Find Specified Values. Offset & Cut/Copy

I am trying to locate specific values in column a of a spreadsheet and I want to be able to move (cut and paste, offset, ???) only those values to column c of the same row. The values I am looking for are text and they all begin <@29>, <@33>, etc. (pagemaker codes). I want to move the cells with the pagemaker codes to column c. and leave the other ones in column a. Does anybody know how to do this using vba? Below is a sample of my column a.

I am writing a program which would look for look for the word " TOTAL" in sheet1 and then assign several values in sheet 2 based on cells offset of address of "TOTAL". This is repeated and down rows of sheet 2. Everything works except that it is giving repeating the first "TOTAL" address; i.e. it doesn't seem to go to the next met criterion.

My source data generates a sheet full of individual dates and condo rates. We'll call it the "Rates Tab". The dates are not sorted or organized into a single column and to complicate it further the data has blank rows periodically. The only recognizable pattern is: (example) the date is in cell b12, then the condo rate will be 2 columns to the right in d12. On a separate sheet, the user will input a check in date(date A) and check out date(date b). I need to find the rates for all dates from Date A to Date B located on the Rates Tab. how to find a Date across various columns and then return a value 2 columns to the right from the "target"?

I am trying to achieve something like this :

Find a specific text in my column B (example : "Proposal ID"), when "Proposal ID" is found, select this cell and offset to the column C (Offset(0, 1)). Then copy this cell value in another sheet.

This will be repeated with different texts (always in the column B), so if the text is not found, I need the macro to continue running.

Loop To Find A Cell, Then Copy Offset Paste

I have a data sheet with employee information. Only one column. It prefixes information with codes, but keeps it in the same cell. I want to move data of certain types into their own columns, but the amount of data is variable, so I cannot simply move every Nth cell, etc.

i.e.

Employee#1
200 Firstname Lastname
204 99999999 (Employee ID)
G38 00005000 (i.e. Pension Deduction)
H38 00007580 (i.e. Benefits Deduction)
X96 00012099 (i.e. Staff Club Deduction)
Employee#2
200 Firstname Lastname
204 99999998
G38 00000775
X96 00001000

So you see some employees may have different codes altogether. But I know that I want all the cells that start with 200 to be offset (-1,1), and all the cells that start with 204 to be offset (-1,2), and so on so that basically I end up with columns of info instead of a one column list.

I have been reading and studying other peoples' macros, and am just starting to grasp the basic. When I wrote my own to accomplish this, I put this together, which doesn't work. But I don't know enough to know what I don't know.

I am in the process of writing a VBA code(I should I am fairly new to this code writing!!!).What I need to be able to do is below.(enclosed please find a output in an xls file) What I should be able to do is below:

1.Find the text "Cash(No Listing)(Monthly)"

2. Offset to the 13th Column after that

3.Select the value in this column ,copy the value

4.Go to a row above and move one column to the left i.e.offset (-1,-1) and move 12 column backwards i.e.offset(0,-12)

5.Copy the value in 3 above to this entire range

6.Repeat this process for the entire file

My code is as below.Let me know where am I making a mistake. Just to let you know that this code performs the job well for the first entry i.e in the yellow makde area and doesn't do the job for any further entries .Llooks like I have some problem with the loop but not sure as to whats happening!

Copy Values Between 2 Worksheet With Offset

As seen in the attached spreadsheet on sheet1 the template is 6 columns and 5 rows. The colors correspond to the information needed on sheet 2. this template includes data from row 3 on sheet 2. I need a macro that will copy this template and return the next row of data from sheet2. this has me stumped. Also the data changes on sheet, so it may have many rows or just a couple.

Select Range To Copy, Find Values And Copy

I have a base document that i can import another data document with a button (this is working).

I then have another WS ("search") in the base document with lots of identifiers which I want to use as my search range to look through the document that I just imported (column A).

I need a msg to ask the user what month they would like to find the $ value on (Ie, January) in the imported WS... this way it doesnt copy the entire line only cell in the selected month column.

Then I want to the user to be able to click a button that will check through the identifiers on the "search" WS and if the same identifier appears in the imported WS in column A, then for the $ value in the column selected to be copied to the search Range work sheet.

If the idenfifier is not matched then in place of the $ value copied can be the string "no in XXX WS" .

I have attached the document with dummy data in each work sheet with details more cleary what I have meantion above.

The following macro does what it is designed to do and needs to be run from a control sheet called "Guide". When I run it from this Guide sheet it stops at around row 53 (out of 1400 rows) on each of the specified sheets in the macro. I have struggled with this problem and have now discovered that the macro will run correctly when run from one of the worksheets specified in the array, e.g. sheet "200 and 100".

Here's what I need to do. I need to search 3 huge columns from multiple workbooks and copy all values > 0 onto 1 Worksheet in a completely new workbook.

I've done a search and this was the closest I've found to what I need: Find, copy, paste to diffrent sheet

But I couldn't get it to work.

Here's where I am:

Macro To Find Text And Copy Row Values

See attached spreadsheet for reference : MacroHelp.xlsx‎

I would like the macro to look in column I, and when it finds "TRUE", I'd like it to copy and paste values in all the cells to the left of it.

