Paste Text Into Filtered Area?

I have a workbook that users can make changes to a simple table and when they push a "Save" button the raw data in the back end is filtered and overwritten with their change. I only want them to change part of the raw data that has been filtered, starting in column G.

I have everything built and working up to selecting the filtered row column G where I want to paste. Their changed data is copied, the raw data filter's on a unique ID and then I'm stuck!

I have this code in there now however it's forgetting I want the visible entry not row 2:

Cut And Paste Only Visible Cells In Filtered Area

I have a data of a large no. of rows with 5 columns. The last 2 columns are district and state. As it is an imported data, in some rows the data has shifted a column, i.e. the name of state is being shown in district column and name of district is being shown in the column to its left. I tried filtering the data such that it shows only those rows where names of the states are coming under district columns and then selecting the whole thing, cutting it and pasting it to the rightmost column. But even the correct district entries got pasted under state column. Undo, the further damage was controlled, but the original problem remains. Now i will have to cut and paste each row or only consecutive rows.

Macro To Search For Text And Paste Data In Other Area?

I have a report that runs, and it shows users that are in different groups. Within each group are primary users, and sometimes secondary users. Attached is a spreadsheet showing an example of the report in "A7:A52"

What I want to do is have a macro scan column A, and if a group is found, create what I have made in the rest of the spreadsheet (CD6 and below). I manually filled in the data for group 1, and would like it to continue off to the right in the same format.

There are some areas that dont have groups, such as there might be group 1, group 2, and then nothing till group 10 (as shown in the example)

i have a huge table which i've filtered for a value in a column. my data has been reduced from 20000 to 100.

how can i copy and paste ONLY the values for those 100 rows? (4 columns and 100 rows)

everytime i do it, it copies all 20k rows!

Paste Area Too Large

i am trying to first of all find the column that Alias appears in the first 3 rows and then paste that entire column to a new sheet.
most is working.

however i get an error 1004 saying the area i am pasting to is not large enough or the wrong shape.

I'm trying to paste the column that my code found into the blank cell C18, which may change in the future, but I got an error that I need to select the cell to paste the column to - I'm not getting the code right. Here's what I've tried:

This is the code that I tried when I got the paste error:

and the error was: Run-time error '1004'
We can't paste because the Copy area and paste area aren't the same size.

Try one of the following:
Click one cell, then paste.
Select a rectangle that's the same size, then paste.

Once I paste the column that excel found, I want to go to the next column and paste the found column into the cell C19 - which may change in the future and so on until all the found columns with 2014 in them are pasted.

If i filter to red and copy cells A1 and A4 and paste into column B, instead of pasting it into cells B1 and B4 it pastes it into B1 and B2...

How do i get it to paste on the same row?

My sheet im working with has thousands of rows, some need to be pasted, others need to be left as they are

Trying to paste filtered results except header row. My code below pastes the header row for "Details" 2x. I tried altering the row to row 2, but that caused incorrect results to be returned.

I am trying to create an operational dashboard and I have some List Boxes for which I am preparing the data. The Dashboard is separare worksheet and the calculations are done in several additional sheets. The results, based on the chosen values, are updated in the Dashboard sheet in an area starting with column AO and can be like $AO$4:$BR$37, then $CA$4:$DD$37, and so on: total 6 or seven areas.

I would like to paste one area at the time (with all formats, including font, values, borders, merged cells, etc.) into the “physical” dashboard – the visual area on the screen. I do not want to make this operation manually; shall be automatically.

Avoiding Copy And Paste In Hidden / Filtered Cells

I have searched all over and read many solutions for selecting only visible cells and copy pasting them or formatting them by doing Ctrl + G and selecting visible cells only. However the problem is once I select visible cells only, it seems that every time I do Ctrl + C on filtered Range it only selects visible cells. I want a way to toggle this setting in Excel. I'm using Office 2007. For example: if I want to select the entire range, both hidden and visible cells within the selected table array, is there anyway to reverse or toggle the setting that causes Excel to refresh the "visible cells only" setting back to default or all cells?

It would be a much faster way than to remove all filters, select & copy entire range, and then re-apply all filters again.

Code 'To Invoice' Copy The Filtered List, And Paste On Sheet

I have recorded a macro to filter data on sheet 'To Invoice' copy the filtered list, and paste on sheet 'Invoice' in C16.

