I have the following Macro to transpose data from a column into succesive rows. I need it to repeat, until it has processed all data in column A / until it reaches an empty cell in A.
I would like click in cell a6 and then click a button loaded with VBA code that would:
1. Offset over 2 and down 1 to c7 so that is the current cell 2. Repeat down until an empty cell is reached (our example will be c10) 3. Put the items found in c7, c8, c9 into a variable (is that right?)
Variable would then be used in a vba generated email that I have all ready to go. I would want each item placed in the email one after the other like:
I have a Sheet sheet1 and I want to run a macro when the cell D2 in Sheet1 is equal to 10,7,5,and 3. I only want this macro to run when those values are reached the macro then puts the data onto a sheet called wps. The macro is run as a module and is a sub macro.
how do I write a Do Loop so it will repeat the below until row A is empty? I want the sheets to be added and named based on what someone enters on a data input sheet. i.e. if there are 5 rows with data, then it will create 5 sheets named accordinlgy.
I need to repeat the following copy past macro the number of times equal to the value in column B and repeat the process for rows 3 through 27. It would end up being a loop with in a loop. The data in C3:H3 will be pasted onto the "Fixt#" sheet as many times as the value in column B3. The idea is to create an individual entry on the "Fixt#" sheet for each row on the "Totals" sheet.
Code: Sub Create_Fixt_SheetI() ' ' Create_Fixt_Sheet Macro ' ' Range("C3:H3").Select Selection.Copy Sheets("Fixt#").Select ActiveSheet.Range("B" & Rows.Count).End(xlUp).Offset(1).Select ActiveSheet.Paste Application.CutCopyMode = False End Sub
On Sheet1, I have a list of names in Column A, with a corresponding value in Column B
NAME VALUE
Alpha 3
Beta 2
Gamma 1
Delta 2
On Sheet2, I have a list of items that need to be assigned based on the values on Sheet1 (Assign to column would be blank, filled in by the macro/formula)
ITEM ASSIGN TO
1 Alpha
2 Alpha
3 Alpha
4 Beta
[code]....
best way to automate the data on Sheet2? The items can be assigned in any order, it just needs to match the count on Sheet1.
Is there any code to pop up a message each time a cell value is not reached. For ex if the resulted formula in A1 is less than 0 to pop up a message "LOOSE"
I'm a business/application consultant for ERP software, and generally pretty solid when it comes to excel. However, I've come across a question for a personal sheet that I can't seem to solve.
In my personal budget worksheet, I'd like to set a budget on a cell-by-cell basis. When the budget is hit, I'd like the text color (or cell color) to change.
I.E. Cell D14 has a budget of $200. When I enter $200 in the cell, the text turns from black to red. I've searched through google with no luck. I have mildly searched this forum, but haven't found my direct answer - I have come pretty close though, in other languages
I want to Freeze my Header Row (A16 to T16) on my spreadsheet but I can't seem to get it to freeze. I wanted to have it freeze when that row reached the Top of the page but all I can do is freeze it and the 15 rows above it. Can one row be made to be visible at all times? I don't think so as I asked this question before but thought I would start by asking it again...
Now my workaround for that was to put the header row at the top of the page as well and freeze it. This works but when you initially open the spreadsheet it look weird because you see a header row on top and one 15 rows below it.
My question is is there a way to hide row 1 until a specific cell becomes active and then the code can undide the row? I want row one to become visible when the user gets to cell A41. Does anyone know how I can accomplish this or do you have any other suggestions for me to try?
I have a number of dates (columns) and under each date there is the demand value (Rows). Also, i have a column that has the current inventory. what im trying to do is to keep on adding the demand in one row (i.e multiple dates) until the sum just exceeds the inventory. After that, i would like to return sum the date at which we stopped adding. the point of this excercise is to see at which month will our inventory deplete according to the demand. Below is an example solved by hand.
The macro I have is looping all sheets looking for empty cells in a specific column, and when it founds an empty cell the value for one cell is copied to the empty cell.
But in one worksheet it stops with the error:
Run-time error '1004' Application-defined or object-defined error
We need to reach a cell value by using increment of another cell value. But ideally the results will all be in one cell.
