I have a number of columns, each containing several thousand points. For each column, I need to know the percentage of points that are within a certain percentage (1%, 3%, and 5%) of a target number.
View 4 RepliesCells D 5 to D 36 are representing day 1 to day 31 of the month. clocked working hours of the employees will be entered to these cells. they are supposed to meet the target of 8 hours clocked at the end of each working day. that means on day 1 the target is 8 hours, day 2 it is 16 hours, day 3, it is 24 hours. i want to see the cumulative progress in ( percentage) on any give day. That means on each day the clocked hours should be compared with the actual cumulative target until that day.

I want to know if it's possible to create a conditional formatting that says if the percentage complete under the "task" is under 100% and within X number of days of the target date, it's red/yellow/green.
So, if a target date is 70-100 days out; 0%-10% - RED, 11%-45% - YELLOW, 46%-100% - GREEN
If a target date is 40-69 days out; 0%-45% - RED, 46%-75% - YELLOW, 75%-100% - GREEN
If a target date is 20-40 days out; 0%-60% - RED, 61-90% - YELLOW, 91%-100% - GREEN
If a target date is 0-20 days out; 0%-85% - RED, 86%-95% - YELLOW, 96-100% - GREEN
If a target date has passed, Anything under 100% is RED.
I am trying to create a formula to calculate the total number of calls that I need to receive to hit the target % if the current % is less than the target %. I have tried various formulae, but not having much luck. Also, it shouldn't show me any negative figures.
A = Departments
B = Calls Dropped
C = Calls Received
D = Current % (C/F)
E = Target %
F = Total (B + C)
G = Required (When I enter B, C and E, the rest needs to calculated automatically. G should tell me the amount of calls I need to receive in order to achieve the target specified in E)

Data is;
83300 - hypothetical number of times I have fired my gun at target.
43209 - hypothetical number of times I have scored bullseye.
So, my bullseye percentage = 43209/83300, or ~51.87%.
Need formula to determine how many more consecutive bullseyes I need to shoot, in order to achieve 70% ratio.
Since each shot from now on will be a bullseye, both values (hits & shots) will increment together.

when I use worksheet_change for something so simple to do, it prevents me from deleting cells.
When I try to delete the cell values from A2 (5) and A3 (6), they won't delete unless I delete the value on A1 (True).

I have a spreadhseet where columns I and J (range from I6 to J300) serve as input cells, off to the right, 23 columns over in AF and AG respectively I have a hidden array formula (Index, match) calculating values based on input in either column I or J and several factors embedded in reference table in the same sheet. That works fine. I want cells in columns I and J to be interdependent, in other words, input in column I drives calculations in a hidden formula and I want the value of that calculaton to display in column J (in a adjacent cell input in I6 results in display in J6), but if I input value in J then this value will drive calculation in a hidden formula and display in I (let's say I is centimeters and J is inches). I have a code that works (I set it up as a try just for few rows) but only one code section at a time, not together. If I choose column I (#9) to go first in code, values update in J, but not the other way around, if I choose column J (#10) to go first in code, values update in I, but not the other way around. What am I doing wrong, I tried Target.address case, I tried Intersect ... is nothing then etc. They all work one at a time but not together. Here is the code as it stands now

What I would like to do is, next to that cell, report the title of the row in which that cell appears. In other words, if someone changes cell $K$32, for easier reference I'd like others to be able to see that this cell appears in a row titled "New Sales". I ahve compiled a spreadsheet that calculates how many wins an individual has as part of a team. I am entering '1' if they win and '0' if they lose but auto sum obviously doesn't add the 0's up to calculate how many matches have been played in total. I need the total matches played because I have a formula in place to calculate % of matches won.

I need to be able to work out a percentage based on a value range. ie.
Cell D2 to D5 will define the percentages (so I can adjust it and play)
D2 = 18%
D3 = 15%
D4 = 13%
D5 = 10%

If the value in cell A10 is between 11 and 200 calculate on D2, if between 201 - 500 calculate on D3, if between 501 - 2000 calculate on D4 ect ect

In the adjacent cells in columns C (C1:C12) I need a formula that would turn the value into a percentage of the total of the values for that year (e.g. in C1: 20 is 16.7% of 120, so the value displayed would be 16.7% (or 0.167)).
I have a set number in col A for example 100. Col B is variable value. And Col C is where I need the formula.
If for example Col B is within 5% of Col A return value of "G" in Col C.
If Col B is within 20% of Col A return value of "A" in Col C.
If Col B is under or over 20% ( example if Col B is 79 or 121 ) of Col A return value of "R" in Col C.
Pretend their are two Tabs in excel.

I have two columns A and B. In each column are a list of numbers. I want to count the number of times the numbers in column A are greater than the numbers in column B and display it in the form of a percentage. An even easier way for me to do what I need is as follows...I have a third column (column C) that subtracts A from B...if it is a negative number, the cells in column C are autoformated to color the cell red. If it's a positive number, the cell is colored green. Is there a way I can count the number of cells that are red and divide them by the number of cells that are green to get a percentage?

I constantly delete a sheet, then repopulate it with a new one that is empty, but I need to add some code that happens if they should change a particular cell. It worked when I ran it on a worksheet without refreshing, but as soon as I cleared and repopulated the sheet, it was gone. Is there a way to preserve this?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a column of equipment average utilization percentages. This column is a dynamic name range called "Avg_Util".
Values in this range were created by a calculation that results in a value of "", for equipment which have no utilization as yet, to those with a utilization of anywhere between 16% to 160% for those with actual hours in service.
I need to count how many have a utilization of <=50% and those that have a utilization of >=150%.
COUNTIF didn't work because it apparently counts the "" values (as zeros?)? I didn't fare much better with SUMPRODUCT either, but that could just as easily be the fact that I'm still new to that function. I get the feeling I'm overlooking something regarding working with percentages here to be having so much difficulty with something that just doesn't seem like it ought to be that hard.
