write a macro - Condition: When i select "Audit Round" = "Round 1" in B2 and press a button it will automatically copy data from B5:B8 and paste special value in C5:C8. Likewise if I select "Audit Round" = "Round 2" in B2 then it should lookup "Round 2" in "Row 4" and paste special values from B5:B8.
I have a column "g" with this conditional formatting:- =A2<>A3 Format Bottom Border. However I will pass this workbook onto someone else who will fill in the text in column "g". They will use copy/paste text from other cells or columns even other workbooks that will not have the conditional formatting.
I have used Cells > Projection > Locked unchecked then used Tools > Protection > Protect Sheet and checked all. There does not seem to be a way to unlock the cell but protect Conditional formatting. Each time I copy and paste from other non formatted cells it wipes out my formatting.
Feedback.xls is the file I want to have my macro run in. By pushing a button to run the macro, it will prompt the user to select where their file is on their computer. This file will have different file names based on the end user. For example sake, I've included CAP.xls.
After the user selects their file, it will prompt them to choose which tab to copy and paste data from. Typically, there will be 30+ tabs on their worksheet. For example sake, I've created 5 tabs on CAP.xls. The tabs in their workbook will be labeled as I have labeled mine, M1 CAP, M2 CAP & M3 CAP. Therefore, it should prompt the user to select which tab to choose from.
After the user selects their tab (M1 CAP, M2 CAP, M3 CAP), the macro should prompt the user to choose which row of information to copy. In CAP.xls, I have a few rows of information to choose from. They all start with FY10A1, FY10A2, FY10A3, but this information could change. Once they select the row, it will copy each of those fields onto the respectively labeled fields on Feedback.xls.
Find a specific text in my column B (example : "Proposal ID"), when "Proposal ID" is found, select this cell and offset to the column C (Offset(0, 1)). Then copy this cell value in another sheet.
This will be repeated with different texts (always in the column B), so if the text is not found, I need the macro to continue running.
I am making a worksheet that I intend to use to track my money. When I first open the worksheet, it opens on a tab where I can click a button to report a type of transaction. For example, if I make a withdrawl from the bank for $50, I click the button, it takes me to the sheet that tracks my bank-related stuff, selects a cell and opens up a form, at which point I type in what the transaction consisted of. However, the sheet also tracks what is in my wallet, so I'd like to finish reporting the bank transaction in the form, and have a button to click that reports the wallet part automatically.
So, essentially what I need to do is select several non-contiguous cells that are in the last row of the bank sheet, copy them, switch to the wallet-tracking sheet, and paste them in a row that is one past the last row of that sheet. The paste should keep the cells next to each other, even if they were non-contiguous when they were being copied.
I am having some trouble with a piece of code that is part of a larger macro. I have a list of data and I need to copy and paste the rows of data in which the values in column B are the same and then delete these rows from the original sheet. The code that i have come up with so far is as follows:
Sub Retreive_Particular_Rep_Invoices() Dim RepInvoices As Long Sheets("All Invoices").Activate Worksheets("Current AM Invoices"). Range("A2:T65536").ClearContents With ActiveSheet For RepInvoices = 1 To .Range("B1").End(xlDown).Row If .Cells(RepInvoices, 2).Value = .Cells(RepInvoices + 1, 2).Value Then .Cells(RepInvoices, 2).EntireRow.Copy Destination:=Worksheets("Current AM Invoices").Range("A65536").End(xlUp).Offset(1, 0) End If Next RepInvoices End With
End Sub
I know that this is not correct, but it's the best i have been able to come up with so far and thought that i would try and speed it up. I have also attached a spreadsheet with some basic data that i have been playing with as well.
I'm in the middle of building a code that will look at the value in Sheet: "DATA" column "J", for each row that matches a criteria that I pull from a cell - Sheet: "Test" Cell: "C1".
The number of rows varies. I want to paste columns: "I2, K2:P2, U2:AJ2" when the value in Sheet: "DATA" column "J" matches the cell "C1". I'm using a Command button to click every time I want to generate the filtered data. And I would prefer the code to always copy data starting at Sheet: "Test" Cell: "K2".
