I have created a UserForm that has a ComboBox and depending on the number selected I want it to show that number of Labels/TextBoxes...
So if I select "0" nothing is shown, if I select "1" one set of Labels/TextBoxes is shown, select "2" and two sets of Labels/TextBoxes are shown... but also if I have selected "2" and then select "1" I want the second set to be hidden again...
Also I know I should have renamed the Label/TexBoxes to make it easer but I was adding things and making it up as I went along...
I'm using Excel 2010 on windows 7.
Code: Sub UnHide_NewRoutings() If (Engineering.ComboBox2.value) = "0" Then Engineering.Label4.Visible = False Engineering.TextBox5.Visible = False Engineering.Label9.Visible = False Engineering.TextBox9.Visible = False
I am trying to write Excel VBA on Mac. Need to use the Dir function to get the file name in my document folder, but it showed only one file in the folder "DS_Store". There are actually several Excel files in the directory just don't show up by using this function. I have done some research on this "DS_Store" file, it seems a hidden/system file for Mac. It's fine, but it really doesn't make sense that other files won't show. Also, when writing VBA for Windows, *.xls refers to any file with a .xls extension. How to express the same thing for Mac? I am new with Mac, it just works so different than Windows.
I have some data validation drop down lists in excel, I can tab through all the lists but I have to press alt + down arrow to show the list, Is their a way it can be automatically shown as soon as I focus on the tab.
A great chance to use the HTML Maker for the first time!
What I would like to do here is show how many of each value there is in the range.
So for 7B-MA5, it would say 6. For 7B-MA4, it would be 2 / 1 / 3, since there are 3 unique values and their counts respectively. Finally for 7B-MA3 it would say 3 / 3
A formula option would be great but I'll also take a macro option since it is a macro that generates these lists in the first place, so I could just add the new code to the end of it.
I have a combo-box in a Multipage control. Now I want to get the combo-box populated with list in 2 columns from 2 different consecutive columns from the same worksheet (Product List). Now, Once the list gets populated, user will be selecting his choice from the list, which is then needs to get copied to another worksheet (Order Placed). Both worksheets exist in the same or one spreadsheet.
I am trying to make it work with the following code. I am able to see 2 columns but with no data getting populated. I am working in MS Excel 2007.
Sheet 1 is a sheet that has a shape with macro assigned to show Userform6.
Sheet 2 contains data that is displayed on Userform6. I use Userform6 to show statistical data that is on Sheet2.
Sheet 3 contains data that is input to ComboBoxes on Userform6 using the RowSource Property.
On Sheet 2, when I select Userform6, the data is correctly shown in all comboboxes and Textboxes......
On Sheet 1 when I select Userform6, only the comboboxes show the data...the textboxes do not show any data.
I do not want users to see the data on Sheet 2 which is why I want to show the Userform on a different sheet as the data sheet will be hidden from users.
Question is: How can I show Userform6 on Sheet 1 with all the data showing in textboxes?
How can I get the dropdown list to not include blank cells in the list reguardless if the sort filter is used or not.
Sheet 1 (STATS) is the dropdownlist Cell B12 Sheet 2 (Orders) is the data, I cant convert to tables because the cells are active and storted Column B2: is the data named.
I can set a default value, how do I show in the ComboBox what the value is? In this snippet I get the variable value, pass to ComboBox1 but it doesnt appear (Display) in the ComboBox window.
I would like to use the combo box to perform a search function. I have 4 columns of data and 2 sheets, The first column in sheet 1 is the "Name". By selecting the person name in the combo box, the data of that person would be shown in another sheet (sheet 2). And now I have a combo box in sheet 2. How can I do this using the combo box?
I have an inventory sheet that uses multiple userform comboboxes to input data to a sheet. Everything works great except on one userform "pullmat" where the user removes inventory from a unique list of all material available in "Master Log" sheet. The combobox that im trying to fix is "combobox3" in the "pullmat" userform. I'm trying to get that combobox to only show P.O. numbers that are related to the material selected in the "Material Code / Name- combobox2. In other words, the user should only be able to select a P.O.# that matches that specific material on the Master Log sheet.
The file size is too large to attach but I can email a copy if needed.
The field list does not appear when I create a pivot table in Excel 2007. It works properly if I start Excel in safe mode. I have toggled the field list button in the PivotTable Tools show/hide ribbon and I tried repairing Office 2007 from the control panel.
i'm writing a refrigeration selection user interface, working from values on an excel spreadsheet. how to get the programme to automatically select a value from a list or range once a user has selected corresponding value from a list within a combobox. for example if a user sets the temperature of their refrigerator to -5 celsius i need the programme to automatically select the corresponding value of enthalpy for the air at that temperature.
