Move Cell Data To New Line After X Characters

I am using Excel to create a parts list for a manufacturing assembly. I intend to have 6 categories (columns) for each part or instance. My problem is that the last (furthest right) entry will sometimes contain more characters than others. I want to limit the number of characters in the cells of this last column, and I have seen how to bump the remaining characters down to the next row(s) in the same column using the LEFT and MID formulas. This actually works very well for that purpose. However, I need to know how to force the next instance (row of 6 cell) to start together on the next available row.
The following images should better illustrate my question. First, I show the source data with the contents of cell F2 without further formatting. The next image shows the desired result with the extra characters from cell F2 moved to F3. (This data could actually fill up to 4 or 5 cells vertically.) Here, I have manually entered cells A4 through F5 for this illustration. I need a formula to insert a line break after every 42 characters in a cell , example if there is 266 characters in a cell there should be 6(266/42)line breaks.
=REPLACE(REPLACE(A1,42,0,CHAR(10)),84,0,CHAR(10))
I tried this but i am not sure how to get the start num to change to 126,168 and so on

I am trying to select and move text from one column to another. I have roughly 1,000 cells in column A and I would like to tell Excel to select characters at certain positions and move them into the adjacent column.
I want it to look like this...

ABCDEFGHI BCI
Each cell in column A has a 9-letter sequence. I would like to move characters 2,3 and 9 into the adjacent column

I work for a localizer of text heavy software. Our developers normally use a converter to pull text out of a file and insert it into the program. This text is normally input into an Excel file since it has to correspond with files/locations in the program.
Since the space on the screen of the program is limited, we often face character limits when inputting text into Excel. Now, one cell might hold up to 255 characters, and I could restrict that with data validation, but within one cell I need to restrict each line (with a hard return) to 30 characters to fit on the screen.

Some of the people on this list have a second name entry on the line below their first name entry. ALL of the people on the list have an Address2 on the line below their Address1.
How would I move the second name entry into the cell next to the first name entry, and then concatenate them, and then also move the Address2 entry into the cell next to Address1 (but not concatenate these)?

I want to create a chart where I have 5 clustered columns, repeating 4 times(weeks). Each column(total invoices entered per user) has a error rate, which I would like to display as a line graph with markers. In other works, first column has its own line, second column has its own line etc. this spans the 4 weeks. When I create the chart now, ALL 5 the line markers are placed in the same one column. I can not move the line marker to sit on top of the column it is associated with.

if I wanted to slowly move a shape (small circle) in a straight line between cells R20 & W7.
The straightest line possible is by drawing an arrow line between the 2 cells.
Is there a way to then use this arrow as a guide for moving the shape?
In other words, would it make sense for the porgram to draw a transparent line between the cells, and use that line as a "path" along which to move the shape?
I just don't know if this is worth the trouble.

I have a exel file which has been exported from Access to exel. There are many cells which shows the data as in Cell A1 with the Linefeed character in between data in a cell. Is there any way (may be using a macro) where I can remove the character and get it to display as B1 in the same cell(A1). The file is attached herewith.

I have the data to import / read in a pdf, in a doc, or in an Excel worksheet whichever is easier to use. I need to import the data, parse it into the correct cells for that row and then repeat the import until the end of the file. Not all the cells are in each group of data to import, so those cells will be null for that row. Some of the data for one cell may be in up to 14 lines in the data file. I have be concatenating these data rows into one cell. There are 48,000 lines in the file to import or I would do this manually. I am assuming that doing this in VBA would be the most efficient method.

I have about 180 workbooks which I need to compile into a Master Schedule.
All the tab 1's are different, these feed into tab 2, which the data has the same formatting throughout. The 2nd tab has the same data for A:F 1 but cells A:2 - F:2 down to row 9 are populated from tab 1, therefore different in each. I am trying to get a Master schedule that lifts the data in the fed cells into a line by line spreadsheet?
Is there a way I can get excel to look at a folder, then every workbook in it, the at the 2nd tab in every workbook, then list the cells as described above? I am not after a consolidation of this data, but a full list?

I need to read or clear all the line in specific range which will be increasing dynamically. Problem is "Selected File List" table range is not specified. New file chosen with browse will be added to "Selected File List" dynamically. Number of file can't be predicted.