I've copied, below, my test code that I have so far which only copies row 2 from the Sheet: "Data", and copies it into Sheet: "Test", starting at K2.
VB:
Private Sub CommandButton2_Click() If Sheets("DATA").Range("J2").Value = Sheets("Test").Cells(1, 3) Then Sheets("DATA").Range("I2,K2:P2,U2:AJ2").Copy Sheets("Test").Cells(2, 11).PasteSpecial Paste:=xlValues, Operation:=xlNone End If End Sub
I am trying to figure out how to copy and paste conditional formatting.
1371908# on hand 16458 ACNF18051 208 ACNF18061 104 ACNF30081 208 1371908 Total416104
1371911# on hand 7053 ACNF18051 208 ACNF18061 104 ACNF30081 208 1371911 Total416104
for instance in the above.. I want to black out any number in the "total" (bold) row that is less than the On Hand Qty (bold and underlined number) and I want to use a running total. For instance for part 1371911 with an On Hand Qty of 7053, the on hand is larger than the the first total of 416 so 416 should be blacked out, it is also larger than 416+104 so 104 should be blacked out as well.
This will continue until the on hand qty is less than the running total. I can conditionally format this one at a time and it could take forever as there are 3000+ lines of spreadsheet. If there is any way that you can tell me how to set the condtional format for one row and then cpy and paste it thoughout the sheet where needed.
i have an equation in A1, and i use conditional formatting for this cell, if the value of C1 is less than 1000, the result in A1 is red
i want to copy the result and the color of A1 to D1, i use paste value, the value and the color are then copied to D1 at first. but when i modify C1, the color of D1 also changed.
I have attached two Workbooks (OLD.xls and NEW.xls). I update this report weekly, but must always copy the previous week's status data (OLD.xls) into the new report (NEW.xls). Under each row, I enter a status update that pertains to the job (row) above it. When I run a new report, some data is removed and some is added to NEW.xls. (Details in the attached Workbooks)
I need to make sure that the proper status is copied and inserted below the new date for the matching job between Workbooks. The variable in column C must be the same in both Workbooks.
I have a list of invoice #'s on a sheet named "Temp Sheet".
I have a VBA macro that created a new tab for each entry and named it the invoice #. So basically the vba code created a new tab ( based on the number of invoice #'s on my list ), and named each tab an invoice number. So if I had a list of 10 invoice #'s, named S1-S10, the vba code created 10 tabs, named S-1, S-2,. S-3.....
Now to my question. I have a template sheet I want to copy from ( "Template" ), and select any sheet that starts with "S", and copy/paste this template to.
I'm brand new to programming in Excel, and currently building a system that will help me trade equity options (similar to trading stocks). So far, I've put together the ranking system I want to use based on a live data feed that updates in real-time (during market hours). For every possible trade in my 'universe' (currently about 600), Excel provides a live score (based on my formulas and weightings) as well as prices and other info about the trade (options strikes, symbols, expected return, etc.).
What I'd like Excel to be able to do is keep a separate sheet where a trade (row) that scores over an arbitrary threshold, say, 100 'points,' is recorded as a static line (instead of continuing to dynamically update), like a snapshot of that line. I'll use this list of trades to submit to my broker for trading.
If it was as simple as a 'triggered' copy - paste special - values, that would do just fine. The trigger would also need to see if that trade has already been recorded for the day, so I don't get an infinite list of the same trade.
After a trade makes it into this list, I'll need to compare it to what I already have in my portfolio (which I'll also need to build) so I don't become too heavily weighted in any one trade. (Just thought I'd let you know where this will be going, too) ...
I'm trying to figure out how to copy & paste the following conditional formatting down the column.
The conditional formatting I'm using is in cell A1, D1, G1, J1, M1 (so I have to Ctrl click each cell manually & I then choose to "format the values that rank in the:" "bottom 1" & format it green.
I want to copy and paste that all the way down column A, D, G, J, & M and have the conditial formatting pick for each row, not the whole column. eg. A2, D2, G2, J2, M2... A3, D3, G3, J3, M3...
