I am trying to be a good programmer and not do a whole bunch of activate workbooks and worksheets. So I am 99% complete with my subroutine and stuck on 3 lines. I need to copy my entire pivot table from PvtDest (which is Superdatabase.xls sheets f2 pivot)
Set PvtDest = Workbooks(SSRname).Worksheets(CarrPivot)
I would like to have a Macro, which could find Formulas on ALL sheets and replacing them with Values (Special Paste).
Example: I have multiple sheets and on every sheet there are functions (In my case, =MAX). I would like that my Macro would simply find that function and automaticly replace it with a Value (I do not have time to Copy -> Special Paste 300 Functions)
I'm looking for a way that I could place a button on my workbook that would create a new document from the specified worksheets and convert the formulas to the values.
I am creating a Macro to convert formulas to values on a Datasheet after each entry from a form (worksheet) is carried over. Since each entry will go on a separate row I created formulas to give the new datas location. I just can't get the syntax correct for it to run.
Sub Convert_Formulas_to_Values() Range("Reviews!$B$202").Value: Range("Reviews!$AF$202").Value.Select Selection.Copy[code]....
I need to copy the Selected Sheet (Sheet name will be different each month) on a spreadsheet and paste the copy to the left of the selected Sheet. Then I need to copy and paste values the entire sheet of the sheet that the copy was made from (the one on the right). I am very new to macros, and I tried recording and manually editing the macro with no success. The number of sheets will be different always as I will be adding this to different workbooks and also because new sheets may be added to any workbook at any time. I attached my code that I came up with, as I am not familiar with code enought to "[code]" my code.
I have approximately 100 sheets in a workbook. I want to set the value of cell C5 to same exact thing for every sheet. Is it possible to do this without manually going into each sheet and pasting the code?
I have a commissions workbook with about 20-30 sheets. In A1 of every sheet is a Name and in column G is a bunch of Numerical Values. I want to create a "Grand Total" sheet where I have the Name and the Values corresponding from each of the sheets onto my final one.
I would like to link a macro to a button on the active sheet, that saves the active sheet In a New Workbook, with Format And Values Only. Preferably saved in the same location as the origonal workbook. This is my main goal.
If possible I would like the new workbook to be named from a chosen cell (E19) on the active sheet with date added.
I've created a chart in sheet 1 in a workbook. I want to copy and paste that chart into another sheet (lets take sheet 2) of the same workbook. I am using Excel 2010 version.
Whenever, I try to copy a graph and want to do "Paste Special as Link picture". The problem I am facing as "Paste Link" option is inactive.
is it possible to write a macro that will convert absolute values into negative based on criteria? Data gets downloaded from in house system which comes out as all absolute values, now i need the macro to covert absolute values to negative if the amount is either "Our Reciepts" or "Our Delivery"
Below is a small sample of data, real data is around 100 rows
Col DCol EOur Receipts1231Our Delivery1231Delivery Settlement1323
1. Sheet1.xlsx (regular excel sheet as the extension is .xlsx)
2. Consolidated.xlsm (macro enabled sheet as its extension is .xlsm)
1. Copy both the files on your system under a particular folder.
2. Now make 9 replica's of Sheet1.xlsx and name them as Sheet2, Sheet3, Sheet4, .......... Sheet10
3. Open the sheet Consolidated.xlsm and see the button i have added called "Pull Data".
Now write down the code by adding a Module in that excel sheet from the code window.
4. Write a code that will open each of these sheets (Sheet1, Sheet2, Sheet3, Sheet4, .......... so on) one at a time and will copy the data from these sheets to the Consolidated.xlsm sheet.
5. Make sure that the data is appended(and not overwritten) from the multiple sheets (Sheet1, Sheet2, Sheet3). that is once you paste the data from sheet1 to Consolidated.xlsm then the Sheet2 data will be pasted at the end and after that sheet3 data will be pasted and so on..
6. In this way at the end we will have all the data from Sheet1, Sheet2, Sheet3...in the consolidated sheet.
7. The Division column in the Consolidated sheet will have the value of first row in these multiple sheets. So after making the replicas of Sheet1, please change the value in first row (Range A1) to any other value to avoid the confusion.
8. I have highlighted the data for two sheets in yellow and grey color in the consolidated sheet.
i have a workbook with two sheets. lets just call them sheet 1 and sheet 2. on sheet 1 i have data for employees and their current wages and other info. on sheet 2 the data is for compensation scale on three separate columns.......
in order for me to automatically get the data from (sheet 2 B3) the formula for sheet 1 E1 would be: ='Sheet 1'!B3. how do i formulate the equation so that i can do ='Sheet 2'!(C1)(D1)?. in other words i want to specify the column and row from the values declared in sheet 1 column c and column d respectively.
I wrote a simple macro a few months ago and I got carried away and produced an .xla rather than a normal worksheet macro!
I dont need to use this macro as often anymore and another member of staff will be taking the process over so I was hoping to turn the .xla into a normal worksheet macro.
Unfortunately I am very confused by using xla's (at one point I had about 7 versions on my tools menu for some reason!!) and I cannot work out how you convert it!
I am trying find a match from multple "text" values.
The values I'm using are flight numbers from sheet "Indiv case" in column (range H2:H51). The flight number could occur multiple time in the column.
The associated flight number sheet "Code & categories" in column (range H2:H257) are associated with the last port of embarkation (range I2:I257) in "Code & categories" sheet.
I need to copy & past the name of the Last port of embarkation from sheet "Code & categories" into sheet "Indiv case" adjcent to the flight numbers in column (I2:I51).
Example: Sheet "Indiv case" from Column (H2:H51) Fligh number Data: UA863, VA4148, EK432, BA15, BA15, VA98, QF8, AC33 etc Using these value from "Indiv case" from Column (H2:H51) search and match valuse in "Code & categories" in column (range H2:H257)
If match found copy valuse from sheet "Code & categories in column (i2:I257) in to sheet "Indiv case" into column (I2:I51) Last port of embarkation".
H2;H257, I2:I257 Flight, Last Post 3k111, Singapore 3k131, Singapore AC33, Vancouver
Copy and Past "Last Port" into sheet "Indiv case (I2:I51) adjcent to matching flight code.
I have two workbooks: master and student. I have one spreadsheet in each workbook. Both workbooks contains data in the same range.
master.xls data = B1:B10 (values are integers) student.xls data = B1:B10 (values are integers)
I want to know how to update(add) the values in master.xls with the values in a closed workbook(student.xls). Basically if master("B3") = 5 and student("B3") = 1, it will update the value in master("B3") = 6.
convert all spreadsheet in a workbook to one pdf file. I use PrimoPDF to convert, then I only convert 1 sheet to PDF even that I have select all sheets. My be it is a better PDF converter for free you use or other ways to do it.
I need to copy a range of values (actually two ranges). The ranges are of fixed size. Le't say A2:D20 and E2:H20.
Both workbooks have the exact same layout, and they both have the same named worksheet (in this case it's called Entry). However the actual filename of the source workbook is unknown. I know numerous users have changed the filename of the xls file.
I want to instruct them to open the old and new workbook, and open a third workbook containing the copy macro, they run the macro and it copies the data.
How can I reference a known worksheet name but of an unknown workbook name esp when the source and destination share the worksheet name?
1- I dont know why but sometimes excel 2010 converts numbers to dates automatically in my workbook. I use this macro to solve the problem, but since last week it is not working. I get an error: "Method 'NumberFormat' of object 'Range' failed".
2- because it should work in all cells of the workbook, the macro must make changes only in the cells with absolute numbers (ex: 1223) but must not change if in the cell there is a date like 12-may-2012 (numbers with hyphens).
This is my function: _____________________________ Sub PuxaDatas() Dim sht As Worksheet For Each sht In ActiveWorkbook.Sheets
=2*2 if this formula in A1 & it's showing result 4 , how this result means 4 show automatically in cell B1, i mean say that how convert formula result to values automaticallly.
I have some cells in Column I which are linked to the respective cells in Column J, i.e. I17 is linked to the J17, I21 has a link to J21. Now what I want is to convert every cell in column I which has a link to column J into values so that when I delete the column J, the values in column I should not change.
Simply selecting the entire column I, copying it and then pasting as values is not required, as there are some cells in column I which has some functions, and there are other cells which has links to other areas of worksheet and workbook. I just want to convert the cells in column I which has any link to column J. Is there a way to achieve this?
Is there some way to write a formula that would convert these time values (usually in a HH:MM:SS format) into a "minute" value (by rounding 30 seconds or more up to an additional "minute" as well as multiplying each hour by 60 minutes which will all be added to the MM or "minute" format for a grand total of how many minutes were involved with each transaction)?
When I try to re-format the data it changes to a date/time format which makes no sense.
Here is a sampling of some of the data I am trying to calculate:
I am conducting data analysis on a large data set. Missing values are coded as NA. Likewise, when I perform a calculation on a NA value, I receive the # DIV/0! error. I want to know how I can automatically change NA to the integer 0 in a large data set so when I perform a calculation on the NA value, I will receive 0 instead of #DIV/0!.
I need to add a piece of code to a spreadsheet that will turn all formulae within into values. The number of tabs in the spreadsheet is likely to change over time but I want the code to apply to all the tabs - without needing to change it if a tab is added/ deleted.
