I have been able to create a userform that allows users to fill out a form without the need to navigate throught the excel spreadsheet form that has been created. to further refine this I am trying to use either a list box or Combobox to display specific items for certain cells, ie Travel Method (Air / Rail / Other), or Department (Projects / Finance / Engineering / Admin etc). I can create these in a spreadsheet without to much problem, but sofar have been unable to get them to work in the user form.

having trouble with the details of actually making these features work for me. I figured out how to create a UserForm with a ListBox and 2 buttons, but I don't know how to proceed from here.
1. Populate the ListBox in the UserForm with a list of names from the sheet "Totals_Dropdowns", cells K2:K11
2. Make the UserForm pop up and enter the user's selection into cell C40 of the "Regenerate Request"
I know these are very basic operations, and I'm pretty sure I can figure out the rest of my problems once I can get past the above.

I've created a macro that searches the active worksheet for a textboxvalue and copies all full and partial matches to a multicolumn listbox. However, I'd like to install some sort of filter that prevents registrations not containing the value in a combobox from making it into the listbox (so I'd actually like to search for registrations meeting two criteria, i.e. an advanced search). The macro I'm using is:
Private Sub Query_Change()
Dim vFound As Range
Dim strFirstAddress As String
On Error Goto ErrorHandle
Set vFound = Cells.Find(What:=Query.value, After:=Cells(1, 10), _
LookIn:=xlFormulas, LookAt:=xlPart, SearchOrder:=xlByRows, SearchDirection:=xlNext, _
MatchCase:=False, SearchFormat:=False)
If Not vFound Is Nothing Then
strFirstAddress = vFound.Address
I've attached the workbook I'm working on, in case I haven't made myself sufficiently clear in the above.

I'm attempting to add the values for a combobox and (2) text boxes to a list box on a form. The list has 3 columns. When I run code to add to the list box the values are added on separate rows instead of the same row. See code below and attached screen shot.
VB:
Private Sub cmdAddToList_Click()
Dim i As Integer
Dim iRow As Integer
If Me.cboParts.ListIndex = -1 Then Exit Sub
For i = 0 To Me.lstParts.ListCount - 1

I've been trying for hours to populate a textbox on a userform based on a combo box. I'm including a zip of my workbook to see. (don't laugh to hard at my code, like I said I'm green...:) When you select a mix design in my form I want the next six combo boxes to populate. The way I have it now is based on one of the many examples found here, (none of which have worked for me so far, but this one said "the simplest way to do this is......") And I get an error 425 - "Object not found". I've done searches based on the error but haven't found an answer.

Is it possible to count the number of comboboxes on a userform? Or better yet can I fill an Array with all the combobox names on a userform? I can count the controls on a userform but I'm trying to count just the comboboxes? Instead of all the labels and textboxes and frames.
I would like to loop through them for validation instead of doing it by each one by itself!

I have created a User form with Combobox's, which in turn look up cell references in another sheet. In order to make maintainence of the combobox's as easy as possible I'd like the look up as many cells as possible, therefore anyone can easily add additional text to go into the user forms. However I don't want the blank spaces to show until something has been added.

The code for sorting a multi-column listbox in Retain Selection After Sorting ListBox was really good, and I've used it a lot in an application I'm building.
What I'm hoping to do is reload a listbox in such a way that the items appear in the same order they were previously in. I'll describe two scenarios:
1. User edits a record
- user sorts listbox
- user selects a record
- user edits record
- listbox reloads, unsorted
2. User adds a record
- user sorts a listbox and sees a record is missing
- user adds the missing record
- listbox reloads, unsorted
ideally the last step for each would be "listbox reloads, sorted" and the user would go on down the list. the tricky part i think is when rows are deleted or added.
i'm starting on a solution, but if there's some existing code that will do this i'd appreciate if someone could point me to it (because, for example, the listbox sorting code i referred to above anticipated things i did not).

