How can I use a pivot table or advanced filter or macros to view rows by
Only today’s date (1 row) ?Only this week ?Only last week ?Only last month ?Only last 12 months ?All dates ? That is, rows are headed by day. I select the rows that I view.

Filtering Multiple Rows Based On Data In One Row

I have a 'dump' of a general ledger accounting system....about 20,000 rows. Column A contains the journal number for each set of transactions (there are usually two rows in each set but sometimes three), column C contains the name of the account, and column E the amount. For example:

Row 269 cell A269 = 487 (journal number) cell C269 = Cheque, cell E269 = $50
Row 270 cell A270 = 487 (journal number) cell C270 = Travel, cell E270 = -$50

What I am wanting to do is to extract the sets of journal entries, where the account name (in column C) is "Cheque"....so I would want to extract rows 269 and 270 based on the above example. If I filter using the account name it only gives me one row for each journal transaction - only half of the story. Given that the journal number links the two rows.

I want to use a new Sheet for each site. Using a formulae I want to filter the data for each site and then copy the entire row to the relevant site`s page.

So I should end up with a sheet for each page and allthe data sorted correctly?

If I give excel the advanced filter criteria <=2/15/2008 it seems to list all the dates prior to and on that date. Are there any pitfalls to this filtering technique (i.e. would any dates fall through the cracks)?

I have a three columns of data in A,B,& C.

In column A a From Date
In column B a To Date
In column C a 6 digit number

I would like some code to achieve the following in this order:

1) Find any duplicates of the 6 digit number in column C and then place them on the same row as the first.

I.E if the following three matches are somewhere in columns A, B and C:

A B C
08/07/2007 22/12/2007 731655
22/12/2007 29/12/2007 731655
29/12/2007 05/07/2008 731655

I want them to place on the same line in date order like:

08/07/2007 22/12/2007 731655 22/12/200729/12/2007 731655 29/12/2007 05/07/2008 731655 (this line would be on the line above)

2)After all the above has been done I would like the code to go through and looking for matches of dates between column B and A

For example if I had the below two dates somewhere in the list:

I would want the bottom one to be moved to the same line as the top like:

A B C D E F

If there are more than one match like below:

I would like the following:

3) AFter this was completed I would like to look for date matches one day apart for example:

Filtering The Due Dates

I have a simple excel sheet and two of the columns show a Due Date and a Received Date. All I want to do is highlight any cell in the Received Date column where the Received Date is greater than the Due Date. The spreadsheet shows Purchase Orders and shows when they were due to be received and when they actually were received. i'd like to be able to show all orders that were received past their due date.

VBA Filtering A List Between 2 Dates From Cell References

I'm trying to filter a list between two dates that are selected using drop down lists in Cells CZ1 and CZ2.

The first part of the code works ok ie it filters the list by column 28 as "Shipped" only.

The second part is causing me trouble.

The third part sorts the list by date order based on column 48 and this also works ok.

Excel 2010 :: Filtering Dates And Counting Occurrences?

I am using Excel 2010, and trying to count the number of times a certain name occurs within a specified date period. The date range start date is manually entered in F7, and the date range end date is manually entered in F8. I need to be able to choose different reporting periods. The answer to this question goes into F3.

I also want to know how many working days (Column D) it takes per name. A working day is Monday-Friday, less public holidays. In this period there have been public holidays from 24 December until 2 January (inclusive), 20 January, 6 February, 18 April, 21 April, and 25 April. I put these dates manually into the worksheet "Holidays".

For the number of times a certain name occurs I tried the COUNTIFS function but keep getting a "zero" value. I used the NETWORKINGDAYS function for the working days and have incorporated the holiday periods. That seems to work OK and I can live with the negative date values showing here.

The really tricky part for me - can I combine the COUNTIFS (assuming it works) and NETWORKINGDAYS functions into a single function to only count the working days of a specific name. As some names have yet to be completed (i.e. there is no data in Column C) how do I not count those? The answer to this question goes into F4.

There will be about 6 of these spreadsheets, and I intend to link all worksheet data into a "master" spreadsheet which automatically updates whenever it is opened. The separate spreadsheets are stored in a document management system rather than a network drive so I can't state a filepath.

Error In Filtering Table - Additional Rows Shown / Rows Hidden When Filter Removed

I have an excel file with a table in it. It contains 2051 records (attached). This is just a sample, the original file has around 30,000 rows.

When I start using filters, I run into problems:

Step 1: Filter by Unit, condition (e.g.) Unit_23
Excel shows in the status bar the following message: 437 of 2050 records found.

Step 2: If I scroll to the bottom of the table, the row numbers are colored in blue (normal for a filtered list) however the last row is not colored and it actually should not be shown since its unit is not what I filtered for (its unit is Unit_25)

Step 3: Clear the filter of Unit

Step 4: Sometimes (depending on what I filter for), one or more of the bottom rows are hidden!!!

