Function Routine Not Working

I've written a Sub that separates words in a sentence into columns in an excel worksheet and it works perfectly. I can't however convert the convert it to a function procedure. when I do so I receive a Circular referencing problem or upon making necessary corrections to prevent circular referencing, I get the Excel #Value error. Project Routine List: Printout Of Each Routine Name And Which Module It Resides In

I am in the process of re-building a major project due to bugs. In the process, I plan to re-organize my sub-routine grouping within modules. In the source file, I have 18 standard modules, with 10-30 routines in each one.

What I would like is a printout of each routine name and which module it resides in, so I can check off each one as I copy it and paste it into the new file. I see that I can get a psuedo tree-view of my project in th eObject Browser, but can't figure out how to print that.

I've found several posts but none seem to peform this varying function:

EX12345678....Result in Col B: "EX" and Result in Col C: "12345678"
RTZZ4567.......Result in Col B: "RTZZ" and Result in Col C: "4567"

The problem with the formulas I've got specifically define - pulling let's say LEFT, 2 characters.....when, I may need it to pull 2 or 3 or 4. I found something that's smart enough to look for ONLY ALPHA and strip those out and place them into one column. =LEFT(A1,MIN( FIND({0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9},A1&"0123456789"))-1)

Extract Data By Type To Separate Workbooks

I have created a workbook for a co-worker. The way it works is data comes from an outside source with customer names in Column A and their Account Reps in Column H. This data is pasted into a template that I created with a very simple macro recording that filters on each Account Rep and is copied and pasted each into a different workbook. Then I had to go through each workbook (because of the info being sensitive) and create a macro that deletes the unwanted data because when the data is pasted it transfers all of the data and you can unfilter to see the full sheet.

I know there is a better way to extract data on each change in column H into a new workbook. Does anyone know how to do that? Another issue is the original data is not very clean so there are blank rows in the list. For Example:

Create Separate Columns From One Column

I have a spreadsheet with these columns:Group_Name
Contact Name
Company Name
Contact ID

Situation:
The Group Name Column has the name of the group that the Contact Name is a member of. The Contact Name could be a member of many Group Names and therefore there may be many rows of the same Contact Name one with each Group Name that they are a member of. I have manually created separate columns for each Group Name in the spreadsheet that is attached.

Goal:
I would like to have a macro that will look at the Group Name column and create a new column for each distinct group. I then would like the macro to go down the Contact Name column (I believe that I will have to have it sorted)and look at the Group Name that is listed in that row and put "True" in the Group Column that was created in the above step. Then, go to the next row, if the Contact Name is the same, look that the Group Name column and put "True" in the corresponding Group Column in the FIRST ROW OF THAT CONTACT NAME. Then Delete that row.

I am trying to take items with multiple market attributes and columnized them so that they can be sorted or filtered.

For example,

Item 110 is suitable for Preteen, Teen, Young Adult, Adult and Senior
Item 121 is suitable for Teen and Young Adult
Item 250 is suitable for Senior
Item 300 is suitable for Young Adult, Adult and Senior

I want to be able to arrange the attributes vertically so that the attributes can be filtered. I'm thinking the easiest way to do it is to duplicate each row as many time as there are attributes and copy each attributes to a single Market column.

Create Subfiles From Master File Using Key To Split Workbooks To Separate Files

I am trying to make my macro more dynamic for a spreadsheet I am working on. I have this code which splits out worksheets (using the specific names of the worksheets-not dynamic) from a main workbook into template workbooks (which are basically just an empty workbook because I didn't know how else to do it) and then saves them using the paths below. I would like to make this more dynamic by splitting the different worksheets into new workbooks based on a key column in the hierarchy worksheet.

Basically I have a list of accounts in column B with the file name they should be exported to in column A. There are about 30 accounts being split into 6 different region files. Also note that the same account might be listed multiple times in column A (needed to add multiple numbers for other lookup formulas in the worksheets) but that account worksheet will still only be going to one of the six region files and not to multiple regions. After these are copied to an individual file I would like to save it to a location on my computer. All files will go to this location.

VBA Create Yearly Extract Using Column Headings

I'm using the code below to extract data from a 'Source' sheet to populate a "Yearly Extract Summary" 'destination sheet. With the unique distinct values copied from column I on the 'Source' ("All Data") sheet to column B on the 'Destination' ("Desired Output") sheet. In addition the values from column J on the 'Source' sheet are summed and paste under the relevant month on the 'Destination' sheet.

The code works fine and the correct figures populate the correct columns and rows on the 'Destination' sheet.

As you can see from the code above, the monthly values have to be hard coded to match the column headings and this is fine when using a static 12 month period. But I'm now wanting to use a rolling 12 month period, which, at the moment, necessitates the need for me to change the code each month so I'd like to change the code but unsure where to even begin, how to produce the initial script.

I'd still like maintain the existing functionality in this section of code:

I have the following problem: I have this formula, that works correctly:

=SOMMA.SE('[myfile_12112012.xlsx]RIEPILOGO'!$C$2:$C$12;E1;'[myfile_12112012.xlsx]RIEPILOGO'!$B$2:$B$12)

I wish I could read the name of the file (myfile_12112012.xlsx) or, alternatively, all of the function's first argument (('[myfile_12112012.xlsx]RIEPILOGO'!$C$2:$C$12) from a separate cell.

I tried this:

SOMMA.SE = (C2, E1, '[myfile_12112012.xlsx] ERROR SUMMARY'! $ B $ 2: $ B $ 12)

putting in the cell C2 the string:

'[myfile_12112012.xlsx]RIEPILOGO'!$C$2:$C$12

In this way, however, the formula does not work.

How can I read and evaluate correctly the first argument from the cell c2?

Excel 2003 :: Create Pivot Table That Aggregates Equal Data From Separate Categories

Is it possible to aggregate data in a pivot table from different categories?

I have excel 2003.

For PURE illustration, I have 6 columns, A-F, respectively:

"TV Show", 4 columns for names of people who watched the show (Persons 1, 2, 3, and/or 4), and finally, the duration / "Time" of the show.

I want to see in a final output:

Anytime a person has watched the show (whether i have penned him in columns 1, 2, 3 or 4), Excel to aggregate the total hours watched by that person.

When i try to do this with my pivot table i run into an error: if Person A watched "TV Show X" in row 1 and his name is in the Person 1 Column, Excel will not aggregate his TV time with "TV Show Y" in Row 2 when his name is in the Person 2 column.

It will sum up the categories separately even if the "Person" inputs in the separate "Person" columns are exact matches.

I'm trying to automate a search and match function between two separate workbooks using VBA and am having some problems. I'm using the following line:

search_results = Application.Match(temp, Range("E1:E900"), 0)

which works fine. now the problem is that when i'm searching for lets say "ABCD" in one of the workbooks, if there is an entry "ABCD " (with a space at the end) it says that the entry doesn't exist. is there any way of correcting it such that it would always neglect the space at the end if it exists? i tried using -1 instead of 0 and it messes up, so i'm not sure what to do.

I copied and pasted the function into a new sub and deleted the sub module1 and the end sub to make sure it is it own function I can call.