Reason being is that I want to rid the row of its formula, so the next time someone changes the info (the date the vlookup is searching for) in the tabs those cells are referring to, I will not lose the data it returned previously.

Really all I want is to copy and paste the values in the lowermost row of new information for each plant, but this is the best way I can currently think of.

I've removed the tabs the cells in columns B-G are referring to for sensitivity's sake.

Problem:
Find that A21 value in Range T2:T100 (each value in the range is unique)
Copy that value to Sheets("Roster") E8

Reason for posting: I've been trying to do this with vba but sheet formula will probably work, I can always Copy/Paste Special/Values to clear the formula. Keyword searching has resulted in no progress.

how to write a vb code to do the following actions with an excel sheet, which contains a dump from SAP. This dump usually consists of anywhere between 25 to 30 columns and about 20000 to 30000 rows…

1. Find all rows which contain “VN” and place it into the sheet Vendor Charges (which already exists). Which could be in any column

2.Find all rows which contain “MT” and place it into the sheet Material Charges (which already exists).

I have attached the excel sheet to better explain what I had in mind. ‘sheet1’ contains the raw data from SAP but, the number of columns varies every time so it cannot be directly sorted by selecting the column. I tried recording a macro but, as I don’t have a constant sheet to work with each time the macro obviously doesn’t work.

Find Related Data From Another Sheet & Copy Values From Left

Im going to try to make this as clear as possible. I cant use my actual data because it wouldnt make any sense to anyone so Ive made up an example problem. Here goes...

Lets say in Sheet 1 I have two descending columns of data. Column A is MODEL of Vehicle (Civic for example). Column B is vehicle identification number (xxx for example). Sheet two has 4 columns of data, but only one is really required for this example. Cell A1 is the MAKE of vehicle (Honda for example). Directly below that in Cell A2 is the MODEL of the vehicle (Civic). There are then a few rows of empty space until it gets to the next vehicle MAKE and MODEL.

So in Sheet1 there is a long list of MAKE's in ColumnA and VIN's in ColumnB. Sheet2 Has a long list of MAKE's and MODEL's in ColumnA and random data in other columns.

What I want to do is assemble a Macro to start in Sheet1-A2, read the MODEL then copy the corresponding Vehicle Identification Number in B2. I then want it to go to Sheet2-A2 and start searching downward until it comes across a matching MODEL. Once it finds the match I want it to step downward 2 cells and paste the Vehicle Identification Number. Then return to Sheet1-A3, and repeat the process until EOF.

I've attached a workbook which contains two sheets:
PAYM
DEVICE_PAYM

Data is updated on DEVICE_PAYM each day with the figures I need located in column "AN". I need to be able to copy the data from "AN" and paste it into a column on the PAYM sheet. The destination column on the PAYM sheet needs to be specified by inputting a specific date - ideally, I would like to use the calendar Add-In as part of this process. I've already input some code for the calendar but am unable to develop this further so that it finds the correct date column and pastes the data across from the other sheet.

Attached is a workbook that I am having a major problem with. Basically it is a stock management system for a hotel allowing purchase orders to be easily generated and receipted.

The purchase side is working as I want it to - so no problems there.

On the receipting side, however, I am having a lot of trouble. Here's what I want it to do.

For each item shown on the Receipt sheet that has a quantity in the received column, I want the code to find the appropriate line in the StockTotals sheet (using the UID which appears in column A of both sheets), then offset the appropriate number of columns, and update the numbers as follows;

Stock on hand grows by the number receipted.
Number on order drops by the number receipted.

If the number on order is now zero, then I want to clear the ordered cell as well as the ordered date cell next to it.

i'm working on an excel file that consists of 31 sheets one for each day of the week, the information about how much we make each day is inputted on the end of each day, i've consolidated all the sheets into 1 big sheet and now i want to create charts over the production, so what i would like is a code that searches the huge sheet for Machine name (Found in Column A and Column I) then walk 5 cells to the right and find the number of litre's made by that machine on that shift.

The different shifts are

Formiddagsskift - Morningshift

Ettermiddagskift - Eveningshift

Nattskift - Nightshift

I will include an example of the data. The data should be pasted to the "Formler" spreadsheet. It doesn't matter if you don't wanna do this i can simply do it later i just need the code to search, and go 5 cells to the right and remember which cell it is, and make sure it is in the right "Shift" ie, all the 282 machines for morningshift are summed in c7 and c10 has eveningshift and c13 has nightshift.

Quite time consuming to search through 31 days of production to find the correct machines on the correct shifts. And the data changes for each month so this would be a great asset to me.

Combining Offset And Find Formulas

On Sheet 2 I am looking for a formula to find Dog1 in a cell on a different sheet and then to equal a cell 2 columns to the right of where ever it found Dog1. I cannot make it so that it simply equals a certain cell all of the time. It has to be able to move in sheet 1. For example sometimes Dog1 will be on row 5 and sometimes it will be on row 7. So the equation I am looking for needs to be able to work no matter what row it is on. I have tried a couple VLOOKUP equations but they are not working because like I said, Dog1 is not the only text in that cell.