I have a module that imports data from a text file (120000 rows), filters and removes some unneeded (85000)rows and then puts the data in a designated workbook.

Problem: when filtering by some criteria it for some reason removes a row off the final file for each criteria. I have a total of 23 filtering criteria. I have attached a file for exemplification. You can run the module and import the file, it will be without first 23 rows, even if non of the deleted rows contained the filter criteria.

I've got a row of data with a column showing some sales including amounts with 0. Any row with 0 I want gone, so I want the macro to filter the list, delete all the rows with 0 in that column, and then display what's left, all the rows with some number other than 0 in that column.

The code below should filter the 0 rows, delete those rows, and then display what's left. I don't want the heading row deleted, but everything below it that is filtered. What my code below is doing now is not deleting everything it should. How can I fix it.

Filtering Rows With Particular Values In A Column

I have been trying to transpose a piece of code that was put on this forum back in 2005 into my own Workbook but have been unsuccessful. The original piece of code filtered a column for unique entries and then filtered the main sheet for each unique entry and cut and paste each row that the unique value occurred in and in a new worksheet. A new worksheet would be created for each unique filter.

So what I am trying to do is look up a list of values that i have in a list on the worksheet. Then for each entry in my list, create a new page and cut and pasted the filtered main worksheet into that page.

Finally return to the main worksheet and then remove all filters.

I have attached the original file that was submitted so you can look at how it works and I have posted a sample my worksheet (with some things disabled to reduce file size but hopefully you will get the layout. However I don't currently have that sample on this computer. It is posted on another thread under the title "Selecting rows with specific values in a column".

Transfer Large Volumes Of Name Address Data But Filtering Other Irregular Data?

I use excel and would like to know how to copy a large volume of address data but at the same time filtering out irrelevant data placed under each other in a row, in this case, air compressors air conditioning web address etc ( see below for example). I need the first 5 lines only. The rows of unwanted data are irregular i.e some have 10 lines, others 5 , and others 2 or one line which makes using a formula difficult as there is no consistency. The data eventually need to be placed horizontally in columns to be compared to other address lists. To make matters worse, the text data has been merged and wrapped.

I have a two sheet, in Sheet1 i have a data, and in sheet 2 i have a count of location wise data in it, which is from sheet1.. And beside it u will see a button "View Detail". When you click on that button it will pop up a userform which have listbox and 2 button.. Now in listbox i get a filtered value of column C of sheet1 (For eg. Mumbai, Pune, Chennai).. When i click on the value (Mumbai) in Listbox and then click on View Location Details. It should give me a details of mumbai based candidate, like name, pod no, location in the range of (H5:J100) of sheet2..

I wrote the code for it but its not giving me the correct data..

is there any way to NOT Displaying Items with No Data when filtering data in my pivot table?

For instance, I have 2 report filters: Category and Subcategory, when I select a category in the first filter I want to see only the options of subcategories with data in the second filter, I mean display only the subcategories of the Category previously filter.

Same scenario I have with a report with Directors and Organizations, when I filter one Director it would be nice to see only the organizations of this director and not all options on the data.

How to highlight, filter, or otherwise in someway mark all records on a spreadsheet that do not appear on another spreadsheet?

On Worksheet1, I have columns of data for First, Middle, Last, Clock Number, Address 1, Address 2, City, State, Zip Code and Employment Status. On Worksheets 1 and 2, the data and columns are 100% identical, except Worksheet1 has names I want excluded from a database import process I'll be running on the 2nd worksheet.

Is there an easy way or a quick VBA script that would allow me to highlight or filter out of Worksheet1 any rows that are not in 2?

The sheet is pretty simple - I am trying to track the division of a personal estate.

First page has columns for item number, then item, drop down menus for location in house, value and "picked by". So 5 total.

Second page is a "summary of division" listing number of items, median cost of items and complete value. Below is a breakdown of the total value of items that each individual selected.

While the majority of items have yet to to priced - the price range is there - so the format (whatever is it) should work.

I have a table with numbers in a column and various other data. I use this data to track over 30 and want to filter everything thats over 60. Currently I use compound COUNTIF to check 2 criteria using :

=COUNTIF('1SBCT'!F:F,"No*")+COUNTIF('1SBCT'!H2:H3,"")

But would like to an additional criteria in that it will count everything over 60 after with counts the 2 conditions above.

Example: counts how many have a No* or blanks and once those are sorted checks for over 60.

a4 = #N/A(From vlookups)
a5 = 6/4/2013 and
a4 = #N/A(From vlookups)

How would i filter out just the #n/a's

Something like:
