Add Dynamic Named Range To Combobox In Userform - Runtime Error
Oct 8, 2013I'm trying to add a dynamic named range to a combo box in Userform but getting this error.
Have tried several lines of code this being the last that hasn't worked . . . .

Jul 23, 2013I'm attempting to add the values for a combobox and (2) text boxes to a list box on a form. The list has 3 columns. When I run code to add to the list box the values are added on separate rows instead of the same row. See code below and attached screen shot.

Mar 2, 2008i want to use a listbox or combobox on a userform with the values coming from column A in the MAIN sheet. what i need is if the colour i want is not there i type the new colour in it then adds the value to the end of values in coloumn A and too the list for the next time i use the userform. is it possible to do this and how?

I have a userform (named "QAReviewForm") with a combobox (named "cboSupName"). I want it to populate with my named range "SupList".
FYI, the SupList is found on sheet 2, "Administrative Menu" in column E. E1 contains the heading "Supervisors", and my named range formula is

When it runs, my form opens and the combobox is there, but nothing appears as options for me to select (yes, I have some values in column E).

The combobox allows for user entry and i am trying to create code where it adds the value entered in the combobox to the range("a1:a10) on sheet1 if its not already within the list. Then set the last value used as the listindex of the combobox.

But, for some reason, ComboBoxTime1 (as shown in the code below) will only display the first item in the Dynamic Named Range when the user clicks on the pull-down arrow. The Named Range is consistent in size (4 cells) for each of the selection options in ComboBoxDay1. why only the first of four options are displayed in the second combobox?
Also, when a selection is made in the first combobox, the second combobox immediately displays the first item in the Dynamic Named Range (the one selection option it allows). I would prefer for it to remain blank until the user has selected an item from the pull-down list.

Userform ListBox Within Range To Add Addition Row Within Range Restriction
Apr 28, 2014I can’t seem to add the “Insert New row” or where to add or maybe I’m not even doing it right. I have a worksheet with 4 column and need to only function in these columns as I have information doing something else.
In Column A, B, C and D are my main column for the following functions:
Column A will act as titles
Column B will act as sub titles (There can be multiple sub titles withing the same title, needs to be added on an as when requirement)
Column C will act as possition (There can be multiple position withing the same sub Title, needs to be added on an as when requirement)
Column D will act as sub position (There can be multiple sub position withing the same Position, needs to be added on an as when requirement)
All columns will react to what is in Column A. I have the following code for column A:

This will look in my next available row to see if it is a blank row then add my information from my userform listbox.
I have tried to add the same procedure to my column B but don’t even come close to what I need in this function.
I need that when I double click my sheets cell in accordance to the following code:
[Code] ....
...to show my userform then to add the information but only to look in Column A to D and not pass this column.
I have added a Workbook to add the other information has it could get long to actually explain but to quickly explain:
I will need to add a title (already set up with a userform, listbox and on click of this listbox it will transfer the information to my sheet) This will look in my Column A to see where is my next available blank row and add the listbox value to it. If I double click column B, next to the columns A title, I need to add this information on the next available blank row but to create a Insert new row as there could be addition information going in column A or B and so on... I presume it will be the same code for C and D as this has to function the same way.

Combobox Addition To Rowsource In Dynamic Named Range Corrupting Table
Aug 10, 2014My Userform with combobox entries for product checks against the rowsource and if not on the list, is added to the list. the list is a named range in a Table that is used in a data model.
No matter which way I try I am regularly getting a corruption in the table that is home to the named range which is the rowsource... after one or two entries from the userform.
The rowsource is not bound to the worksheet, it is populated at userform_initialize procedure. (There are 4 combobox drawing from same rouwsource hence the loop through to check each)
debug points to the line at which conbobox value is being entered into the rowsource, though not always - it sometimes just crashes the whole file and everything needs restarting, upon which the table is fine and entry is evident.
I have tried resize, addrow to bottom of table variations and all result in the same core problem of a table corruption that crashes the file.

Namerange Cat1, Cat2, Cat3. All of the name range are different. I am trying to cut down on my Userform that have each a userform with combobox selection.
Frmcat1, frmcat2 frmcat3.
I need to simplify my life. I need that if the user selects anything between F5:F20 to generate the userform and select range Cat1. If the user Select G5:G20 then to generate Cat2 and so on...
So on userform Initialize look if the user is in Column F, is yes then Cat1. If user in Col. G then Cat2 and final if user is in Col H to have Cat3 generate in the combobox.

In order to make maintainence of the combobox's as easy as possible I'd like the look up as many cells as possible, therefore anyone can easily add additional text to go into the user forms. However I don't want the blank spaces to show until something has been added.

But when I use this named range in the RowSource of a combo box in a userform, I only get the first column of data, or basically, the data in B1, but not C1, D1, ect. Also I have a Userform with 2 ComboBoxes named "ComboBox1" and "ComboBox2". Values in ComboBox1 is "Pull my pants", "Eat my shorts", "Socks for everyone".
What I would like to do is to search though column A and look for any of these textstrings in my selection in ComboBox1 and return the value from column B in column C.
Example: "Pull my pants" is selected in ComboBox1 then the value "pants" should be found in column A and value in column B (25) should be entered in cell C2.
I am fairly new to VBA and have spend hours searching Google and found some formulas like InStr and VLookup. My problem is that I am not sure if these statements will do the job and how to combine them.

I copied and pasted Column A into Column C and then removed duplicates. I named Column C 'ValList' and placed it in the RowSource for ComboBox1. What I now want is for ComboBox2 to populate based on my selection in ComboBox1. There are no duplicates in Column B. Duplicates are in Column A.
I also named Column A 'Proc_Grp' and Column B 'ADA_QSI_Desc'
For the properties in Combobox2, I left the RowSource empty. (that's correct right?) Because there's going to be a code that links Combobox2 to Combobox1... I think...

Nov 11, 2006having trouble with the details of actually making these features work for me. I figured out how to create a UserForm with a ListBox and 2 buttons, but I don't know how to proceed from here.
1. Populate the ListBox in the UserForm with a list of names from the sheet "Totals_Dropdowns", cells K2:K11
2. Make the UserForm pop up and enter the user's selection into cell C40 of the "Regenerate Request"
I know these are very basic operations, and I'm pretty sure I can figure out the rest of my problems once I can get past the above.