I have 9 worksheets in a book with sheets 1-8 used for data entry, and sheet 9 used for a weekly data upload. Sheets 1-8 are all formatted the same, they just represent different vendors. I need a macro to look through column F (invoice number) on sheets 1-8 and see if the value of each cell already appears in column c on sheet 9. If the value is not found and the row value for column M (sheets 1-8) is >0, I need to copy the data from columns D:K and paste special values into the next blank row on sheet 9.
Basically I'm trying to see if I've already paid an invoice, and if not then I need to automatically add the data for payment. I've tried to mess around with a VBA code myself and ended up with a migraine every time. I've also tried to use the advanced filter, but the cell values I need to copy over contain formulas and conditional formatting...not to mention I can't delete the data on sheet 9 that has already been added.
I need to apply conditional formats a certain range e.g. I8:I1000. Every time my spreadsheet is loaded with new data, the previous cf are erased, and I have to start all over again.
How would you prevent the copy/paste of cells that have comments?
Also, how would you allow cells with comments to be copied and pasted without pasting the comments?
I also have an aside question about the forum advanced search. When searching for multiple search words, how would you type the search to include all words, for example, "prevent" & "paste" & "comments".
I am using code to filter my 4 sheets Greater then 0 (zero)
After apply above filter now i need to copy multiple rows and paste on another specific workbook for paste i m using below code:
for 1st sheet with the name ("V2")
for 2nd sheet with the name("LV")
For 3rd sheet with the name ("F2")
and 4th sheet with the name("L2")
If I play above code one by one all is going very well,,,,,,or if use in this way all is going very well
But here is a big problem..........if any sheet have no value greater then 0(zero)....then code paste all data... e.g shssts("LV") .Range("C5:C54").Copy but C5:C54 have no data greater then 0(zero) and it will paste on another sheet c5:c54 and again new sheets data will paste below the c54 while c5:c54 have no data.
So I want if any sheet have no data with range is greater then 0(Zero) then skip the copy paste code or use like SpecialCells(xlCellTypeVisible) .
I have data in some of the cells within range A26:A39
These cells are populated via an IF function on another worksheet. Even though the cells appear blank (as in the value returned is ""), there is a formula in these cells. I think it's called formula blank?
I am looking for a way to copy the data from the cells within the range which are not blank (ie: not = "") and paste this data elsewhere on the sheet in a list with no blank spaces in between.
I anticipate that there will be 4 non blank cells within this range.
Ideally I would have data from the nonblank cells copied and pasted to cells A40 A41 A42 A43
I am having a problem putting a range select statement in my macro. Here is what I'm trying to do. I want to select E1, then count down 10 cells below and copy. My sheet is filtered, so those rows are not continues. When I do the record a macro it highlights the rows and it looks like this (e10:e506, but it's only 10 items). I only want it to count down 10 cells and copy. Is there a statement for this.
I'm trying to create a macro that will allow the user to select a range of cells, (in column V in the attached sample), and then insert a new worksheet and copy the entire row where the user selected the cells to that worksheet.
For example: (I've deleted most of the data from the sample). The user want to create an order that has an exteded cube of 300 feet. By holding the "Ctrl" key down, they could pick and choose the parts they want to add, until the sum in Excel shows nearly 300.00 extended cube. They would then run the macro, which would copy only the rows which the user has selected in column V to the new worksheet.
I have some selected cells in column A, they are not consecutive. I would like to copy these values and then copy the same area but from a different column...
The code I have here is only working when I have a consecutive selection.
Code: Set rng = Selection fr = rng.Cells(1, 1).Row lr = rng(rng.Count).Row rng.Copy
I was messing around with some Macros, as an issue came up where clients were pasting over Data Validated cells (thus removing the validation). Somehow though, the feature where you can select a cell, then pull the active cell down through the column (and then can copy, fill series, etc)has become disabled. I deleted all the macros, and turned them off in the Trust Center, but when I click on a cell the box and plus sign still won't display for me to pull the cell down the column.
