I need the information that is entered in a userform to be sent to a separate worksheet. Each time a user fills out the form, I would like the information to be documented on the next completely open row (ex. first form goes in row 2 (column headings are in row 1), second form goes in row 3, etc.). I don't know a ton when it comes to VBA, but I believe I have the code figured out to search for the next open row. Column A will always have data in it.:
Code:
dim currentrow as range
set currentrow=Range("A1").end(xldown).offset(1,0).entirerow)
What I can't figure out is how to insert the information to the correct columns. Each column has a header to it, and I would like the data from the userform to be put in the relevant column each time it is filled out.
For example, if column A's header was "First Name" and columm B's header was "Last Name", each time the form is filled out, I would like the first and last name (which was entered in the form) to be inserted into those columns (with each form entry on a separate row).
I think there might be a way to use the intersect method to find the row/column combination I'm looking for, but I'm not exactly sure how to do it. Using the first name example from above, it would basically look for the intersection of "currentrow" and column A, and insert the value that is entered into the userform.
I have used a database template from this site and changed it to suit my needs but I have a bit of a problem with some of the code. I know how to update the worksheet with the relevant userform text fields and in another project I did I have successfully sent userform text fields in the body of an email.
For this project I want to update the worksheet AND send an email at the same time. However, using the two pieces of code together is causing an error that I can't seem to solve (using my very limited vba knowledge!). The code I am working on is below and I have highlighted the line that is getting the error message. C
VB: Private Sub cmdSubmit_Click() 'Submit new record Dim ws As Worksheet, lRow As Long, Str As String [code]....
I am trying to make a "master" sheet where employees total calls for the day are recorded.
Each employee will be marking their calls each day which will be on an excel spreadsheet. i would like to then create a MASTER sheet that links to all the employees specific sheets so when they exit the sheet it updates the master, or it can be a live update if that is possible...
I need to count the number of unique text values in the first column given a condition in the 2nd column. For example, the formula that I'm looking for should give a result of "3" because it is an SME, and there are 3 unique companies that are classified as SMEs.
Company Name Company Type
Company A SME
Company B SME
(I cant seem to make the tables visible but Company A and Company D right below the header should be in one cell) This should still yield a value of "3" despite having Company A and D in the same cell.
I have a userform that enters data into a hidden sheet, and it works fine so far, but now one of my bosses would like another sheet that contains some lookup data for the form to be updated every time the form is used. I'm thinking I can handle the data in the lookup sheet automatically deleting the older data but I can't figure out how to send the data to two different sheets when the form is completed.
Private Sub CmdOK_Click() If MsgBox("Are You Sure This Form Is Complete?", vbYesNo) = vbNo Then Exit Sub Unload Me ActiveWorkbook.Sheets("Plant Production").Activate Range("A1").Select Do If IsEmpty(ActiveCell) = False Then ActiveCell.Offset(1, 0).Select End If Loop Until IsEmpty(ActiveCell) = True ActiveCell.Value = txtDate.Value ActiveCell.Offset(0, 51) = txtTime.Value ActiveCell.Offset(0, 1) = cmbPlant.Value..........................
I need to make a userform that will add data to table placed (for example G12:H12), and if G13:H13 cells are written to next cells below (G14:H14). I would also want to receive auto email noticiation (or notofications by pressing another command_button) that someone add data with copied content of (G13:H13...G14:H14....) cells in email body.
I have been working on my spreadsheet for sometime now, so far when I run into a code problem I can figure it out using someone eles's post. However, I can't seem to figure this one out. I need to send data from a userform to specific cells on my spreadsheet based upon the users selection in combobox 1, and textbox 1.
Example: User selects customer name from Combobox1, and part number auto loads into textbox1 from the data sheet.
There are then 11 combobox's that can be clicked as the userform is updated. Once the user is finished, I need the answers from each combobox to transfer to the worksheet next to the referenced Combobox1 and textobox1.
I used the code that RoyUk posted to him, but have only been able to get the first combobox to copy to the sheet, the rest stay blank.
(Here is the code so far)
Private Sub CommandButton2_Click() Dim ce As Range, srcRng As Range Dim sYear As String, sMonth As String
sYear = UserForm3.ComboBox1.Text 'When combobox1 is loaded, use as reference#1 sMonth = UserForm3.TextBox1.Text 'When textbox1 is loades, use as reference #2 Set srcRng = Range("c2", Range("c65536").End(xlUp)) 'Search range on worksheet For Each ce In srcRng
I have a multipage wizard like userform that for each page has check box selection choices a user can pick from. The sample I've attached uses animal attributes for 2 animals. What I'd like to have is code that populates the worksheet with the animal under consideration (determined by the Frame Caption) in say A5, then populates the attribute selections made starting in B5 with no blank rows in between if they chose not to mark a checkbox.