Sub ComboBox1_Chg() For Each Sheet In Worksheets If Sheet. Name <> "CoverPage" And Sheet.Name <> Sheets("CoverPage").ComboBox1 Then Sheet.Visible = False Else: Sheet.Visible = True End If Next Sheet End Sub
It works if I step through it (F8) but the ComboBox doesn't work. It's named ComboBox1, and in the properties the ListFillRange shows all of the names in the list in the ComboBox correctly.
From an Excel form combobox I can select one number from a list (from column A). Once selected I want the value in the adjacent column D to show in a text box, with the option to change that text box value, with the change reflected in column D cell.
I want to select a customer name from a ComboBox in a UserForm and populate a TextBox with additional customer information for the end user. The additional customer information is always located in C3 in sheet2 (the result of a formula). However, the text box only refreshes when I click into it. Is it possible to have it refresh without clicking into the userform textbox)? I’ve tried _Change and _Afterupdate. I'm sure this must be easy for anyone but a novice like myself. Sample attached (play marco...button dead?).
Private Sub ComboBox1_Initialize() Me.TextBox1.Text = "" End Sub Private Sub ComboBox1_Afterupdate() Me.TextBox1.Text = Worksheets("Sheet2").Range("C3").Value End Sub
I have written code in which cell color changes according to cell value. To change cell value I have used drop down list (Data/Validation/List). Main question/problem is code works well when cell value is changed by typing from keyboard only.
Code doesn't work when cell value is changed using drop down list.
I have the below code that loop through a list and hides rows that doesn't contain a value of the Textbox, it works fine but becomes very show where number of records it passed through the loop is greater than 1000, is there more efficient way of writing this code?
I have a userform where I have 2 comboboxes. The first combobox shows the the first column (only 1 of each) and the second comboBox shows me the secondary list that correlates to the valuse in the first from column B. Now I have a text box that I am trying to get the value from column C depending on what I have in the first 2 comboboxes. What is the easiest way to do it? This is all in VB since it is a UserForm, and using Vlookup seems to be too many lines if I go that route. Is there a way to use Index and Match in VB where it would be more efficient? I attached just a sample of how the data would be layed out in the Excel sheet.
I'm quite new to VBA, but I am attempting to get a Forms ComboBox to appear or disappear based on whether a certain cell (P7) reads YES or NO. P7 in turn updates in turn based on a user-selected value. As of now, the ComboBox only appears or disppears if I go back in and out of the formula I entered into P7. Basically, I want my ComboBox to dynamically update based on the value in P7. That may sound a little muddled, so here is my code for the ComboBox:
Code: Private Sub Worksheet_Change(ByVal Target As Range)
If Not Intersect(Target, Range("P7")) Is Nothing Then If UCase(Target) = "YES" Then Me.Shapes.Range("Drop Down 30").Visible = msoTrue Else Me.Shapes.Range("Drop Down 30").Visible = msoFalse End If End If
Im trying to add coloumn heads to my listbox but its just not working i was using rowsource to use the first row of the sheet as the headings however this just set the values in the listbox to the rowsource. Here is my code
If Area = "" Then Dim c As Range Zip = "*" + Zip + "*" Me.ListBox1.Clear For Each c In Range([e2], [e65000].End(xlUp)) If UCase(c) Like UCase(Zip) Then With Me.ListBox1 .AddItem c .List(.ListCount - 1, 0) = c.Offset(0, -4).Value .List(.ListCount - 1, 1) = c.Offset(0, -3).Value .List(.ListCount - 1, 2) = c.Offset(0, -2).Value.....................
Update a list using a Combo Box works fine when the list is on the same worksheet but when the list is on a different Worksheet it does not work.
Is this achievable? I guess so! but was wondering how to do it.
e.g: if my range defined name called let us say "SP" with a range AD1:AD60 in Sheet1 when I use a combo box the Listfillrange will contain: SP
When inserting a new entry using the combobox it works fine but when the same defined name range points to a different Worksheet example: Sheet2 then the update does not work although the ListFillRange contains the same Range name: SP.
Code below. I need it to NOT run if the sheet week2 doesn't exist. Currently it gives a runtime error '9' out of range. This is due tot he sheet not being present because sometimes it is not generated.
Code:
Sub RemoveColWeek2sheet() Dim ColNo As Integer Dim rng As Range Set rng = ThisWorkbook.Sheets("Week2").UsedRange