After that, (Row number 9 which is start line + arraylist size) to get the number of line of end of the table. But due to some requirement, I want to read the file from excel file. Something like -Read until found blank line or border bottom or something.

Is there a way with "Data Validation" where the data that shows on the drop down box, when selected, only displays the first four characters on the cell. For eg In a worksheet, Row A1, A2 etc has got data validation settings whereby the value to be input in those cells comes from a list. The list looks something like this: 3000= Staff, 3001=Parking, 3200=Retail.
If I want to select for row A1 from the listbox - "3000=Staff" , what do I need to do to have only the value "3000" show up in cell A1 and not "3000=staff". The reason I only need the numbers to show up is because that will in turn be used in my vlookup function. The reason I am showing "staff, Parking, Retail" in my listbox is to give users additional information as a guidance to choose the correct code for those cells.

I have an issue with groups of data in a row, that I need to copy into a new row beneath the original. I need a formula or VBA that will perform this function:
If any data is present in columns AG-AK, then copy that data into a new row below, into cells AB-AF. Also copy column B (this data is always present, it is the name of the project data contained in the original row)

I've made a spreadsheet for tracking sales/profits and keeping a record of orders, I have made a table on one sheet listing customers, and I have a table on another sheet with a Customer column, with cells linked to the table of customers on the other sheet, The cells in the customer column are set to display a drop-list from the external customers table, but when I select a customer, all of the cell data that's pulled in, is written on one line, whereas it has line breaks on the customers list sheet,
Is there a way of getting the list value to display with line breaks, like on the sheet it pulls the values from?

This formula I want to apply it in another workbook. It split in different columns the content of a cell.

If I apply the formula above in cells B2 to E2 it returns a blank cells. But if I delete the first "|" sign in the left side manually the formula works perfectly by splitting the cell into columns from B2 to E2. The issue here is that I have more than 300,000 records. Just imagine the amount of time invested in just deleting the first "|" at the left side.
I need a variation of the formula above that in first place delete the first "|" at the left side and after that continue with the proper work of the formula.

When you want to use Data Validation to limit the entry of the number of characters to a cell does this apply only to the cell that you are entering the characters or can it also apply to a cell that contains a LEN(A1) formula, for instance? Also,does the Data Validation limitation function includes spaces as well? Will the message appear while you are entering the characters (when it has reached the limit) or will it wait until you have hit Enter?

I have a single workbook with five spreadsheets. My goal is to move data along a path (or work flow) from one sheet to the next by using a "trigger" pulldown menu choice.
Sheet1 = Prospects
Sheet2 = New Sale
Sheet3 = Upgrade Sale
Sheet4 = Won
Sheet5 = Lost
Sheets 1, 2, and 3 use the same data layout for column A - K.
Sheets 4 and 5 have the same A - K as above and also have columns L - R in common.
The last column in sheet 1, 2 and 3 is a pulldown menu (New, Upgrade, Won, Lost).
Data rows on each sheet start at row 7.
The goal is to use the pulldown choice to remove the data from the current sheet (ex: Prospect) and add it to the next open row in the required sheet (ex: New or Upgrade). I also need to be able to make a similar move from New/Upgrade to Won or Lost.

Has i have a lot of data in the cell and everyday it changes, i take several hours doing it manually. I have tried using the command data/ text in colluns but because i have huge data it leaves a lot out. Do you have any idea how to put that values in lines automatically?

I have some code for it..but its just a little bit too long and I can't use it
This is what i have so far, trying to simplify it as its way to long to fit in a singel cell....i did think about breaking it down in to collums of either 8 or 6 and having it in chunks that way...but if i did that then i would still have to eventually use this forumla below as i don't really want huge gaps within the form i'm doing.

The idea is that readers tell us some info about themselves, including what types of products/services they'd like to receive information about, and we pass their details on to advertisers offering those products/services.
When someone fills out a form, we get data in Excel on their enquiry. It's all in one row - name, contact details, and then the products/services they've enquired about are included in one cell, separated by commas.
So for instance, suppose a listing currently came in as follows (column headings in brackets:
