Link Drop Down List & Lookup Corresponding Information

I'm trying to categorise a load of expenses against their appropriate budget and sub-budgets. I've got all the budget subcategories in separate dynamic named lists each headed by the main budget name. I want to be able to select the main budget name e.g. marketing or sales etc and then see, in the next column over, only the appropriate subcategories to select from e.g pick the appropriate dynamic list (I've used dynamic lists so I have some flexibility to add new categories at a leter date).

I created a drop down list of contacts for specific accounts:
Primary
Second
Third
Fourth
When I click on each one, I want in adjacent individual cells their name, address, phone, and email. The results should only show up in the same row as per list choice.
This drop down list applies to 20+ accounts so each contact info corresponds to the accounts.
A E F G H I
So: Account... Contact Name Address Phone Email
(DropList)
And do that for all the accounts.

I have a 5 row list in WA2. Each row holds its data across 3 columns i.e A1description, B1 product code, C1 unit cost. In WA1 I want to have a drop down table in cell B3 that looks at this range and then populates this information into B3, C3 and C4. I have tried data validation but it keeps telling me that it can only look at a single row or single column

I am working on a worksheet. I have the first tab at the bottom and that sheet contains all my data, and the additional tabs moving on the bottom are portions of that data for clarity. What i have on the primary sheet is 5 columns ( Name(A), Total(B), Tax(C), Amount(D), Date(E)) and being the master lists everything. I can add a filter to choose the name i want and naturally that only shows the relevant data for that name. What i want to do on the second tab along the bottom which is only relevant for the name i have chosen, their own sheet if you like is to be able to extract the data from the master sheet on a periodical basis. For example I have the same data that i need to show (including some additional stuff that manually include) and i will need to include Total, Tax, Amount and Date columns. What i want is to be able to have a drop down list in the cells below the Date column so that when i select the date it automatically completes the Total, Tax, Amount information that is shown on the primary sheet. So Total will be A column through to Date in D column and changing the date in column D will populate A to C with the data automatically.

I am making a spreadsheet for food and calories, On sheet one i have a meal tracker, I want to have a drop down list in colum 1 that references the food list on sheet 2, column A=food, column B=Protien, column C=Carbs, column D=fat. The values from Sheet 2 columns B-D would then be inserted into Sheet A in the respective slots. I have fiddled with vlookup and tried numerous things but I can't seem to figure this out.

I am trying to create a quotation spreadsheet and want the drop down list to contain the materials but once a selection is made in the drop down list, i want other cells to be accordingly populated with data stored on another worksheet within the workbook.
The source of the drop down list is material and i need other cells to be populated with the adjacent data.
Here is a small list i have at present, which will be much larger when completed.
MATERIAL 20mm 30mm
Absolute Black £62.15£83.30
Absolute Black Premium£71.65£96.10
African Red £58.20£78.00
So if the selection in the drop down list is African Red then it should accordingly populate other cells with the values £58.20 and £78.00. Please help as i have tried many sources elsewhere but without any luck and this would be very benficial.

I have a drop down (look up list) labeled Equipment that retrieves information from another sheet in my workbook.
I have a second field labeled Equipment Sub Type where I need a drop down list based on the information retrieved in the Equipment Field.
Each item in the Equipment List Drop Down has a corresponding list in my lookup sheet of my workbook.

I'm trying to create a drop down list which returns values based on what has been selected in the previous drop down list in the adjacent cell, e.g. if 'Apples' is selected in the previous cell then you should only be able to select from 'Gala, Granny Smith', or if 'Oranges' is selected you should only be able to select 'Seville, Blood Orange'. Is there a formula which would do this, or can I use a pivot table somehow? I'm totally stumped.

I need to have a drop down list which displays a different set of values depending upon the value selected by a previous drop down list. ie. (drop down box 1)= x, y, z. (drop down box 2)= either x1, x2, x3, or y1, y2, y3, or z1, z2, z3. I can produce a single drop down box thats not a problem but linking several drop down boxes is beyond me .

I currently have a drop down menu in one of my worksheets, in which I have several different text values entered. What I would like to do is link each of those text values to a numerical value, which would be entered in to another cell. So if I select "Option A" from my drop down list, and Option A is equal to 200, I want "200" to show up in another cell. If I select "Option B" from my drop down list, and Option B is equal to 400, I want "400 to show up in that same other cell.

I have a drop down box in column N, however I would like the options in that drop down box to change depending on what appears in column M.
If column M Says "Lapse" then I want one drop down box to appear in column N, If coumn M says "NTU" then I would like column N to show different drop down options.

I need to link information between two sheets.
In Sheet2 I have a list of products with their description in adjacent columns such as prices and other information. Sheet1 is a MasterSheet of some of the products listed in Sheet2. So I would like to write a macro that links the information of the product from Sheet2 to Sheet1 if I type the products name in Sheet1 (MasterSheet). The list of products (Sheet2) is updated in a regular basis, so by linking the info I would just need to update Sheet2 and Sheet1 would update as well.

I've used queries for years so I know how they work, for the most part...copying data from the source and spitting it into a spread
What I am looking to do is copy the actual link information from a web page when I query that page.
In other words, there are links on a page I'm querying and I'd like not only the displaying text link, but the underlying link itself.
Example: I have a link to a project being done and query the page the project information is on. But I'd also like to later get information on the companies associated with that project. A link to the company information is on the project page.
Is there a way to extract this information via a query? Or is it going to take a php script served online or something...

I have 2 drop down lists made, but I want to have one linked to the other

For example the first list has types of wood in it.

Oak
The 2nd one has pricing in it.

