Filling In Header Dates Dynamically In One Column In Exported Canned Report

So I have exported a canned report showing me payments by day and it is EXACTLY what I need EXCEPT the dates don't repeat (and it has spaces and some headings but those aren't a big issue). Anyway, I need to dynamically fill in these dates for an entire year.
To be clearer, column A starts off with 1/1/2013 and column B has payment amount, column C check number, D invoice number etc.
But the rest of the cells in Column A for 1/1/2013 after the first row are blank until you hit the payments for 1/2/2013. Then 1/2/2013 is listed once and then blank (or junk header data at a page break) until 1/3/2013 and so on. And of course there are different numbers of payments for each day.
I'm looking to dynamically fill in the dates so that I have a real data /flat file that analysis can be run on. I have some ideas ... Could probably incorporate a "do until" statement somehow...

I have a sheet that pulls hundreds of names with a query. These names are ordered by department and each department prints (in gridded table format) on a separate sheet of paper. I would like to set it up to add additional empty rows to the bottom of each table if there is any space available on the page. I'm clueless how to go about it, though...

I've got a basic handle on the application/use of macros, & personally use them for cleaning up data exported from a very very old as400esq application.
My problem is that i have managed to clean up all the blank data & piffle, but Im stupped by the header part of the text dump.
Heres an example;

I basically want to rid the header rows from the spreadsheet & drop the header description (Header A/ Header B) into column F for all those items below until you get to the next header.

I have an excel sheet containing data as given below, wherein we receive certain report from each department on monthly basis and the same is mentioned as received against each month under header column. We need to remind the department about non receipt of report for particular months which contain empty cells. Macro is required to generate the report of empty cells mentioning the months against each department.

I've been trying find an appropriate formula to extract the column header from a table in a different sheet if the row header and value in that table is known.
in the lookup table the row titles (column A) are product codes, column titles (row 2, D through AX) are business names and the table values are quantity.
In a different table I have product codes in column A and in column B i have the max number/quantity of products for that code. In column C i want to put the company name associated with the product and the number/quantity.

I added an attachment with an example. You will see a matrix, with in the most left column an ID, then the headers of the matrix has different numbers that mean something.
What I want to do is, you fill in a number in the combobox, then press on a button and a report will be made on a new worksheet. With a list of the numbers and dates in the matrix that the ID has. Like shown in the example sheet in the workbook.

I am new at excel and have very limited experience. I have a employee training database, with employees (in column A2:A54) and the certification names (in row A1:AS1) that I must generate a monthly report on employees that are expiring within the current month. The cells are already conditionally formatted to change colors for one month prior to expiration date, current month of expiration date, and past the expiration date.
I am manually gathering the data then adding it to another sheet. In the mist of trying to gather data, I am missing and/or overlooking information. I wanted to know if there is a way to automatically generate a report based on the expiration dates that would pull the employees name and which certification is expiring or expired, preferable both. I have tried reading threads and applying advanced filters but due to the number of certifications it is not functional to do it this way.

I can generate from my hotel software a list that includes the check in and checkout date for a room- and the number of nights for the stay, and the total dollar amount of that stay. if anyone is willing to look what I have so far, I am attaching the smallest sample set of data I can generate and have it useful
and I have succeded in using vlookup succesfully to transfer the net room amount onto the first night of each stay on the grid.
worksheet "export tape chart" is the data generated by my hotel software-
(except for Col a-- I use this for my two way vlookup match)
I can reorder the output as needed for vlookups & offsets
worksheet "first night rate total NA" is where I have pulled the total room rate into the first night of the stay in a grid
worksheet "first night rate total clean" is just a simple cleanup of the first pulling for iserror.........

I must produce a report that details elapsed time between two dates and times.
The duration can span a number of days, I need to report just the elapsed working time, I can calculate the days with "NETWORKDAYS" but how can I calculate only the elapsed working time 08:00 to 17:00?

I have a worksheet (A) similar to the following:
Jan '12, Feb '12, Mar '12 --> Header Row
-5, 10, 2
6, -2, 3
5, -2, -1
I have another worksheet (B) with the same header Row (Jan '12, Feb '12, Mar '12). I need to create formula in cell A2 on worksheet B (right under Jan '12) that dynamically locates the Jan '12 column in worksheet A and then sums the numbers in that column only if they are < 0.
So in cell A2 on worksheet B (under Jan '12) I'd have -5 (only -5 is < 0), in cell B2 on worksheet B (under Feb '12) I'd have -4 (-2 + -2) and in cell C2 on worksheet B (under Mar '12) I'd have -1.
I've tried several variations of sumproduct, sumif, index, etc. with no luck.

