When I use the following code, the spell check still checks the entire sheet. How do I have the spell checker on check a specific cell/range of cells?

I having trouble getting this IF statement to function properly. The Bold section is the part that will not function properly. I have checked all the spelling, spaces, but for some reason it wont display properly.

Based on the above is there a way to make this a type of lookup?

Im at wits end with all the ifs.

AND

Is there an array formula in C3 for example, that will check (i.e. say TRUE) if corresponding ranges are true i.e. check in this cell that A1=B3, A2=B4,...A5=B8.

Move Correct Spelling To A Another Range

Let's assume I've got a list of 100 words (most spelled incorrectly and located in cells A1:A100) and I want to place only the words spelled correctly into Column B. For example, if 10 words are spelled correctly, they should go in cells B1:B10.

I start with the first word in cell A1 and move it to cell B1 to be spellchecked. If it's spelled correctly, I keep it in cell B1 and move the word in cell A2 into cell B2 to be spellchecked. (If A1 is spelled incorrectly, I move the word in A2 into B1, thereby discarding the misspelled word.)

Can I code this so that when the spellchecker box opens (i.e. word is spelled wrong) it will close automatically (e.g. [cancel]) and move to the next word?

I have a spreadsheet that I'm using for a college football pool. We have almost 100 players, and have it set up for each player to pick up to 20 games each week. There is a sheet for each week of the season. Now, I copy each players picks from a message board and paste them under that players name. My problem is, that some people don't spell the teams correctly or abbreviate when they were told not too. This leads to them missing the points because excel sees it as a wrong entry. What I wantto accomplish is setting up some way to have excel verify the spelling is correct when the players entries are pasted in the sheet. I would also like it to auto-correct errors it finds...say a player types in Ohio St. but the winner is entered as Ohio State...This would be seen as a wrong entry for Ohio St. so I want excel to recognize it and correct it. Also simple spelling errors as well...

I have data in Row 53 that spans 7 columns, but stays in the same row. I want to design a loop to select every 7th cell in that row and check if it is empty. If not, add onto a "counter" then display the final number of occupied cells (the value of the counter) at the end. This is what I have so far, but I get all sorts of errors.

Error 'Method Range Of Object Global Failed' On FindNext Method

I'm trying to get the Find and FindNext methods to work. Column C contains serial numbers and there's a chance that a serial number might appear more than once in the column. What I'm trying to do is get Excel to find the first occurance of the serial number, find what row it's on and then see if this matches the variable 'CurRowNo' (defined earlier in the code). If it doesn't I want it to look at the other occurances of the serial number, find what row they're on and see again if it matches CurRowNo.

The variable 'EngCount is the number of occurances of the serial number (also worked out earlier in the code). I've got the code below, but I get the error 'Method Range of Object Global Failed' on the FindNext line. I have no idea what this error means or why it's happening.

Error Handling - Only Want To Check The Error On Single Line?

So the issue I am having is that I have a worksheet with two long rows of value. If the user enters the incorrect value, the program gives a error case of 1004. If and when this error occurs I want the program to send a MessageBox to the user then end the program. The problem that I am running into is that whenever I write On Error Goto... It Goes to the label whenever any runtime error occurs. My belief is that there has to be a way to only check for a runtime error on a single line of code rather than the entire sub.

I would like to highlight (with Conditional formatting) if a cell contains a formula. Or if easier, colour a cell if it doesnt contain a formula.

Find Method Only Returns 2nd Value In Cell

My .find function is only finding the 2nd value in a cell example If i look up the term " HOSE"

5/8 hose water Will return
5/8 heater hose will not

Basically what I am making is something I am calling a "what" button. It queries my database and returns all the part numbers with the term i put in and i thought it was working fine till i was testing it, did i do something to select this? I've tried xlpart and xl whole. Neither is working.

Method To Highlight Any Cell That Contains Anything But Allowed Set Of Words

I have a data set containing text (no numbers) that spans several columns and rows. I have a list of 'allowed' words (about 100 words) that can be in these cells. If a cell contains a sentence with a word that is anything other than these allowed words it should be somehow marked. Ideally the 'wrong' word itself is marked, but it would already be very useful if the cell that contains the word is marked in some way.

I tried conditional formatting, but it seems to only allow formatting cells that contain a certain word, not if it doesn't contain certain words. Is there a function or a script that would be able to do this?

Simplified example:

Say you have four allowed words:
Apple
Pear
Orange
Banana

You have the following cells:

>Apple Banana
>Pear Pear Orange Pear
>Banana Apple Orange Kiwi

The third cell should be marked because it contains a word outside of the set.

I am trying to use a cell reference to have excel automatically Save a worksheet using a cell reference as the workbook name. When I step through the code and use the immediate window I get the correct name for the file (fname in this case) but as soon as Excel tries to save the file, I get an error.

I have a range of cells each containing a name. Based on a number that has to be entered manually I want excel to return the names concatenated in one cell. So for example:

Number of variable entered: 5

q9001
q9002
q9003
q9004
q9005
q9006
etc.

Should give me: "q9001 q9002 q9003 q9004 q9005"

I have been trying to work with formulas using IF and CONCAT functions. But so far I haven't figured out how to have excel return me the correct amount of variables for each separate number that can be entered seeing the number of variables entered can vary from 1 up to 50.

I have a Dynamic Named Range "Data" spanning 10 Columns and many Rows.
Each Row may contain duplicates of the Numeric Criterion.

I would like to find ALL instances of a specific Numeric Criterion across
each single Row in the Dynamic Range "Data" and have the Results returned to
a New Sheet in a single column.

NEW Sheet:
The Numeric Criterion is housed in G5.
The matched criterion should be returned to the New Sheet starting at G7.
Duplicate instances in the same Row should ALL be returned to the same cell
in Column G on the New Sheet.

Sample Data Layout:
Columns I J K L M N O P Q R
Row No.76 1 0 1 1 0 1 1 1 0 1
Row No.77 2 2 3 2 1 2 2 0 0 0
Row No.78 3 3 3 3 3 0 3 0 3 0

Scenario:
Looking for Numeric Criterion 1 (one).

Expected Results - New Sheet:

In Row 76 of the Sample Data ALL seven Numeric Criterion of 1 (one) should be
returned to the same cell G7.
In Row 77 of the Sample Data there is only one Numeric Criterion of 1 and it

Paste Single Cell From External Source To Merged Cell In Excel?

I Want users to be able to copy a reference number from a an external program into excel, this works well for single cells but the cell I want them to be able to paste the information into is a merged cell and keep getting the "Data on the clipboard is not the same size and shape blah blah error". What I can do to get this information to paste? Is there some VBA that can kinda trick the cell to believe its single or when pasting it unmerges and then remerges again?

I have a string of text in cell A2. In cell B2 of my spreadsheet is a formula that calculates a number based on the text string in cell A2.

I want to write a VBA loop that removes a single character from the cell A2 string, then calculate the new value in cell B2. I want this loop to continue until the value in B2 falls below a set value (in this case 60).

My code so far

Dim myanswer As Integer
mytext = Range("A2")
myanswer = Range("B2")
Do While myanswer > 60
mytext = (Right(mytext, Len(mytext) - 1))

This obviously does not work. In my excel table I have a formula in cell B2 to calculate "myanswer" will this work, or does that code have to be placed into the VBA code?