The code just keeps looping (not looping in a code sense, it just seems to keep flickering the screen like its going over & over) until it locks up 5-10 seconds-ish and then I have to re-start Excel.

The range B2:E22 is not always populated, it could possibly be B2:E2 (one row), I dont know how to copy the exact data so I expanded the range to what I think would capture any eventuality....

Copy/Special Paste Data Within A Range To Next Empty Cell Then Mark The Copied Area

I'm trying to find a macro that will copy data from the areas of B120:E179 and I120:K179 for example (linked to another worksheet within the workbook) and special paste (Values Only and skipping blank cells) it to the next available open cell up top where basic data entry will be taking place B10:E29 and I10:K29. I need it to only copy/paste the rows with data (skipping all cells/rows with no data) and once it is finished coping I will need it to place an "X" in column M next to the row that it copied data from. I would also need it to reference the data in each row from B to E and if there is an entry say on B14 to E14 that matches it but if I10 to E29 are blank then paste that information on row 14. If it does not match or if those columns are full then paste on next available line.

I hope I'm making sense here. This is for a vehicle tracking log between checkpoints. Each driver and info will be listed on each row. Columns B through E will contain information for each driver: name, badge, #passengers, and vehicle #. The log lists location, time, and destination for outgoing travelers in columns F to H. Incoming info is listed on Columns I to K............

Text Box Or Cell Area Updating

I have two sheets in my workbook. One named singledump and the other individualfileselect.

Within single dump i have daily data loaded with certain cells containing comments added for that day of the week.

E.g. Tuesday 3000

Below average clearances, we will look in to this further throughout the week.

What i would like to do is have either a text box area of just simply one cell updating with a the first comment from the week and to then have two buttons back and forward allowing the user to click and the cells will update for the next comment that week or go back to the comment before.

How would i be best going about this? To be honest i would prefer to keep away from text boxes and would be happy with just the two buttons scrolling through specified ranges to update a cell on individualfileselect sheet.

From the research I've done, it seems that pivot tables do not support text in the values area, period.

Quite a bit of work has gone into aggregating this data, and it's so close, but the text fields are showing 0.

Have a look. Double-clicking on cell C5 (sheet 1) drills down into the individual record. Cell E2 (sheet 4) contains the text value I need--"Not Stated".

Is there any quick workaround to get this text value to showup in cell C5 of the pivot table?

Macro To Copy And Paste Auto Filtered Data To Existing Worksheet Below Previous Data

I have been working on a macro that compares a existing list of data to an updated list of data and then either moves any data not on the new list over to a completed tab (followed by deleting the record on the existing sheet), and then adds any items not on the existing sheet, but which appear on the new list, to the existing list.

I have come across a stumbling block, i have managed to identify on the existing list the rows of data that have been removed from the new list and therefore need to be moved over to the completed tab, but when i select the data it selects the header row aswell (which will always remain the same row). Obviously this then pastes the header row aswell, and also i can't seem to get it to paste in the new sheet to the next available row (i.e this will be used daily and i don't won't to overwrite the infor already in the completed tab). the next issue i have is then when i go back to existing sheet to delete the data i just copied across, as the header was initially select this also gets deleted.

The code below, is the complete code, including filtering, copying some forumals etc. The area i am getting stuck on is highlighted in red:

Subtotal On Filtered Row That Has Comma Separated Text In Column

I have a column A1 that consists of a range of values separated by a comma.

row 1:value 1, value 2, value 3, value 4
row2: value1, value 4
Row 3: value 2, value3

I want to get the unique counts for each value in the filtered list. This one field is not filtered but the others in the table are so I only want the counts of value 1-4 when the entire list is filtered.

I have been able to accomplish this with individual values using the following formula:

Need macro that changes the text in a particular field. Previously, the column to change was column 46 (AT), but now the column is column 1 (A). If I adjust the last line and run the macro, I get this error message: "Compile error: Invalid or unqualified reference".

Copy/paste Macros Will Not Copy Filtered Items

The following sub will look in the file ("FY09 SOF"), in column "A", search for the strings that begin with "2109", "3009", or ends in "-1", and copy the entire row. It will then paste these in the file ("FY09 PR Log Blank").

I have found that in the file ("FY09 SOF"), if things are filtered in any row, it will not copy those necessary items.

The data filter is on row 13 of each sheet. Is there a way of fixing this? (i.e. having the macros select "all" on the filter before copying the sheet? There are 60 sheets so a macros will be necessary.
