=AND($AE$2:$AE$10<=$F$2:$F$2000;$AE$2:$AE$10>=$E$2:$E$2000) With this I am checking for conditions to be true or false
Lets say I am checking AND(AE2 <= F2 ; AE2>=E2) this tells me if date in cell AE2 is smaller or equal to Cell F2, but how can I set this fromula to check if all the cells from F2 to F1000 are equal to AE2 so If I write date into Cell AE2 it checks all dates from F2 to F1000 and check if condition is true or false (and if I write date in cell AE3 it should check all the dates from F2:F1000, if date in AE3 is in this range)
I am trying to write a formula to figure out Body Mass Indexes for certain age groups and whether or not they fall into a High or Low risk category. So, I am trying to write a formula that does the following. I have 3 columns, Gender, Age and BMI. I need the formula to do the following.
IF Gender = M AND Age >18, <39 AND BMI >7%, <19%, Then return an "L" into 4th column IF Gender = M AND Age >18, <39 AND BMI >19%, Then return an "H" into 4th column IF Gender = M AND Age >40, <59 AND BMI >14%, <23%, Then return an "L" into 4th column..............................
I have data in Row 53 that spans 7 columns, but stays in the same row. I want to design a loop to select every 7th cell in that row and check if it is empty. If not, add onto a "counter" then display the final number of occupied cells (the value of the counter) at the end. This is what I have so far, but I get all sorts of errors.
Code: Sub Tester()
Dim WB As Workbook Dim WS As Worksheets Dim modCounter As Long Dim Cell As Range
Set WB = Workbook("Transverse Series.xlsm") Set WS = WB.Sheets(BM18)
I would like to count al the rows where in certain columns there are certain values.
For example:
=SUMPRODUCT(--(Bakjes!$C$2:$C$4000="1");--(Bakjes!$G$2:$G$4000="") This works fine. However, I would like to look in columns N2:W4000 as well if in that specific row value x is present. This gives:
The output should check two conditions. If all three columns are "Y" then it should return value "Y". If any two columns are "Y" then it should return value "Y". or else it should return "N". Then the output should look like this.... The output column is colored in Red..........
Is there a way to a mass insert of Check Boxes without the cell link all being the same cell? I have a huge list of items that I want to put a check box next to each one. This way when my warehouse people check it off in the sheet one of the columns will read "Available".
Problem is when I put the first box in and cell link it to E4, and then copy and paste it, all the boxes toggle based on one another. Otherwise I have to put in 584 check boxes. Solutions or other recommendations are gladly welcome.
Also, is "True/False" the only available "response" when using Check boxes? (I Know I can write an equation based on the true false, but I am just curious)
I want to check if cells C1, D1 and E1 contain the same name. For example if the cells all contain the 'Joe Bloggs' (or whatever the name variable happens to be) then cell F1 should say "Yes", else "No".
I want to vary a for next loop, depending on the value of a variable (y). Is there a way of doing this without repeating code as in the example?
If y = 1 Then For x = 1 To 100 ' lengthy code changes Cells(x,1) characteristics Next x ElseIf y = 2 Then For x = 101 To 200 'lengthy code changes Cells(x,1) characteristics Next x ElseIf y = 3 Then For x = 201 To 300 'lengthy code changes Cells(x,1) characteristics Next x End If
I want to create a user form in excel that auto calcs the discount depending on customer type and no. of books purchased. There are two types of customer’s one individual and the other schools, library etc. The discounts are below
I have created a form with option and text boxes to capture data but am really struggling with this as in my head I understand a set calculation will need to take place once relevant conditions are met but am really struggling to put it into code (yes I am new to this).
Have spent ages on this to no avail. Need the attached sheet to verfiy the values in the "Reconciliation" are correct when referencing the "Prices" sheet. I need column F (Reconciliation sheet) to lookup the "Code" in column B in the "Prices" sheet and then further look up the "Payment Frequency" (column D in the Reconciliation sheet) in the "Prices" sheet to verify that the price is correct.
Due to slight decimal point issues, if the value has a greater than 0.02 difference then display "ERROR" otherwise 0.
I am trying to check if the dates are equal with multiple if statements! Macro works great if first date is wrong, but if the 2nd or third date is not unequal it does not work anymore.
really tried to do it myself but unfortunately
I added an excelexample
Date in E3 is different (if you type in other date in cell b3 macro does work partially).
I would like to be able to create multiple check boxes that will accomplish 2 things.
1. When Checked will display a date in the cell one column to the right. 2. When checked will change colors
Secondly, since i will need to make several hundred of these I would like a macro that will allow me to define how the check box is to behave and then have a macro which will allow me to define all of the settings and then input the number of check boxes that I want and it will create that many boxes.
I recall seeing a macro on here some time ago (at least 1 month prior but no more than 6 months prior) which allowed you to type into a form how many check boxes or option boxes you wanted to create in your workbook, and then it would create that many.
I am currently trying to automate some excells workbooks that my company uses. The one i'm working on is a listing of all the change orders we have. Unfortunatly there are roughly a 1000 rows, each containing the information for the change- change #, Date opened, part numbers, change description, status, date closed.
Order 0001 - 10/22/08 - 0156, 7251, 9901 - delete bag - closed - [blank] - Order 0002 - 10/22/08 - 0018, 0612, 0875 - add notes - open - [blank] -
What I want to do is type a part number in, it checks to see if there are any rows that already have that number and have an open status (as apposed to closed) and then tells me where the conflict is. so in the above example if I typed in 0612 it would tell me that number is already in use. I am using excel 2003 if that makes any difference.
