I have a workbook with 2 worksheets: summary and data. I added the following function to a module.

Then in summary sheeet in cell A1, I added the following formula:
=DashboardRowCount()
Data worksheet has only 11 rows but this function returns 1048576 rows! My intention is to get a row count of non-empty cells in column A of Data worksheet.
Is there a function that will count a column of numbers where that will eliminate counting empty cells based on a certain date that will also capture any numbers that is added after refreshing the table from Access? I have attached a spreadsheet for an example. I need to count on the number in column V that equals 13 for the date of 12/22/09.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI want to count the number of rows in a specific column up to an empty cell and assign this value to a cell. I don't want to count the total number of rows but instead I want the number of the first group of rows.
For example, column A may have cells ranging from row 2 to 10 and then from row 12 to 20, so I only want to count the first group.
The below code counts the total which is not what i need.

I am processing an infinite set of data from a meteorological station here in Alaska which gives me half hourly data reading with a time stamp 00.00, 00.30, 01.00, 01.30, 02.00, 02.30 and so on.
I am using this formula to detect every time half hour reading is skipped (=IF(TEXT(MOD(B1936-B1934,1),"[M]")="30","","missing")) and it works pretty well.
Still I have to check and manually insert extra missing for every half hour missing but that's bearable.
This formula inserts a "missing" every time it finds a gap.
My question is: How can I insert a row above every cell with "missing"?
How do I do that? Here is also my excel sheet.

I am trying to populate the 2 tables from excel to word. I will be getting the excel file with tables in various sheets. One sheet consist of 2 tables that will be inserted to one word document. So if there are 2 sheets then I will have the tables inserted in the 2 word document. In the excel sheet I have attached, there are 2 sheets with tables in each of them. I have written the code to copy and paste the table to word doc from (general) range A1:G4 (Table 1) and A9:H18 (Table 2) that has empty rows and columns selected. But there are empty rows and columns inserted since the table range is not same sheetwise. I would like get the empty rows and columns deleted in the word table.

I am getting values for my excel sheet from another department excel sheet . everything works fine. If there is no values in the rows in the Department sheet, then i need to hide the rows in my sheet. How to code this in VBA. When they add values to the rows then i should make the rows visble here. I am using the following block of code, which cycles through the data and first deletes any cell with "Legal:" in it, and then cycles through again and deletes any row where the cell is blank.
The problem is that within the data, there are some locations where there are two blank rows in a row. When the code runs through, it deletes the FIRST blank row only, not the second. I Need ALL blank rows within the data set to be deleted.

In my excel I'm copying rows upon specific criteria to another tab.
The question is how I can delete copied rows and update the original tab without empty rows? (N of rows is always changing)
I want to count from each cell that doesn't contain "0". So if cell C2=100, I want to be able to count the number g1*2 from that cell and return a value. But then I want to start another count from c5 to the number of g1*2 and then another count from c8 etc basically any cell that contains a value other than "0", I want to start a count from.
The point of this is that the half life will expire after that count, so I want to be able to add the drug levels on an ongoing basis until the count of the half life has been reached. But there will be further dosing along the way before this half life is reached and these values need to be added to the existing value until the half life expires.
I have like 20 columns. I wonder if there is an Excel formula that will count all the non-empty cells across 20 columns. For example, if there are 10 non-empty cells from row B1 to U1 then enter 10 in the result cell A1 and so on down the number of rows. Or, on the other hand, count all the blank or empty cells from B1 to U1.

Idea is to count empty cells in one row, but cells to be counted are discontinued (range A10:A15, A25:A30. ETC....). Other difficulty is that I can not define the range exactly like this, but I have to use ActiveCell.Offset (0,10) or ActiveCell.Offset(0,11) etc...
ActiveCell is A1.

I'm attempting to count the empty cells in column C which correspond with the project reference shown in column A. I only want to perform this calculation where the project numbers change (see desired results in column D).
Am struggling with finding a way to define the different range of rows for each project ref within the formula. The full sheet has over 6000 rows and 1500 project refs.
sumif problem but it wont work with a countif or average if.

I want to include a second condition to this formula that will check if another column of dates are blank then they should not be counted. I am plotting a chart using data from custom functions. On occasion, the formulas return erratic values (due to the underlying data) which I wish to exclude from the chart. If the function does not pick up a value in the code, by default it returns a zero.I would like when this happens to have my function return nothing instead of a value - and I mean absolutely nothing, not a blank string. in this way, the chart line will totally ignore this point.
