If Data From 1 Cell Matches Specific Data Of Another Cell Then OK If Not Highlight In Red

I have been wracking my brain around how to put this formula together.

Is it possible or it can't do more then 1 cell at a time?

Here is an example:

If F1= button request and E1= Scoring then OK (take no action) also i want to add that Folder in F and Corrupt in E would = OK

If it doesn't match to highlight the cell in red

Here is the scenario. I am running a business and each day I download my orders for the day. The information includes customer names and addresses. The customer name is for example in column E. We will call this "Book1".

I have a second workbook that I use to store bad customer information. i.e. customers that I do not wish to sell to. The information stored here is customer name and address e.g. column A - customer name, column B - 1st line of address etc. This will be "Book2".

I wish to programmatically be able to compare customer names in column E Book1 to the customer names stored in column A Book2. Any matches found should highlight the rows (i.e. orders) in Book1.

I have tried to make this clear as possible. I want to be able to do this as a macro hence programmatically so when I click a button this comparison/highlighting takes place.

Search To Data Ranges And Highlight Matches

I'm trying to create a leave calendar for staff. I would like to paste in the staff members sick and annual leave dates.

I would then like a conditional format that would highlight the leave dates onto the calendar, so i can visually track attendance and check for any sick leave patterns. My calendar looks like below for each month, and although it shows just the date in excel, i have formatted it so its actually the full date (ie instead of 1 it is 1/7/2013, but just displaying 1)

Whilst i can easily track and input the public holidays (on an individual basis) i'm looking to highlight the whole calendar area, say cells (c5:i10) as the search area and then have the leave data as a whole search area (at2:at150)

Above is part A of my question. To further complicate it, if it can even be done. The leave data i get from my system only has the start date of the leave, in another column it has the end date, and in another column it has days absent, if we can do it so it adds the days after (total leave days) to highlight in the calendar that would be amazing, if not, i'll just amend the data to have every date of the leave listed

I need a formula or VBA macro to do the following:

I have 2 worksheets, namely sheet 1 and sheet 2.
Sheet 1 contains data in columns A to H.
Sheet 2 contains data only in column A.

I want Excel to check the data found in column A of Sheet 2 with those in Column A of Sheet 1. Hence, when an exact match is found in Column A of Sheet 1, Excel will delete that entire row.

Color Table Rows Where Specific Cell In Row Matches Condition

I have a selection on a worksheet that has 4 consistent columns (A, B, C, and D) each with a variable number of rows all containing string type data. With this data I want to use Conditional Formatting so that when I have a string value of X in column D for any row, that whole row with the X in column D has it's color change to say grey, this should happen regardless of what strings are in Columns A, B, or C.

Below is the way I've been trying to do this thus far and failing, when I run this code below I can only get it to grey out the cell with the X not the whole row.

Highlight Cells Up To Last Cell With Data In A Row

I could not find an easy solution to the find/remove duplicates in a row from left to right.

I have an other option: sort all data in one row, then it will show me, if there are any cells with the same word.
But .. here is my first problem:

First row is A1: AS1 with data.
A2: BB2 with data
A3: BD3 with data
A4: BX4 with data and so on.

When I start at A1 and press Shift/CTRL/Arrow right, it will hilite the row until BX1 and if I use the sort command, it will place all empty cells in front of the data.

What I need is hilite only up to the last column in that row.

So I could slowly work myself downward. Or prehaps there is a formula?

I could insert an empty space and write the formula in A1 and copy it down to A1644.

So it's pretty basic. If we simply remember the first ColumnA and ColumnB data, go to the next row, if ColumnA is the same, then ColumnB should be the same. If it's not, then fill with red, go to the next row, repeat. if ColumnA changes, remember the new pair, go to the next row and compare again.

I've thought about this from a scripting perspective, and imagine that something like this would do the job:

I'm trying to copy data from one excel sheet to another excel sheet. However, the data to be copied is dependent on the 'client name'.

To explain this further, in the first list I have a detailed report on our clients and the services provided to every employee of that company/client.

However, the sheet two only needs the names of the employees that belong to a specific client.

This can be done manually by setting a fliter on the name of the client/company, but I need to be automated. To ensure only that specific company/client company's employee name is copied.

I have a spreadsheet where I have a column of dates and I want conditional formatting to highlight the cell red if the date is less than or equal to today but if the cell is blank to do nothing.

At the moment I have the following formatting applied using the "format only cells that contain" option I have cell value less than or equal to =TODAY() except that obviously highlights every cell red that doesn't contain a date. Is there another conditional format I can apply in addition to this that will not highlight the blank cells ?

Conditional Formatting - Highlight Cell Containing Specific Character Within Text

I have an excel spread sheet & I wish to highlight any cell that contains any of the following characters with in a string of text.

E.g. a cell in the spread sheet containing the text "Is this a Question?" would be highlighted.

I have tried to use - 'Format only cells that contain' > Specific Text > Containing > for each of the characters and this does not work.

When I do this any cell containing any text is highlighted.

In addition there is formatting on any cell > 60 characters which turns the cell red and this works fine.

What would happen if (when I get the problem above resolved), a cell is > than 60 characters & contains a character listed above?

Does 1 formatting take precedent over another?

(Not critical to know the answer to the additional question, just curious - as long as it is highlighted one colour or another then no problem.)

I have 2 sheets in 1 document 'April Events' & 'Event Staffing' and I need to do the following

Basically, If 'April Events C5' contains any data, 'April Events D5' gets filled with the data value from 'Event Staffing G5'. If 'April Events C5' is blank, 'April Events D5' would be left blank. If 'April Events C6' contains data, 'April Events D6' gets filled with the value from 'Event Staffing G5' or left blank. If 'April Events C7' contains data, 'April Events D7' gets filled with the value from 'Event Staffing G5' or left blank e.t.c

e.g 'Event Staffing G5' = £12.57. On 'April Events' (C5=12, D5=£12.57) (C6=191, D6=£12.57) (C7= , D7= )(C8=1, D8=£12.57)

Is there a function/formula to do this?

I have a big data sheet. I have approximately 2170 rows and 50 columns. In some rows I have a series of consecutive zeros. I need to build a formula that gives me the date ( located in row3) right before the first zero in the series of consecutive 12 zeros.

For instance in row 1340 I have a series of 12 consecutive zeros. The first zero happens in column AC, therefore I need the formula to retrieve cell AD3. however every rows has zeros located in different cells therefore I need a general formula.

A vehicle has been assigned to collection, time of entry appears in Load cell coresponding with vehicle eg.e vehicle 1 'A1' = load 1 'B1'. I can get the exact time to appear in the cell currently but when I try to assign a second truck, the load 2 'B2' cell AND the load 1 'B1'.