I have a table in excel that i need to use to mark a 20 question quiz. I have the correct answers in one column and the students answers in the next column. I want to mark a correct answer with 1 and an incorrect answer with 0 marks. I know how to use IF, however the students answers can vary eg, correct answer could be B and D but the student writes B + D. Is there any way of marking this correct even tho it is not exactly written out correct?
Attached worksheet which is an sales incentive plan. I need cell B69 to represent the amount in b68 unless neither b30 or b99 are > 0. In other words if even 1 of the cells b30 or b99 come back positive, you get the amount in b68. If it comes back 0 in both cells b30 and b99, then they get 0.
Any formula that can look at the data in multiple columns and check for a match - returning a value such as YES or NO. Below is an example of my sheet.
A B C D E F G
1 Name Number Name Number Name Number Match?
[Code] ..........
Basically the formula would be in Column G and would look at B, D, & F to see if they match or not. In the example above - row two - they all match. So a True, 1, or Text option such as YES would be great. Same as row 3 only you can see they are different.
Using VBA, I am running code that filters the data in my column "Account" on my main sheet, creates a new sheet for each account in that column then copies the filtered data to the new sheet. There will always be the same list of Accounts with the exception that there might not be data for one or more.
In that case, I still need it to create a new sheet with the account name but just have some text stating "no data available for his account".
I can find code to search if a specific sheet name exists but, in my case, I don't know which one won't have data at run time.
I was hoping I could put a static list of the expected sheet names into an array and loop through that list and create the sheet for any that it can't find.
Basically I have a list of companies each with five corresponding check boxes in different cells. I want the cell with the company name in (or just a symbol in the cell) to appear Green, Amber, Red when 5, 3-4, 1-2 of the boxes are checked respectively.
How do I get a function to check cells on multiple work sheets.
For example this function searches for the word "hello" in cells, A1 to A50 and then adds up the number in the corresponding cells where "hello" is found from C1 to C50:
=SUMIF($A$1:$A$50,"=hello",$C$1:$C$50)
Two questions:
01) How do I search the same cells in two further work sheet, "Sheet2" & "Sheet3"?
02) Is there a way to search every cell in an entire work sheet?
As part of an audit program I have a questionnaire. One of the questions has 10 check boxes, one with a combo box and one with a text box. The user will check at least 2 or more answers, but not all 10. (2-4 average). I don’t want to link the answers to specific cells, because I don’t want the answers to display with blank rows between answer on the sheet. I want the answers to display in 2 columns evenly distributed.
I would prefer, to not have to run a macro, if possible, but the only way I could see to do this is a very long if statement base on every combination of answers. If the only way to do this is thru a macro, I would prefer to tie it to the printing of the sheet, or I could make it part of an error checking macro I plan to do. The actual question is in the attached file
I am trying to write a formula that will do multiple IF statements checking to see if words are written in certian boxes and if so to do certian things and I need help, never done multiple IF statements in one formula before and can't find anything in the books I have or on the web.
I have an excel document with hundreds of columns. Each column should not be empty; they must have at least one value. Right now I'm applying a filter and going through each column one by one to make sure that it is not empty. How can I perform this check without having to go through each column one by one?
This is my basic setup, each piece of equipment will have more than one routine to be performed:
Equipment Type Make Model Serial Location
To Be Performed Frequency Last Performed Performed By Next Due Date R1
[Code] ..........
I want to track changes on "Last Performed" and "Performed By" and, if changed, copy both values to a separate "log" sheet. In total, there could be up to 10 routines for each peice of equipment. That means I would need to track 20 columns for changes. I would like this check to be done on save because that ensures that the user is satisfied with their changes and keeps the log from being flooded. And lastly, it needs stored in the log sheet in a way that I can identify which piece of equipment it was for and which routine was done.
I have three cells where a user will input data, in some cases (2T Weld Condition) they will only enter in B12 and C12, but in the case of a 3T weld they will also enter data in the D12 cell. I then use a formula to check for the thinnest material and that is entered into another cell with a formula, B14. I then need to check the value in B14 to verify if it is above zero, but below 0.65 (mm). If it is then I would like to have a message appear on the screen notifying the user that they are outside the acceptable range.
I cannot figure out how to use the information in cell B14 because it is a formula and my code only works with a direct value. The code I am using works if I point to one of the three input cells, B12, C12 or D12. How do I use the information in B14 to work with the code below.
Private Sub Worksheet_Change(ByVal Target As Range) If Target.Address = "$B$12" Then If Target.Value < 0.65 Then Run "MyMacro" End If End If End Sub
I am trying to create a macro that will create a number of check boxes, which are linked different cells. I have had some success in creating multiple check boxes and having them at the destination I want the problem is that instead of linking to different cells they are all linked to the same cell. I have attached a sample workbook SAMPLE.xlsx
What I am trying to achieve is using the above can it check
C4:C7 Grouped and named "first" C8:C10 Grouped and named "second" C11:C13 Grouped and named "third"
If one from each group is selected it returns 1 value, if 2 of each are selected it returns a second value and if 3 of each are selected it returns a third value?
I thought by grouping them it may give me the desired results but all it does is change if I select more than one from any of the groups.
