Excel 2010 :: CountIf And SubTotal - Filtered Results

Jan 5, 2014

Excel 2010 windows 8

I am in need of a formula to count filtered results. On Sheet1 (Job Flow) the user enters data continually . The most important is the Date in column D some measurements in columns N,O & P that gives a result as a code, example s15020 or c3005 in column Q. A vlookup is then pulls up a price for the code.

On sheet two Column A There is a list of all the codes. I need a formula that will give a count in column B for the amount of codes that was entered in to the data base "sold" for a date filtered time period, be it a week, month or year. In other words the codes in ,column A sheet 2, should reflect the amount of units for the time filter on page1.

Excel 2010 :: Compile Reporting Results Automatically With Filtered Database List?

Nov 6, 2012

I am a Microsoft Excel 2010 user and am trying to create a usage report for a website that I work on. I have been compiling the usage reports into one spreadsheet. The columns I use are Month, Device, Language, Title 1, and Title 2. I can filter each of these rows and it shows me the number of records found. Each row on this spread sheet refers to a time that someone selected something on the site. For example the row may say;

Month (filtered)
Device (Filtered)
Lan (filtered)

[Code].....

How do I automatically populate a table on a separate sheet with the number of records found for a certain combination of filters applied. So if I'm looking at monthly trending I want to know how many times the stress test was started in May, June, or July, but automatically using info from the multiple filters.

What is a formula I can use to compile the filtered data from above.

Excel 2010 :: Converting From SUMIFS To SUMPRODUCT In Order To Make View Filtered Results

Jan 2, 2014

I'm using Excel 2010. I have a spread sheet with sales data covering 3 years and multiple customers. I was able to create formulas such as this to calculate the figures for the entire sheet (all customers) by year.

=SUMIFS(J2:J12904,E2:E12904,">12/31/11",E2:E12904,"<1/1/13").

I believe that in order to use filters that show this date for a specific customer I need to convert this to a SUMPRODUCT formula, I've tried this multiple times and had no luck.

I'm using excel 2010.

I'm trying to filter a data set to see only those groups that have a subtotal count of 3 or greater. The subtotals are at each change in customer to count the number of divisions that customer is associated with.

In other words, how can I see a list of only those customers who have the permission to shop 3 or more brands?

Excel 2010 :: Conditional Formatting - Shading By Group When Filtered?

Sep 19, 2013

I am using Excel 2010 on XP. I would like to apply conditional formatting to shade every group in alternating color. For example, I have a list of US states. I have a formula already to produce this:

Current Conditional Formatting Formula: =MOD(SUM(1/COUNTIF($a$2:$a2,$a$2:$a2)),2)=1

STATES (unfiltered)
AL
AL
AK
AK
AK
AR
AR
AZ
AZ
AZ

When I apply a filter, the rows remain shaded as they were originally:

STATES (Filter OUT AK)
AL
AL
AR
AR
AZ
AZ
AZ

I want the conditional format to change when I have filtered out items (DESIRED RESULT):

STATES (Filter OUT AK)
AL
AL
AR
AR
AZ
AZ
AZ

I would assume SUBTOTAL(3,...) would need to be incorported into the conditional formatting formula above, but I do not know how.

Excel 2010 :: Copy Table (listobject) INCLUDING Hidden / Filtered Rows

Nov 11, 2012

I'm trying to copy a whole bunch of tables with identical layout to a master table, so I can create a whole bunch of pivot tables that include data from ALL the various tables. The source tables MAY be filtered, and I can't work out how to copy them easily while also INCLUDING any hidden/filtered rows while at the same time leaving any filter settings on the source tables intact.

If I use something like range("Table1").Listobject.DataBodyRange.Copy then it only copies the VISIBLE rows.

But I want ALL rows to be copied to a master table.

1. I don't want to unfilter the sources tables, because users might still want the source tables to remain exactly as the user filtered them. (However, it doesn't matter if the DESTINATION list is filtered or not). I realise that I could copy the entire sheet to a temp sheet, then unfilter any tables on that sheet and THEN copy these to the master list. But wan't to know if there's a simpler way.

2. I DON'T want to use SQL to create a pivot table directly from the tables, because the tables will have further information added to them from time to time, and so if I use SQL to make a pivot directly from them, I'll have to recreate the pivot cache using that SQL query each time, which might muck up the settings in any existing pivot tables. I realise that I could use SQL to copy the data to a 'staging area', and just point the pivot table at that.

3. I can't use PowerPivot, because its not installed in this environment.

Excel 2010 :: COUNTIF With 2 Criteria From Same Row

How to total 2 different criteria from the same row?

Here is one option I was trying but does not work COUNTIF((E5:AT5,"D12")+(E5:AT5,"LD12"))/18

Basically I want Excel to count up the number of times the value "D12" and "LD12" occur in the range E5:AT5 and then divide that total by 18.

I have it working to count only the "D12" but am unsure how to have it count 2 different criteria. I am using version 2010.

Subtotal On Filtered Row That Has Comma Separated Text In Column

Apr 20, 2012

I have a column A1 that consists of a range of values separated by a comma.

row 1:value 1, value 2, value 3, value 4
row2: value1, value 4
Row 3: value 2, value3

I want to get the unique counts for each value in the filtered list. This one field is not filtered but the others in the table are so I only want the counts of value 1-4 when the entire list is filtered.