I am using the method below to fill a list or combo box. It works but is slow when there are to many entries.
Is there a more elegant way to do this? I heard there was a method using the Excel filter function that makes the whole procedure below not necessary....

in A1 there will be a box with LinkedCell set to A1 and ListFillRange set to B1:B5. I now want a similar box in A2, with A2 as LinkedCell. However, when I copy paste the box in A1, it still refers to A1 and B1:B5 (the last part is ok). I can easily change A1 to A2 by just changing it in the properties, but the thing is that I also need these boxes in A3:A100. Someone else helped me out by writing some code, but this is not working correctly yet, probably because I'm doing something wrong.
Also, the ListFillRange might expand in the future. Therefor I would like to know if its possible to select the boxes in A1:A100 and change the ListFillRange to B1:B6 for all at once, or even have a piece of code attached to a command button that recognizes the expanded range and updates it.
I couldn't attach the file because it was to big, therefor I uploaded it with yousendit:
[url]
So in short: I would like all the comboboxes in column E to be linked to the cell underneath and have and option to adjust the listfillrange. The same for column F, but for this one the listfillrange needs to be O8:O11.

I have 2 combobox in userform. Both the comboboxes have the same list down value and I have applied as follows
VB:
combobox1.value = "Transport"
combobox1.value = "Paper"
combobox1.value = "Pencil"
Like this I have long list
In the combobox2 same list has been applied
Is there a way in which by one command the list is applicable to both the comboboxes, that would save me on the length of VBA.

I am trying to populate a listbox in a userform using a dynamic list of data in column Y or worksheet "varhold".
Here is my code:
Code:
Private Sub Userform2_Initialize()
With UserForm2.listbox1
RowSource = ThisWorkbook.Sheets("varhold").Range("offset($y$1,0,0,counta($y:$y),1)")
.BoundColumn = 1
.ColumnHeads = False
.ColumnCount = 3
End With
End Sub
When I run this procedure, the box is blank. There is no list.

I am not sure if this can be done easily but essentially what I have is a userform that fills out a form that will used by several different people and saved to a central location.
There is a blank combobox currently labeled "Supplier:" that each person fills out each time on the userform (there are no dropdowns yet).
What I am wanting to do is for every person who saves (I have coded the save button) with the "Supplier:" combobox filled out to save what they entered and input that into the combobox dropdown so when the next person uses the userform the entry the previous person entered would be in the combobox as an option to select.
Essentially, a combobox populates itself based on what previous users have entered into it.

Excel 2007 and very new to VBA...
I have a userform (named "QAReviewForm") with a combobox (named "cboSupName"). I want it to populate with my named range "SupList".
FYI, the SupList is found on sheet 2, "Administrative Menu" in column E. E1 contains the heading "Supervisors", and my named range formula is
Formula:
[Code ] .....
When it runs, my form opens and the combobox is there, but nothing appears as options for me to select (yes, I have some values in column E).

I have a list of employees that can be assigned to tasks, the list is large enough that I cannot remember who is assigned to what.
All the employees assigned major tasks are automatically filtered out but these are employees with administrative tasks that should only be assigned as a last resort. I would like to assign the employees with administrative tasks a gray, italic, strike-out or some other font to indicate that they are different.
I assume this is done during the Add Item process...

Attached is the form I created so far. I copied everything together and matched it up for me. It's probably not the best way but it works. I marked the section where I need help in yellow.

The issue I am having concerns the clear filter button. As currently designed, the clear filter button will reset the initial listbox back to its default values. Ideally, I would like it to reset to the default values excluding those values that currently in the second listbox.

I have two questions.
1). I have dates listed in excel (01/01/2006 to 12/31/2006) say from range B12:B376.
How do I get these values to a ComboBox.
2). If the above is possible and if I select a value in ComboBox say 08/07/2006, it should get updated in a particular cell say A1
So selection of 08/07/2006 in ComboBox, should reflect 08/07/2006 in cell A1.
Note: This ComboBox is on the UserForm and not on the Excel Sheet.

I copied and pasted Column A into Column C and then removed duplicates. I named Column C 'ValList' and placed it in the RowSource for ComboBox1. What I now want is for ComboBox2 to populate based on my selection in ComboBox1. There are no duplicates in Column B. Duplicates are in Column A.
I also named Column A 'Proc_Grp' and Column B 'ADA_QSI_Desc'
For the properties in Combobox2, I left the RowSource empty. (that's correct right?) Because there's going to be a code that links Combobox2 to Combobox1... I think...

I must be overlooking something. Apparently, there is some difference between comboboxes and listboxes that I was not aware of. When I use the following code to populate a listbox, it works perfect:
Private Sub UserForm_Initialize()
Dim GrowerData() As String
Dim GrowerRange As Range
SheetTwoLastRow = Worksheets(2).Range("A2").End(xlDown).Offset(1, 0).Row