I want to be able to have a macro that will compare one cell to the rest of the cells in a collum. I have used the COUNTIF() formula and it's getting on my nerves a bit because it seems as though everytime i sort the data, it totally messes up the formula (as in it changes the cell refernces to seemingly randomly generated numbers, but that is a different matter! lol). here is the formula, and it will be followed by the formula that is in the cell directly below it: =COUNTIF(F2:F65536, F2) and the one below it: =COUNTIF(F2:F65536, F3). Only one number needs to change, but when i fill down in excell, it wants to add one to every number, even when i click COPY cells... oh well. So i want to write this macro that will do just that. That way, it has fixed reference parameters e.g. F2:F65536, and one variable parameter e.g. F2, F3, F4 and so on. I'm not too savvy with this whole VBA stuff... the university insisted that everyone uses C++ nowadays, lol. I would like this macro to output its data into an adjacent cell ex. if F2 was compared, the data will be placed in H2.

In the attached sample workbook I am trying to add the vendor number down the column H for each PO. I have copied a few of the numbers into the column, (in red), to show the desired result.
Basically, I will have a report daily with a variable number of suppliers, and variable PO's for each supplier. I need to add the vendor # to each row.

I have a column of data with various values and a bunch of blank spaces. Essentially I want to leave the values as is but fill in the blank cells with a number. I’ve written a loop to do this in VBA, which grabs the value in the cell above, but it’s somewhat slow. Is there a more efficient way to do this?

I have a worksheet that has a column labeled "Sort Order". It is always the farthest, right-hand column. I also have a macro that sorts and re-numbers the data in that column.

I am trying to write a formula where the column header of the row in which a value other than 0 exists, will display for each instance (row) where a value exists in an array spanning 3 columns. So the result cell could be any of the three column headers, or a combination thereof.
I started the formula in P2 of the GL Detail-2012 tab. File attached.

I am trying to auto-fill a column based on certain criteria - in other words, fill in blank cells based on a cell above, just a little more complex version. I have added an attachment to give everyone a visual of what I am describing and then maybe this explanation will make a little more sense.
First, if you open the attachment, the left hand side is a small example of what I have. The middle is the condition. And the right hand side is what I'd like to see happene.
In the example, I am matching up a time and when I hit that time, I am adding on a certain number of miles per hours based on the condition and the cell above. Meanwhile, I am filling in the blank cells with the condition until the condition changes. So a cell is incremented based on the condition and gets its value from the cell above.

I have a spreadsheet that will eventually consist of tens of thousands of rows. Several columns contain formula's. Rather than having to "highlight" a cell and then "drag" all the way down the column over thousands of rows before finally using the "fill down" function I am needing a method to short cut this process?
Is there a function that allows you to, say, nominate a range of cells that you can fill down over? For example, starting from the last row with data entered into it down to say row 12500 i.e. D22:D12500.

I have 6,000 rows of check detail. The check number is listed in both columns B & C.
If the check paid multiple invoices the check number is not repeated in columns B & C.
I would like to fill the cells in those columns with the appropriate check number. Data looks something like this-

I have the following sample data set and I'm trying to return the appropriate column header based on criteria (i.e. DDD) and a number value which will be somewhere within the range of the table. In example below, the value returned should be Header 2 because the value is greater than those in Header 1 column (range H9 to L26).

This works, UNLESS "My Column Header" is the last column, or second to last column, then it jumps left two columns, instead of landing on the correct column.
The purpose of this script is to select a cell directly in that column that I was searching for.

I have two worksheets. One that contains material pricing and another that has misc data, formulas, etc. I have 100 rows of data with 2 columns. Column A I have numerical values. Column B I have a formula =(A1/36.4)*sheet1!C7. I try to drag down the formula but the value for sheet1!c7 changes as I go down (sheet1!c8 then sheet1!c9 and so on). How can I drag down the formula and have the SINGLE value from worksheet 1 carry to all rows?
