Looking to have a macro call a subroutine every time it finds a cell meeting specific criteria.

Code in plain english would look like this:

For EACH cell in range A1:BZ500 meeting the following criteria:

Cell value is a date

AND

Cell's date is at least a week or more in the future

AND

Cell background (Fill) = RGB color code: (R:191 G:191 B:191)

DO the following:

I'm trying to find vehicle make and model in a cell containing a lot of text and then display that in the formula cell. For example if A1 is a paragraph that contains somewhere within it "Ford" & "Ranger". I want B1 to display "Ford" and C1 to display "Ranger". I have a list of vehicles makes (column A) and models (column B) on a seperate sheet.

Specific Cells Populate With Specific Numbers When A Value Within A Range Is Entered

Here is what i am trying to achieve. If the date 2/20/2010 is located at F53 & the cell next to it at H53 is populated with a number between 1 & 16, then i want the cell at J11 (42 rows further up) to auto populate with the number 1. When this occurs the cells beneath this, from J12 to J52 should also auto populate with the with consecutive numbers from 2 to 42. Would also like to see the cells with numbers 1 to 28, automatically format to orange & the cells containing numbers 29 to 42 automatically format to yellow. I plan to have this condition repeat several times later in the year, at dates that are to be decided. When these dates are decided i want to be able to enter a number from 1 to 16 & next to the date & all of the above automatically occurs.

SUM Of Values In 1 Range Based On Specific Criteria In Another Range

I am tracking total man hours of contractors in columns of different rates applicable. At present I have structured my worksheet with the different rates across and days going down. As I am invoiced for a period of work I will log the invoice ref number in a separate field. I would like to sum totals to report against $ Invoiced and $ Committed (i,e worked but not actually invoiced against yet).

Here is an example of what I am trying to achieve. The Actual showing sum mhrs * rate only for the mhrs entries with an invoice in corresponding Invoice Ref Column. The Committed producing sum of all mhrs * rate [which I am using =(SUM(D9:D37)*D7)] regardless of what is in invoice ref column.

This way I can hopefully track what we have been billed and also what we can expect to have to budget for to cover what has been worked but not billed against.

How To Count Groups Of Cells In A Range Using Specific Criteria

I want to count the number of groups of 3 adjacent cells in a horizontal range (C5:EV5) in which any cell in the group of 3 has a value in it (as opposed to all the cells being blank or containing "0"). For example, if any or all of the cells in C5:E5 have a value in it, it would count as 1, and if any of the cells in the group F5:H5 have a value, it would also count as 1, and so on. Is there a way to use COUNTIF for this?

Outputting Specific Criteria From A Cell

I have data which could be in formats such as the following:

0.361 x 3.8
Test: 8.90x0.20=0.487
0.362 * 1.4
~0.85 (0.32*2.45)
0.362 * 1.4=0.67

It could have other similar variants. Basically, in one cell I need to output the SMALLER 0."" number. (Or if there's only one 0."", than that number). So answers from the aforementioned data would be:

0.361
0.20
0.362
0.32
0.362

In another cell, I need to output the n."" number where n is the number above 0. So would need the following answers from the data:

3.8
8.90
1.4
2.45
1.4

I've tried to use functions such as ISNUMBER(SEARCH("n.*" if n>0 or something similar but can't get my head round how to make it this specific!

I have a big data sheet. I have approximately 2170 rows and 50 columns. In some rows I have a series of consecutive zeros. I need to build a formula that gives me the date ( located in row3) right before the first zero in the series of consecutive 12 zeros.

For instance in row 1340 I have a series of 12 consecutive zeros. The first zero happens in column AC, therefore I need the formula to retrieve cell AD3. however every rows has zeros located in different cells therefore I need a general formula.

Macro To Copy Specific Cells From Row From Source & Stop When Next Row Cell = Specific Value

I have a protected template and unprotected source worksheets - - - what I would like to happen is for the macro to start and if the source worksheet cell B3 equals "Report Total" then stop - otherwise copy template worksheet then copy 6 specific cells from the source to paste values to specific cells on the newly created worksheet (B_ to C7, D_ to I7, E_ to C9, F_ to K9, A_ to C11, M_ to K11 and then K13=F13-30)

After that then start all over again unless the next rows cell (B4, B5, B6, . . .) is "Report Total" then stop - - - the row count could be from one to a couple hundred.

Here is what I have so far but I know that with each copy the name will change and as it goes down the source file each row will change and I also need help with that.

Is there a way to format cells to where - when you type in a certain person's first name, it will insert something entirely different?

This has seemed to have happened on a computer at work.

In Excel, when I type in "Martha" then tab, or otherwise leave that cell, Martha changes to "Cool"

If I type in anyone elses name - it stays that name. But if I type in "Martha" .. it changes to "Cool" with the bullet and the word Cool.

I have number in cell (A1) = 100. when I enter number in any cell of column(B) for example (B1)=10. then in cell (C1) the result of (A1) - (B1) = (90) and if I add in cell (B2)=10 then in cell (C1) the result of (A1) - (B1+B2) = 80 .accumulatively in cell (C1). and any number in column (B), the result will be (A1) minus any number in column(B) accumulated in (C1)

I have been having problems all morning and have not been able to solve it!

I am sure this is very simple....

What I would like to do is assign the result of a sum to a variable. This part is easy what I cannot fathom or find any help with is the multipule criteria bit!

Here is the detail.
Column A - Employee Number
Column C - Area
Column F - Type
Column D - Amount paid.

I would like to sum the amount paid based on the 3 criteria, Employee Number, area & type and assign this to a variable to be used later in a sub I'm playing with.

Conditional Rank Based On Whether A Criteria Cell Includes A Specific Text String

I'm racking my brains as to how I can structure a formula to conditionally rank a value in an array against only those values in the array whose corresponding criteria cell includes a specific letter.

So for example I have a list of 12 values, say 126; 239; 0; 171; 162; 157; 130; 199; 122; 153; 0; 15.
Each of those values corresponds to a heading, say: CDE; DFE; FGE; DFE; ERD; DEA; BDF; DFB; CDE; CEF; CAB; FAB. As you will note some of the headings may or may not be the same and may or may not include the same letters in different orders.

How can I write a formula that ranks in ascending order a given value drawn from the above list (which will be in another cell but which in this case is, let's say, the first value: 126) only against those values whose heading includes a specific character, for example the character C (the character in question will vary and be defined in a specific cell).

As an added complication I need the ranking calculation to exclude any zero values. So in the above example what the formula needs to do is rank the value 126 against a sub-set of the whole array comprising only the values 126; 122; 153; 0.

The answer I need is 2 because, discounting the zero value, 126 is the second highest value.

Offset For Specific Cell Range(s)

I am designing a form that tracks call times. I have a control "cmdStart" that when clicked will enter the "Start" time in cell A4 and each time clicked will skip a column and enter the next time in cell C4. The same for a control "cmdEnd" that will enter the "End" time in cell B4 when clicked. Then the next end time clicked will go in cell D4. However, when the Start time enters the time in AE4 I need the next start time to start in A6 and do the same in this row until AE6 and then drop down again. The same with the "End" time when it reaches AF6. I think I could write the If and Else for each individual cell, but there must be a more efficient way to do this.

IF Cell Falls Within A Specific Range Then

I am half way through a Worksheet where I am using VBA to perform more than the measly 3 Conditional formats that excel offer. This is working fine but I am now looking into a way of reversing the formats if a mistake is made and the condition is removed.

To make this sound more straightforward it is a rota sheet. If I enter Holiday the cells interior turns pink, Half turns light blue, On Call turns green etc. If this is changed I need to change it back to the original formatting.

I have partly done this with a Case "" but the Rota changes colour with different teams so I need to have an IF statement in there that say if the Target Cell falls within this Range say A5:AF10 change to tan IF the target falls within A6:Af20 change to sky blue etc. Below is the code I have so far.

let say in cell A6 i have a list

SnG
Cash
MTT

I can pick one of these. If i pick Cash then i want a specific cell to run a specific formula. depending on the item chosen.

So in cell A6 is the list.

in cell B6 an amount will be place and in C6 another amount will be place. the number for c6 will range from a -number to a +number.

But D6 looks to see if B6 meet the requirements for MTT, SnG or Cash depending on which item was selected from the list. and uses the formula below with $c$3 changing from to either $D$3 or $F$3 and comparing the values for the chosen item. the formula changes would look this

Formula To Return Specific Value If Cell Falls Within Range

I am looking for a formula that will enable me to determine which one out of five thresholds a percentage falls within and the retuns a specific value for the corresponding threshold. Here is an example of the data (only showing three thresholds):

3 ___76%_____100% ____$25.00

Where the values in A1 and B1 are the low and high ends of one range. I would like the formula to determine which range the value falls within and return the value in collumn C (C1 for the A1:B1 range).

I can do this using multiple 'if' statements, but am looking for a much more streamlined way to determine the proper value in column C.