I have been able to accomplish this with individual values using the following formula:

=SUMPRODUCT(SUBTOTAL(3,OFFSET('1. Respondents'!$C$7:$C$39312,ROW
('1. Respondents'!$C$7:$C$39312)-MIN(ROW('1. Respondents'!$C$7:$C$39312)),,1)),
--('1. Respondents'!$C$7:$C$39312=C4))

This works great other than the fact that I need to count total values of the column in an array.

I have tried using various combinations of vlookup and countif functions, but have not had much success. I did get it to a point where it worked, but only for the first instance of that student's name; it wouldn't continue searching the first worksheet for any other instances.

I have attached a sample workbook as a reference : Sheet1.xlsx‎

Excel 2010 :: Countif Multiple Ranges Of Different Sizes

May 8, 2012

I am using Excel 2010. I have a spreadsheet where column A is for Quarter, column B is for Employee, and columns C-R are for Codes (Code1; Code2; Code3; etc. through Code15). One line might have no values in the codes columns, another might have values in only Code1, another might have values in Code1 and Code2, and another might have values in all 15 columns.

A B C D E F --> R
1 Qtr Emp Code01 Code02 Code03 Code04 --> to Code15
2 2012.1 Liz CER02 INS12 WKH15
3 2012.2 Jim PIN55 WKH12 WKH19 WKH23
4 2012.2 Jon
5 2012.2 Jim WKH15 WKH23
6 2012.2 Jon PIN55 WKH15 WKH12 CER08

The worksheet is named "ALLAUDITS" and the named ranges are as follows:

Quarter: =offset(allaudits!$A$1,0,0,counta(allaudits!$A:$A),1)
Employee: =offset(allaudits!$B$1,0,0,counta(allaudits!$B:$B),1)
CodeData: =offset(allaudits!$C$1,0,0,counta(allaudits!$C:$C),15)

On another worksheet I need to be able to count how many times WKH15 appears in the CodeData range within a certain Quarter. I tried

=countifs(Quarter,"2012.2",CodeData,"WKH15")

But that didn't work, and from what I can tell in Excel support, it's because the ranges are different sizes. I have over 6500 rows, so I'm trying to avoid having to name all 15 columns and then do a sumproduct on all of them, such as

=sumproduct((Quarter="2012.2")*((Code1="WKH15")+(Code2="WKH15")+.......)))

Calculation would take forever.

I could just create a pivot table based on the "allaudits" worksheet, but I can't figure out how to get the actual codes as the row headers (instead of Code1, Code2, Code3, etc.).

Excel 2010 :: Using IF And Results That Satisfy 2 Of 3 Criteria

Apr 30, 2014

I'm trying to evaluate if 2 of the 3 criteria are met using an IF function in Excel 2010.

I have 3 columns of data. Each column has a number ranging from 0-15.
Example:
B2 = 0
C2 = 3
D2 = 4

Since B2 = 0, I'd like to have the equation return a 'Yes' because there are values greater than 0 for 2 of the three cells.

The hangup is that any of the three cells could potentially equal 0, so the equation must account for C2 or D2 being zero.

Subtotal With Condition (only Count Values Greater Than Zero When Data Is Filtered)

Oct 24, 2007

=SUBTOTAL(2,A2:A100) can be used in combination with any other formula so that when the data is filtered using autofilter it will only count values greater than zero.

I have attached a worksheet with the example.

In the attached workbook subtotal formulas are used in Row1 for sum and row 2 for count.
When the data is filtered using code "DUP" in column D, the subtotal in cell C2 is "4", whereas in the specified range there is a positive value in only 1 cell that is $1050 in cell C99.

Is there some combination that can be used with SUBTOTAL formula so that it will only count values greater than zero when data is filtered.

Differences In Results Using OFFSET Between Excel 2010 And 2007

Mar 6, 2013

I created a data validation formula for an Excel 2010 workbook that would only display client names who were assigned to the manager that they selected. The formula works fine in Excel 2010. However, when I open the same workbook in Excel 2007, the data validation type is reset to "Any value" and the formula is missing.

OFFSET is an available command in both 2007 and 2010. When I try to add the formula as a data validation list in 2007, an error indicates that Offset cannot access data in a different table. I have not been able to find any documentation which restricts the OFFSET command in Excel 2007 but there seems to be some incompatibility between the two Excel versions.

The formula I used was:

=OFFSET(Clients!$A$1,MATCH(Summary!$A$1,Clients!$A:$A,0)-1,1,COUNTIF(Clients!$A:$A,Summary!$A$1),1)

Where:

"Clients" is a sheet which lists all clients under each manager."Summary" is a separate sheet which contains the manager's name. Only clients matching this name will be available in the employee's client list. There are 50 "employee" sheets, each which should use this formula for data validation in the client column.

The error we received seemed to indicate that the above command could not access data on another worksheet. It is not an option for me to copy the client list onto each sheet that uses this formula. Are there any other options?

Excel 2010 :: Return Search Results From A Table
