I have on sheet1 of my workbook a number of rows of data, from column A through Column G. The Data in column G either contains the text "Yes", or "No".
I need a macro that will look through each row in this sheet, and upon finding a "Yes" in the cell in the column G, will copy that entire row (columns A through G) into a new row in sheet2. Sheet2 currently contains data, so I'd like to move everything down by one row and paste this data at the top (row 6 is the first line of data on this sheet).
I'd then like to go back to sheet 1, and delete the row I've just copied. Then continue though the loop. The loop needs to stop when a blank row is discovered.
I have a workbook with many sheets of similar but not identical data. I need to extract columns from each sheet based on 5 header criteria and paste them to a single sheet. Each worksheet contains these 5 criteria.
I've been working with the VBA script I've pasted below. It's grabbing the 5 column criteria that I have in sheet 12, and comparing them to sheet 1 in the workbook, then copying them to sheet 12. This much is good, but I need the script to also return the data from the other worksheets as well. I've tried modifying the script based on other loop functions in other scripts I've found, but I'm not having any luck.
I'm not sure that I'll be able to explain this clearly, so I've attached an example. There are 3 columns - Issue, Action Group and Status. Many Issues belong to the same Action Group and others do not belong to any Action Group. The is also a Status summary section that has the total Issues and Actions associated with each status. For example the Status called Resolved could have 10 issues and 5 Actions (including blanks). The problem is that I can't figure out a way to get the total for the Actions. As I said this explanantion isn't great, so the attached sheet
I have a file that has two sheets, I have some formulas in the first sheet named "Data",What i would like to have is, If column G in the sheet Data is "Closed", then i want that particular row to be cut from the sheet " Data" and pated in to the Sheet "Done".
I have been struggling to setup these two workbooks for a bit now, and I can't for the life of me figure out a formula to do what I need to do. Essentially, I have one workbook that contains a list of purchase records for my company, sortable by Date, Vendor, Price, etc. and one workbook that has a sheet for every vendor. What I need is a formula that will search column B for a vendor, Allied Waste for example, and transfer all the information within the rows for every instance that vendor is found to the new workbook.
This is basically just a way where I can input information once in one workbook, where the sheets are divided by month, and the info will automatically transfer to another workbook, where the sheets are divided by vendor.
which I have modified from one that I use before for sheets 1 & 3 (instead of 4&5)
But it isn't working! I have defined a dynamic range in sheet 4, which is the range I want to search (its named "search") should i be using this range in the formula somewhere?
Private Sub CommandButton1_Click()
Dim rngFind As Range Dim strFirstAddress As String
With Sheet4.UsedRange Set rngFind = . Find(ComboBox1.Text, LookIn:=xlValues) If Not rngFind Is Nothing Then strFirstAddress = rngFind.Address Do rngFind.EntireRow.Copy Sheet5.Range("A" & Sheet5.Rows.Count).End(xlUp).Offset(0, 0) Set rngFind = .FindNext(rngFind) Loop While Not rngFind Is Nothing And rngFind.Address <> strFirstAddress End If ..................
I am trying to loop through a column and cut and copy cells containing one of ten or more criteria (text strings) to the next worksheet, which already exists.
The basic loop is set up, and I understand that an array for the multiple criteria is needed but am falling at this hurdle, as well as struggling with the routine to copy the row to the next available row on the next worksheet.
I have omitted to post my effort so far, as it's embarrassingly basic, but can anyone help with the code?
I have an personnel file with employee info, and I want to create a macro that will look in the "Master" worksheet at the Department column ("I") for anyone in Benefits, and then copy their name from the Name column ("D") into the "Benefits" worksheet. The names should begin pasting in cell "D3" but will recognize if a cell already has a name in it and then paste in the cell below that.
Here is what I have:
Public Sub RatingbyDept() Dim Dept As Range
With Sheets("Master") For Each Dept In .Range("I2:I1000") With Dept
I keep getting error 92 - "For loop not initialized".
