Im trying to filter a name range of 12 columns in vba. However im able to emit ZEROS but NOT blanks when i usse AutoFilter Field:=12, Criteria1:="0" it stil contains some blanks in the filtered data

However, the pivot table is registering cells that have "0" (i.e., there's no actual data in the cell it is pull from) as having data. How can I get the pivot table count to ignore these cells?

So, if I had a list of 6 values and 3 were zero, I'd want to sum the list and divide it by 3 (not 6).
How can I copy a range and paste it excluding the lines with a zero value. The sample attached explains it better.

View 14 Replies View RelatedI current have an Excel doc that I am trying to pull averages from. Every row has data that needs to be averaged but I only need every other cell. And I cannot have zeros in the average because it will skew the data. Also if the average for a row ends up being 0, I want that average to show up as 0 not #DIV/0!. From Column H to EE I need to average each row individually.
I came up with the below formula.
=IF(SUM(H1:H1:J1:J1:L1:L1)=0, "0", AVERAGEIF(H1:H1:J1:J1:L1:L1, ">0")
It works but Its not practical because I have to manually enter all of the cells that it pulls from.
I have a one column of numbers...let's say consisting of six rows
the following numbers 12,0,14,25,0,9
if I average this it comes out to 10
how can I average the same rows but exclude the zeros in the outcome(is there a formula to do that?)
I would like the answer to be 15.....I still need the zero's in the rows however
I have a column with values, say column a. In column a are several rows with values equal to zero. I would now like to create a new list that omits the values that are zero, e.g.:

I have inherited some legacy templates (Standard, Leave and Exception) which cannot be changed. I need to summarise them (Total) selecting the earliest start and the latest finish. (Sample attached). The templates are 90 columns wide and about fifty lines deep so named ranges isn't practicle (I think). I'm running 2003.

=MIN(SUM(AD13),MIN(SUM(AK13)))
When AD13 = £60.00 and AK13 = £94.00 (or vice versa) the formula returns £60.00, which is correct. BUT when AK13 = £0.00 obviously the formula returns £0.00, but I would like the formula to still return £60.00.
How this can be done?
If I have a list of 6 values and a number that I want to get as near to as possible (above or below) using any, and as many as needed, of these 6 values - is there a way of calculating the nearest value? And, if there is, is there also a way of showing which values would be used?
Example:
Value 1 = 0.190
Value 2 = 0.278

I have three cells in a column. A1, A2 and A3. There are only 4 possible numbers that these can have in them, 0,1,2,and 3. Here is the catch. None of them can repeat, although they can be in any order. And the column may only have data in the first cell or the first two or all three. Is there a simple macro that will alert me to when a number is repeated? It needs to be a macro rather than a apreadsheet function.

i dont want to delete the formulas that are returning the #N/A but i want to be able to sum only the numeric values from the six cells.
I need code to copy rows from a filtered list on one worksheet and insert at a specific point in another worksheet.
What I would do if doing it manually is to "select the visible cells, copy, go to the other worksheet, select the point I wanted to insert the data and select Insert Copied Cells".
When I try to record this with the macro recorder I don't see the option Insert Copied Cells.
I am applying the sum function to a range of cells in a column. I've Auto Filtered my sheet to only include the data I need. Unfortunately, the sum function is adding everything in that column, even data from the 'hidden' cells that I've filtered out. I need to know what condition or parameter to apply to the sum function (or any other function for that matter), that will only add the data shown on my screen. Not the data that is hidden.
View 2 Replies View Relatedwith the data in the attached sheet, I create several different pivot tables that need show the count of the information in the columns M:DU. My issue is that the data is sent to me from a third party and the columns contain zeros that cause the counts to inflate.
What I would like to be able to do is run a macro that will search out any zeros in M:DU and replace them with a blank cell.
Unfortunately the number of rows increases with every monthly reporting cycle so the macro would need to be able to accommodate for that.
I ahve compiled a spreadsheet that calculates how many wins an individual has as part of a team. I am entering '1' if they win and '0' if they lose but auto sum obviously doesn't add the 0's up to calculate how many matches have been played in total. I need the total matches played because I have a formula in place to calculate % of matches won.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI’ve created a formula for this statistic and I’m happy with the results. Because I’m working with formulas, my only problem is the unwanted zeros. How do I hide zeros that show up automatically (i.e. #3 [blank] and Nov 09-June 10)? I can hide the numbers, but if I enter a zero to one of my future statistics it will not appear and I don’t want that to happen. Is there a way to hide those automatic zeros without affecting my real zeros?

I use the following CSA formula to give me the total highest intervals of zeros in a range. I understand how most of it works apart from one thing and that's how the data array and bins array give me the result.
=MAX(FREQUENCY(IF(H2:Y2=0,COLUMN(H2:Y2)),IF(H2:Y2>0,COLUMN(H2:Y2))))
So this is what I understand:
H2:Y2=0 - Returns TRUE/FALSE in the array based on range having 0 or a value other than that - ie{TRUE,TRUE,TRUE,FALSE,FALSE,FALSE,FALSE,FALSE,FALSE,TRUE,TRUE,TRUE,TRUE,TRUE,TRUE,TRUE,TRUE,TRUE}
COLUMN(H2:Y2) - Returns the column number {8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16,17,18,19,20,21,22,23,24,25}
IF(H2:Y2=0,COLUMN(H2:Y2)) -Returns the column number for every TRUE value
IF(H2:Y2>0,COLUMN(H2:Y2)) - This does the same as the above steps but returns column numbers for every cell that contains a value greater than 0
MAX - Returns the biggest number within the array ie =MAX({3;0;0;0;0;0;9}) would return 9
What I need to know is how the FREQUENCY formula gives {3;0;0;0;0;0;9}
What I want to do is Average out a range of cells "F4:F343". That's the easy part =average(F4:F343). However I want to exclude any numbers for that average if data in coloumn "Q" = "FMC"
Would that look anything like:
=average(F4:F343)/countif(Q4:Q343, "<>FMC")
I'm also displaying it as minutes in a day so i added *24*60 to the end of the formula and formatted to Number/.00. I've entered the formula and it will calculate but when i enter FMC to the appropriate area the average wont change.
I'd like to use the SMALL() function in excel to pull out the second lowest unique value in a list, but I'm not sure there is a way to do this. For example, if the array is {1,1,3,10,2,6}, then SMALL(array,2) returns 1, but I'd like it to return 2. Is there a way I can modify this function or use a different one to achieve what I want?

What I want to do is =Look at the G(1:100) take the top 10 lowest value and write the correspondant title nearby.
I think it s possible with Min or Small functions, but I dont know how to, especially taking the title names nearby.
is there any way of using the =SMALL function to rank only numbers above zero so that the zeros don't keep showing up as the smallest figures?