So for animal one on page 1 of the multipage form, if the user selected attributes 1, 3, 4, and 6 and clicked the "NEXT" button on that page, animal one appears in A5 and then those attribute selections would be in B5, B6, B7, and B8. If the user then selected for animal 2 on page 2 of the multipage form, attributes 2 and 6 and clicked the "NEXT" button on that page, then animal two would appear in A9 with the selections appearing in B9 and B10.
I should mention that the number of rows in Table 1 may grow (or shrink) row size with additional rows added (or deleted) by the user. Not sure if it matters.
I need to reference the projected and actual expenses from the total on worksheet 'expenses' So i did so, however, if I change the drop down on the expenses worksheet to only display housing data, then the projected and actual expenses on my budget worksheet changes as well to the new data portrayed on the expenses worksheet.
I need to reference the cell, without it changing when I change the category display, but I need the cell to change accordingly if I enter new data in the overall tablet on the expenses worksheet.
Or do I need to create a seperate worksheet that has the data in and reference my cells on my budget worksheet to that new worksheet?
I have a macro which copies worksheets from the current workbook and pastes into different csv files. I want to add into this macro after copying and pasting into the csv a popup box/form which asks the user "Would you like to e-mail to shops/teletext?". This box/form would have a Yes and No button.
If they press yes then the macro will continue and select worksheet 'selections' and send to recipients as attachment. If possible i would also like to automatically fill in the 'to' box in the new e-mail as these addresses will be the same three addresses each time. If they press 'No' then the macro would just carry on to the next point.
Im searching for a way to send a .PDF of 1 worksheet via outlook. I have seached the forum, and have tried to follow Ron De Bruin's web page on how to do this but fall short. Im currently using his code to send the excel sheet.
I have created a form for my work. And I have input boxes for users to add data that I would like to get stored in another worksheet. What is the vba code to send data for an input box to another worksheet at the bottommost empty row; first column.
Private Sub cmdAddData_Click()
' Collect user name, find the space between first and last names, and separate the names. UserName = InputBox("Enter the Program Name.", "Program Name") spaceLoc = InStr(1, UserName, " ") firstName = Left(UserName, spaceLoc - 1)
I have a userform created to enter clients information which by submitting goes to sheet1 ..
Now the challenge is i want to make sure that no duplicate entries are entered thru userform.
And if duplicate company name is entered then all the client details of the other fields of the userform shall display the values of previous entry so that i can edit the latest changes to the sheet.
I created a UserForm to populate client billing info and job location info (so it's a two-parter). A clicked button will then populate a spreadsheet with all of the information. That part works fine.
When the client billing info is the same as their job info, I'd like to offer a checkbox that will populate the job info with the billing info rather than having to type everything twice (like you see on online billing and shipping orders).
I'm trying to take a list of names from a worksheet and create in a userform a combobox that lists the names.
Private Sub Combo_Box_Leadoff_Click() Dim counter As Integer Combo_Box_Leadoff.Clear For counter = 3 To 16 Combo_Box_Leadoff.AddItem Worksheets(5).Cells(counter, 2).Value Next counter
In the properties window, I set the value equal to the first name in the list. The above code yields a combobox that is blank except for the value set in the properties window. When I do not set an initial value, I get a completely blank combobox. I'm pretty new to VBA, and I've manged to figure out all of the macros I need so far, but setting up the user form has proved surprisingly difficult.
The other day, someone sent me a spreadsheet with multiple worksheets. I needed to be able to send each worksheet to an individual for review, and each recipient did not need to see everyone else's sheet. So I found a tip on-line that included the following VBA code to save the sheets to separate Excel files. Life was good until those who didn't have Office 2007 could not open their sheets, even though the original file had been saved with the Excel 97-2003 option. They had first received the message, "The file you are trying to open, "<filename>" is in a different format than specified by the file extension. Verify that the file is not corrupted and is from a trusted source before opening the file. Do you want to open the file now?" When they said yes, all they saw was a scramble of machine code. I thought that maybe there was a special extension for Excel 97-2003 files, but when I looked it up in a book I have, it just said the extension was .xls, which is what the code used. Is there other formating that needed to be saved?
Sub Copy_Sheets_to_Separate_Workbooks() Dim ws As Worksheet For Each ws In ActiveWorkbook.Worksheets If ws.Visible = True Then ws.Activate ActiveSheet.Copy With ActiveWorkbook .SaveAs "C:Documents and Settingsruce.vanbibberMy DocumentsTITLE I - M A I NTitle I BudgetsAllocation Budgets - Schoolwide - FY 10" & _ InputBox("Please enter the Save As Name...", "Worksheet Save As") & ".xls" .Close End With End If Next ws End Sub
putting a macro button on an individual worksheet so the user can click a big easy button and a new email will pop up in Lotus notes with the worksheet attached for them to input the address and then send the worksheet..
I prefer to:
Send individual worksheets only
The ability to input the email address is the new composition email in LOTUS Notes
I have a userform that I use for data entry with lots of combo boxes, list boxes and text boxes
One thing i haven't cracked yet is to check for duplicates against two matching fields
If a user (for example) enters 'SAB' (which will be stored in column A) and then 'UK' (which will be stored in column B) and there is already an exact match for both, then I need to inform the user that a matching record already exists
The following is OK: (the dots below are meant to illustrate spaces between the columns!!) Col(A).....Col(B) SAB........UK SAB........USA SAB........Italy
I've have been building a UserForm for data entry into a stock demands system. One of the data entry items is a text box asking the data-inputter to complete a field containing the items drawing reference from the technical manual. The field can be quite long, and is often repeated for multiple items within the same drawing. Unfortunately, a ComboBox item would be have far to many items to make it useful, and so the TextBox item was preferred for this task.
My problem is that I need the TextBox to be able to recall/remember previous entries that have been saved to the data sheet in the workbook and the UserForm is cleared and closed down.
I've been trying to code this user form so that when the appropriate command button is pushed, the Inventory Number is populated the amount of times indicated by the "multiplier" number.
I haven't gotten very far successfully. Mostly runtime errors.
Here is a screen shot of my table, along with my non working code.
Private Sub cmdfront_Click() Dim iRow As Long Dim ws As Worksheet Set ws = Worksheets("Scanned")
I have an worksheet with a UserForm. On this UserForm is a ComboBox with the RowSource set to a named range called lVender. This ComboBox is setup to post & sort new entries into lVender apon exiting the ComboBox.
If a mistake is made and it is not caught before exiting the ComboBox, then I need a way to remove the bad entry from the lVender list.
I have included a small sample to better show the problem.
I have a user form with 10 textboxes on and when you press the command button, VBA will send the values in each text box to a cell on the sheet. If a user only wants to enter one value, it zeroes all the others in that row!! Does anyone have any ideas please in very very basic lamens code!! It is only relating to the user form called "Figures1". I had an if command running in the "decweek1" modules, but it makes my procedure too long to do the same with the other one!
If you look at my code, you can see how unadvanced I am with this so really simple code would be gratefully received!! If anyone feels nice enough you could always write the code for this problem for me and send me back the workbook, however I don't expect anyone to do this!
Is there a way i could put a validation on a text box that doesn't allow the user to enter a value that already exists in a given range. The object being to avoid duplicate entries.
I am using a version of the following code that sends a mail using Lotus notes and attaches the Workbook - I am wondering if there is anyway I can make it attach the WORKSHEET instead ?
Code: 'The procedure for executing the main task: Sub SendWithLotus() Dim noSession As Object, noDatabase As Object, noDocument As Object Dim obAttachment As Object, EmbedObject As Object Dim stSubject As Variant, stAttachment As String Dim vaRecipient As Variant, vaMsg As Variant
So I have a workbook (Workbook1) that opens a userform on launch. I have another workbook (Workbook2) that has a button to open Workbook1. Upon opening Workbook1 (and as a result the userform) I'd like to input data from Workbook2 into the fields of the userform. I'm not exactly sure how to reference the userform fields to input data from Workbook2.
I'm trying the following code:
Workbooks.Open (Workbook1)
With Workbooks(Workbook1).Userform1 UserformField1 = "Billy" UserformField2 = "John" End With
The macro is opening Workbook1 and the userform but the fields return blank.
I have a form which creates a budget based on user input. I want to save that user input in a separate workbook. My goal is to reduce the file size. I have several modules which perform evaluations/ calculations, and then format the output in a worksheet, but the size is pretty large 450KB.
I was thinking that I could set the control source, to different cells on the worksheet, and then just copy the worksheet to a new workbook, and save the data by itself. Then if I wanted to change the data for a given budget, I would copy the sheet back into the workbook that contains the modules, and load the form again. Is this a good solution? Is there a better way? Please let me know if I can provide more information.
I have a userform, UserForm1, which lives in a spreadsheet called 'Data Entry.xls' There is nothing else on the spreadsheet itself, it's just for the use of a userform.
I would like the user to populate textboxs in UserForm1 but have that update cells in a separate spreadsheet 'Training.xls' in the same directory.
I have this code at the moment to find the next empty row and to input data into it, which is working perfectly to enter data to sheet1 in Data Entry.xls:
How can i modify it so it would do the same thing, i.e find the next empty row and then populate with what the user types in the textbox but in Sheet1 of 'Training.xls'