I need to copy specific rows that have a specific value in colum B and Colum M to new worksheets.
So from attached screenshot , say for an example macro shud filter rows that have "BigPond" in coloum B ,"RG2" in column M & "INT" in column W and i dont want all cells in these rows , i only want copy cells under column C,AK,AL,AM (in this order) to my other excel sheet that is named "BigPond" and it should paste it starting from Row5?
I want to avoid recording a macro as it selects a range and i am expecting more new rows every week so if a record a macro the cell range for selection changes and i get incorrect result.
I have spent a few days searching through forums but cannot find examples that i have been able to successfully adapt ( because they are to complicated for my limited knowledge). I have a workbook with 5 sheets, sheet1 (current), and sheet 4 (archive) are the important ones. I need a macro to
A) copy rows from "current" to "archive" ( to the 1st empty row) if column S of "current" contains "Closed" ( the word is generated by formula).
B) The paste needs to paste special values and number formats ( want to lose formula but not conditional formatting).
C) data sort "archives" based on col A - this puts the newly archived data into correct sequence.Data sort lowest number 1st
D) delete the copied rows from "current".
e) give me a count of how many rows it deleted, (I have a macro to insert rows so will run that manually to recreate the correct number of emtpy rows (with formula and formatting) to bring the current sheet back to usual size.
I tried modifying a macro by RPaulson (based on cells on one sheet to cells on another), to work with entire rows but couldn't get it to work.
Found that paste special uses PasteSpecial xlPasteValues, but , and thats about it.
I did a search to find a question similar to mine and I found this: Copying data matching a criteria into another spreadsheet
This is exactly the same concept I am trying to accomplish, but don't know how to...at all. I couldn't follow the thread either.
I have a schedule which is constantly being updated (simplier version attached). I want to create a schedule, which will: 1) First ask which region to display the information for (I would like to create the same pop up menu to choose from) 2) Then, it will select only that region's information (all rows & columns) and copy them into a new worksheet and lists it all -if you go back to the Master List, you can again choose another Region and it will create another new worksheet with that region's information 3) Don't know if this is making things more complicated, but at the bottom of the attached file, there are 3 lines under "Land".
Is it possible to list these under the same spreadsheet as the region it is pertaining to but classify it separately under "Land" (ie leaving space, so it is clear this is separate
I've attached a workbook with a description of what I'm trying to do. I'm not sure if it can be done with formulas or if it will require VBA. I can move it to the VBA section if the latter terms out to be the case. it's not that I'm opposed to copying code, I just like to know how it works with enough depth that I can fix/modify it, and I can't do that with VBA).
I have a spreadsheet that is used to store statistical information on a monthly basis, some of this information may be incomplete and so will need to be acted upon month by month, What I need to do using VBA is: At the close of the spreadsheet check sheet1 and if there is any data (text) in cells N Ė Q on any line If there is move to sheet3 check for the next blank line then paste the data from only certain fields i.e. A,B, N-Q,R,S
Here is another problem
As the sheet will be used on and off during the month I donít want data that is already been moved across to sheet3 to be copied again so there needs to be someway of checking if the info is already there? I have code now for the find last cell part of the problem.
Sub FindLastCell() Dim LastCell As Range With ActiveSheet Set LastCell = .Cells(.Rows.Count, "A").End(xlUp) If IsEmpty(LastCell) Then 'do nothing Else Set LastCell = LastCell.Offset(1, 0) End If End With LastCell.Select End Sub
I need to copy all the work sheets into one single work sheet (mastersheet). The source work sheets are having same column structure. The condition which i need to take care of is that after column 3 if at all there is any data till column 10 then in the destination mastersheet these should be copied in different rows with first two columns repeated. I need to do this using VBA macro.