3.50
If I click on Bamboo - I want the 2nd list to auto generate 3.50. Can that
be done?

I made drop down form controls that specify yes/no as to whether I have the documents I need for a project- when I selected yes the same row will turn grey. Each form control is set to move/resize with its cell, so it stays on top of the cell. I have the drop down form set to cell link to the cell below it in the form control settings. So it would be over cell A1 and the value of 0/1/2/ would be entered into A1. However whenever I copy the cell/row, the new form control drop down does not update its cell link by relative positioning, the new cell link is also A1 – thus both drop downs are linked together. I do NOT put absolute referencing $A$1 so I don’t know why the new copied forms don’t update and point to B1?
Why doesn’t my drop down menu update its cell link position when I copy and paste the cell it is attached to? Can form controls update their cell links via relative references (that is without the $$)?

I have 6 worksheets that are identical cosmetically. Each has the same drop down box list with the same name (dropdown1), however the cell link on each sheet is different. (ie. sheet1 dropdown1 cell link refers to a sheet ' lookup' cell $K$1, sheet2 dropdown1 cell link refers to sheet 'lookup' cell $K$2, etc.) I have the same command button in each sheet that performs the same task so I wanted to keep one module for all 6. Problem is I set a variable to the cell link in the code, and this has to be changed.
DropDownValue = Sheets("Lookup").Range("K1").Value
Is there any way I can set this variable using a property of the drop down list?
DropDownValue = dropdown1.celllink
I don't want to create 5 more duplicate modules just to change this one bit of code (I only use it this time in the code!). If there is no way to get the cell link value of the drop down, could I possibly put a worksheet change event on the lookup sheet to populate a certain static cell with the value of the last cell change?

However, I have got an Excel file which contains a lot of information. There are four sheets with large Pivot Tables.
But the thing is, the plan is to do the tables much larger, create tables which more specifically shows information. When doing so, the tables will show much more information, and therefore be much larger. It will be difficult to read and understand the tables because of the large amount of information.
What I want is to store information in, for example, another program such as Microsoft Access. There, I can put a huge amount of information and then link it to Excel, so that in Excel I only see the Access stored information when I "search" for it with y created slicers. Like, when I use my slicers and click on one category it sort out and shows me the information i want, even though it's stored in Access. It only shows it in Excel when I "ask" for it. This is what I have thought.

I have inserted the sheet. As you can see in Sheet 1 I have the Store, Address, Town etc, I would like a drop down box in D13 ( Store Name ) so when I select a store it will automatically fill all the info into D15:D19 Address, Town etc. The info will be pulled from Sheet 2.

I have a Excel Spread Sheet which has been created, there will be 4 people in 4 different locations who will have access to this spreadsheet and will need to update/amend it through "Dropbox", my question/problem is, how can I link the 4 spreadsheets where information will be updated by one person, but will update all 4 sheets at the same time.

I am trying to build a stock watchlist in excel 2007 with a dynamic link to a DDE server (paid for).There is no add-in or plug-in, I just CTL ALT & drag each code from a watchlist in the program I am using and place it in a cell, however can only choose one data field at a time. There are 14 data fields and over 150 codes in my list which makes 2100 cells. (My guess is about 3 days work)
I would like to just enter the stock code in say column A (A3) and with each DDE data field (e.g. lastprice, open, cose, high etc) entered in subsequent columns have it lookup the stock code in cell A3 and return the correct value based on the code in column A, rather than entering each cell individually.
Is it possible to write a macro or vba code to create the cell formula so I can just fill down and save myself 3 days work?
The DDE server I am using is formatted like this:
PROGRAMNAMElDATAFIELD!STOCKCODE
example
MISDATAlLASTPRICE!BHP.ASX
I thought I might be able to do something like the following, but it doesn't seem to work.
MISDATAlLASTPRICE!$A3
Note: The DDE server can only be accessed while the other program is running and is password protected

I have named six different sets of data with six different names. I have a drop down box that lists these six different names. When I select one of the names from the drop down box, I would like the lookup I have off of this to change to what ever set of data the drop down selection is referring to. Example: I have my first data set named "Data_A", next "Data_B", etc... When my drop down selects "Data_E", i would like my Hlookup equation to change to HLookUp(a1,Data_E,3,false). Is this possible, or am I doing something wrong?

I would like it to count how many website sales the product has and return the product name in order of number of website sales into the top ten list at the bottom.

I am trying to create a fairly simple spreadsheet with about 8 columns and about 400 rows. One of the columns features a drop-down list with about 8 or 9 different options. Dependant on which option is selected, i would like the entire row to change colour with that option.
For example:
FAILED - whole row changes red
SUCCESSFUL - row has no fill
Tested - row changes to orange
etc.
Is this possible within Excel 2003?

I have 4 sheets from sheet1 to sheet3, I typed code date and quantity which the code has 5 columns. In sheet 4 I have defined dropdown in I2 Cell(yellow fill) which has all code fromsheet1 to sheet3. So my purpose is that in sheet 4 I want to select code in I2 cell then it will appear in code column date and quantity automatically for the last cell of date and quantity. Note: I'm looking only the last cells when I select the code in dropdown.

I have two columns B and C - In column B are the names of people. (12 names in this list) and in column C is a number from 1 - 4 (each person is in either team 1, 2, 3 or 4)
I have a drop down list in Column A which links to a small table (1 2 3 and 4) so the user can choose which team. I need a formula to then list the members of that team, when it has been selected.
I was using a Vlookup command, but this only works for the first person on the list, if i drag the formula down, it is still the same person. I need to show a list of all the members of that team.

I'm trying to find out how I get a cell to automatically find a code based on the selection of a drop down menu. If drop down menu selction is Rent I want the cell to automatically find the code for rent 61100. It's a large selection that will grow alot bigger than it currently is so needs to also have growing room.? I can't seem to find any answers on here already that seem to work on this, (or understanding them is maybe my fault). I've attached the sheet
