selected for each audit category. I have an Outcome Summary tab that is pulling totals for all the audit information on each tab. I did a CountA statement to count any cells (from all worksheets) that had anything selected, so I have my count for the amount of files audited, but for the life of me I cannot come up with a formula that counts the ones that passed or failed the audit. Needs a formula that counts for Yes as 1, No as 0, N/A as 1 (these don't count against us) and doesn't return an error for a tab that wasn't selected.

I want to do is add up a column of numbers (which will be just 1's & 0's), and have it multiplied by a number. As to what that number would be is contingent upon the number that's being multiplied (if that made any sense). i.e.
If it's 45 or under, I want it multiplied by 5.
If it's 46 through 64, I want it multiplied by 10.
If it's 65 or above, I want it multiplied by 20.
How would I do this? I, for the life of me, can't recall how to write that formula.

If I had two dates in two separate cells , so E2 is the 01/10/08 and F2 is 06/10/08 and I want to work out that their is a difference of five days what would the sum be? Also is there anyway I could factor into that sum what is pure working days as opposed to weekends?

Each order line has a new row but will have the same order number in the first column as other order lines in the same order. I need a formula that will allow me to put a date in cell a2, and in cell a3 put the the number of days between 2 dates. Example.. For example (A2) shows 08/06/08, a3 to show the number of days from 08/06/08 to 08/14/2008--(a3 )14 and (a4) to shows the number of days from 08/06/08-10/05/2008 ---(a4) 60 days.

I am working on this for two days , but I got stuck on the last step. I have a roster for about 35 employees. Calculating the daily hrs was not a problem. But I am doing the roster for one week. And I want employee wise total of hrs worked. I am quite confused as the "sum" formula works for some totals and for others it does not, although all the cells are in the right format. I tried to change the "result" cell to "number" and multiply by 24 to get the hr total as a number, but it does not work.
for example "SUMIF(E1:E57,"rafik",H1:H57)" ( this is the formula for calculating hrs for "rafik" on monday. the result cell is in "hh:mm" format and gives me the right total.
Likewise upto sunday the totals are right. What I want to do is calculate the total number of hrs from mon to sun. This seems to be impossible. the formula =SUM(H60:AL60) in a dd:mm format does not work, even =SUM(H60:AL60)*24 in a "number format" does not work.
I have tried "excel help" , tried to change the format but nothing works. The result should be 52 hrs and I cant get it no matter what I do.

I am using a spreadsheet to determine if students are meeting Growth Targets between a pre test and post test.
Here is my formula
=If(D8>=C8,"yes","no")
D8 is the Growth Target and C8 is the Post test Score.
After doing this, I need to calculate the percentage of Yes results. This year it will be easy, as it only applies to 25 students. Count the yes's and multiply by 4. Next year, it will apply to number in the neighborhood of 150 students.

What I am trying to do is calculate a particular charge based on two main variables the city and weight chosen (each of which will correspond to a particular value) .I have these cities and weights which correspond to a particular price per 100kg when two are selected

I have a separate row where I am able to enter a weight in one column (A24) and and choose the city from a list in the second column (B24). I need the next column (C24) to display the dollar charge per 100kg from my data that corresponds to the city I have chosen and the weight entered. I am trying to figure out a formula for C24 that allows for instance $5.50 to be displayed when I type in 800kg for A24 and choose Toronto from a drop down list in B24. This row will look like this for reference:

I need to calculate the total cost of outbound calls based on the total duration of outbound calls multiplied by cost per minute. For example, in a given month, the total duration of outbound calls is 261:16:34 being 216 hours, 16 minutes and 34 seconds. I have this figure in cell A1 with the format [h]:mm:ss. I then convert this to minutes in cell B1 by saying B1=A1, but having the format [m], which gives me 15676. In cell C1, I have the cost per minte value of £0.026. But when I apply the formula D1=B1*C1, I get £0.283, when 15676*£0.026 should in fact be £407.58.

I'm trying to calculate the length of a work order to develop an average and future proposal estimates.
For example:
Job received = A1
In work = B1
Job completed = C1
Total days to complete = D1
I know I can enter in D1 C1-A1 and get the correct result but I want the field to calculate A1-TODAY() until a completion date is entered. This would display the number of days the job has been in work until completed. Once completed use the C1 for calculation.
Sorta like
If(C1=">=0" then (A1-Today()) else C1-A1)
I will then use conditional formatting with block colors to indicate whether it is a completed job or in work job.

It should be deplaying dates of weekly days in Monday, Wednesday and Friday excluding sundays. Or Tuesday, Thursday Saturday excluding Sunday. e.g

I have a spreadsheet where I have an intial date of issue of a warrant. Once this warrant has been executed, then a further column is populated with the date. The data I need to work out (Preferably without using macros if possible) is, if there is no execution date the length of time from issue to todays date, but if there is an execution date then length of time from issue to execution. I can do either on their own, but i would like to have only one column showing this info and if possible to update each time the sheet is opened

I have a sheet with this:
cell a1 = numbers from 1 to 10 or nothing
cell b1 = TO or OFF depending on cell a1
cell c1 = numbers from 1 to 10 or nothing
Now I have a formula in cell b1 that detects if theres text in cell a1.
IF A1 = nothing, then b1 = off, else b1 = to.
What I want to achieve is to do 2 things on the IF.
If a1 = nothing, then c1 = nothing and b1 = off. else, b1 = to.
how can I do this?
I looked everywhere and no one speaks of double answers on IF.

Cell C7 is a drop down list with 3 possibles (Consumer,Commercial, Public). Depending on which is chosen, I want Cell C10 to provide a different list of possibles (Consumer Products, Commercial Products, Public Products).
I have tried to create a custom IF statement with the list choice & sometimes it refuses & sometimes it gives me the list, but with the formula string as the drop down options.
Is this forumula possible or is it beyond excel's capability?

here's the formula that I'm using: =INDEX($C$35:$AF$35,MATCH(MAX(C41:AF41),C41:AF41,0 )) where $C$35:$AF$35 contains names of people & C41:AF41 contains #'s. This works great if there isn't a tie. Is there a formula to search the range, find the max # and if there are two answers display both names. ex. the max# is 3 and both joe and sam have 3. it would then show joe / sam or something like that. Is this possible? If not, then if there is a tie for the max #, to have the cell just display tie.