I have a worksheet where I collect ledger balances from 2 different sources and wish to identify out of balance situations. I have done so, but now I need to copy those rows indicated by a "No" to another worksheet (ideally I would like to have those rows printed out directly, but I can do that from another worksheet. I have tried AutoFilter and Sort, but that is not giving me what I want or expect. My question is: How do I code a macro to pull those "No" rows and either print them directly or copy to a new worksheet (WorkSheet2)?
I am looking for code to copy and paste a row into a new sheet based on the data in a particular column. I would like it to look at Sheet 1 Row D and if it finds the word Russell to copy the entire row and paste it into the Sheet entitled Russell
I have a single sheet that lists available items, prices, etc. When doing quotes, you simply put y/n in Col:A for each item. I then want a simple macro that will copy all of the rows with "yes" into a second sheet. Sample data with end result attached.
I did try and butcher this macro to do what I want, and whilst it does copy data across, it's not really working. Firstly as I think it is searching along a row and copy columns, whereas I need to search a column and then copy rows.
I currently receive a download that contains multiple reports in one excel sheet. Each report is separated by the value "Vendor" in column A. I would like to separate each of the reports into a new excel sheet. Basically, I will need to copy all rows between "Vendor" and "Vendor" values and paste to a new sheet.
I have a row of numbers that change as they go up. I will have 2 rows of numbers that will range from 1's all the way to 9's (B through BO) I will have different letter sequences that I will be entering as the criteria in column F either on the Up and Down sheet or the Even and Odd sheet. When I say different sequences. This is 1 group of letters. The next group of letters in column F will be in a different order. They will always be a U and D in one and E and O in the other but in row 13 it may have a U or D and it will be the same all the way down. The object is for me to be able to place the letters in either column F from rows 13 to 60, place 2 rows of numbers in rows 58 and 59, press the advance cell in G1 and it it populates all across the spreadsheet from I to BO. I will get all different number sequences since I am starting with a different number in rows 58 and 59. I have all the letters color coded and they move up based upon the color of the letters in row 1. If there is a green E in column M then I will be the column that the number advances from 1111 to 2111. If there is a green O then column K will advance up from 1111 to 1121.
I made a short video if you wish to view it.
The conditional formatting is very important so I need to have the green font with gray shade and red font with yellow shade [URL]....
Copy rows from one Sheet to another based on a separate cell value But specifically, I am trying to copy row values from Columns C through column Z in Worksheet 1 of file POHeader.xlsx to row values Columns N through AK in file POReceiv.xlsx when the (Purchase Order #) values in Column A of each file match.
The reason is behind this is - one file has the unique Purchase Order number as the key without associated parts and the other file has the associated part number as the key with purchase order number attached.
I don't know whether I need to use VBA or if I can just use an index and match function.
I am not sure my title is accurate so I will explain what I am trying to do. I would like to total the numbers from each row which has "Monthly Totals" in column A. There are currently only two of these but there will be more added over the year. Rather then have to edit the formula to include the new cell I want added to the total, is there a way to create a formula which will automatically scan Column A for "Monthly Total" then add the cell from that row to the running total at the top? Basically, If any cell in Column A has "Monthly Total" add the cell from column B (from the same row) to the running total in cell B1. This way I could add as many "Monthly Totals" as needed and I wouldn't have to edit the formula in cell B1.
I have two workbooks at the moment, one which holds a whole host of customer and accounts details and another which holds only the customer details. What I'm trying to do is cross reference the two to determine if a customers details appear on both and if they do highlight this, ultimately I'd like it to pull the customers account number back but even if it highlights a match that would be sufficient.
The only unique criteria I have to do this are customer surname and customer postcode.
In the Customer details spreadsheet I'm attempting to enter a formula which will look at the specific surname & postcode held on the row in which it is entered. It will then look at all of the rows on the other spreadsheet and determine whether any of them meet both criteria.
If they do I'd like it to display "match" if they don't I'd like it to display "no match"