Now to make it a little more advance there could be an overhang of the board in A3 which would need to be deducted from the first increment.
Example :
A1 = 5193mm (Lenght of beam) A2 = 600mm (Width of board) A3 = 200 (Overhang) A4 = 400 - 1200 - 1800 - 2200 - 2800 - 3400 - 4000 - 4600 (End Result, The formula wont do the next sum as it exceeds A1)
Of course the vaules of A1 and A2 will vary but that shouldnt make any difference to the formula.
We have a form that requires descriptive comments to be entered into several rows of merged cells. My goal is to have the form be able to automatically dropped down to the next row of merged cells when the current row of merged cells reaches a maximum number of characters.
And finally, the last row of merged cells would not allow any more characters than the maximum assigned but not advance to another cell automatically.
The rows I am working with specifically are: Merged Cells F23:R23; A24:R24; A25:R25; A26:R26;...A29:R29
I would like to have an alert msg to prompt the user whether he/she wan to proceed to run the macro upon the macro button is pressed. However the alert msg will only pop up if cell value, A1 is not empty. In the alert msg, The user will have an option to choose to run the macro and do not run the macro.
Another question. I have a macro copy some data from other workbooks. I would like to alway return to a worksheet, named"Summary" after the macro is run. any way to do that ?
Is this possible using code: Copy Cell A1 and Paste in first empty Cell down Column D. This would be connected to a command button. Both Cell A1 and Column D are on the same spreadsheet.
I have created a macro that copies the outcome of a specific calculation (that is driven by random numbers) and pastes it (as values) into a seperate table. It then recalculates the sheet, copies the new outcome and pastes it into the same table at a row beneath the previous one.
However, I would like to be able to determine how many times this loop is repeated (i.e. how many rows of outcomes will be generated) without having to change the macro each time. Is this possible? Maybe by just linking it to a cell where the number of outcomes/repeats is specified.
Sub del() Dim myRange As Range Set myRange = Range("AK3:AL3" & Range("AL" & Rows.Count).End(xlUp).Row) For i = 1 To myRange.Rows.Count If myRange(i, 1) >= myRange(i, 2) Then myRange(i, 1) = "" myRange(i, 2) = "" End If Next i End Sub
How do I add a condition that will stop the macro if myRange = ""/is empty?
I am trying to write a macro which searches for a certain value (*?CNMT_LBID) in my worksheet, then copies it, plus the two cells to the right of it, to the first empty cell in the row above.
I have got so far, but am now stuck! I am not sure how to specify the row above my current cell, and then find the next blank cell to paste into.
Also, I'm not sure if my code is correct, any corrections are welcome!
Sub Move_Data() ' Dim i As Integer 'for loop below Dim rng As Range 'Cell to start 'cut' from
'rng = cell containing "*?CNMT_LBID" Set rng = .Find(What:="*?CNMT_LBID", After:=ActiveCell, LookIn:=xlFormulas, _ LookAt:=xlPart, SearchOrder:=xlByRows, SearchDirection:=xlNext, _ MatchCase:=False, SearchFormat:=False) 'Loop to cut cells "*?CNMT_LBID" plus next two columns to the right, and place in empty cell in row above For i = 0 To 2 rng.Offset(0,i).Cut( ) Next
I have a workbook with 4 worksheets. I have a macro ( Cntrl + U ) that runs a series of steps and prints the results with it ending on the beginning page. This works well but I want it to repeat the macro until it reaches a blank cell on the starting page.
I want to create a macro to paste some data into the next empty cell. Below is sort of what I need but this show it going to a particular cell, I need it to got to next open cell in the range from say BY3. So next macro run it would copy and paste the data from T3:T9 (always this range) to BZ3 then CA3, CB3 and so on.
[[Sub CopyData()] ' ' CopyData Macro ' Copy The Data To Build Graph '
The following macro does well at concatenating 2 constant values and the values in columns A and CF and places it in the CP field. What I need to know is is it possible to modify this code so if there is NOT a CF field cell value (that is it is blank) that the formula does not run and moves on to the next row? That is, the CP1 cell remains blank?
