I've attached a workbook with a description of what I'm trying to do. I'm not sure if it can be done with formulas or if it will require VBA. I can move it to the VBA section if the latter terms out to be the case. it's not that I'm opposed to copying code, I just like to know how it works with enough depth that I can fix/modify it, and I can't do that with VBA).
I have tried a slew of different formulas but I can't seem to get the outcome I am looking for. I need to make a station comparison for an individual project build based off a master list. Sheet 1 has the individual build with column A as a part number, column b as a description and column c as a quantity required and column D is blank. Sheet 2 has a master list of every part we carry formatted as: column a as a part number, column b as a description, column c as a quantity required and column d as a unique station identifier for that part (which is always a number).
What I am trying to do is match the part number on Sheet 1 Column A to Sheet 2 Column A, and when a match is found, take the unique identifer under column D associated with that part number and have it displayed on Sheet 1 Column D.
Sheet 1 will change with each build, but it will always be the same format in columns a,b,c,d. Basically I have a format on sheet 1 for what is needed to build each custom kit (787 kits) and sheet 2 carries every part we offer along with the identifer in column d (always a number value). I want to create a formula I can easily copy to match the value in sheet 1 column a to sheet 2 column a and add the identifier from sheet 2 column D to sheet 1 column D. The average kit is roughly 120+ parts so doing that for each part 787 times will be a nightmare. Also in case this matters, sheet 1 column A will have the parts arranged in a random order based on what is desired for that kit. Sheet 2 column A has the part numbers in order from our lowest part number to the highest number (basically an entire inventory list sorted from lowest to highest).
Example
(For sheet 1, since it doesnt carry formating 11111111 is in column a, nut, flange is in column b, 1.00 is in column c and the output data i want would go into column D)
Sheet 1 A B C D 11111111Nut, Flange 1.00 *Starts blank* -looking for - Output from Sheet 2 Column D (1) 33333333Bolt, Squared 4.00 *Starts blank* -looking for - Output from Sheet 2 Column D (4) 55555555Bolt, Coated 3.00 *Starts blank* -looking for - Output from Sheet 2 Column D (2) 22222222Bolt, Hex 4.00 *Starts blank* -looking for - Output from Sheet 2 Column D (11) 44444444Bolt, Screw Type 2.00 *Starts blank* -looking for - Output from Sheet 2 Column D (3)
Sheet 2 A B C D 11111111Nut, Flange 1.00 1 22222222Bolt, Hex 4.00 11 33333333Bolt, Squared 4.00 4 44444444Bolt, Screw Type 2.00 3 55555555Bolt, Coated 3.00 2
I am looking to split data in a worksheet into separate sheets based on Column C which contains Either Babycare or Homecare or Industrial or Professional. Eventually there maybe more names. If possible I would also like to name each sheet.
I am trying to write a macro that will select all cells on a sheet from a2 until the last cell with data. (The last column will be column k but not all columns are completly filled. And I need all the data from the page copied.) Then paste that info onto the first sheet. Then go to another sheet do the same thing except paste it in the first open cell on the first sheet.
Then take all the data from the first sheet of different files into one seperate file.
I need to separate row data from one workbook into separate workbooks based on cell data. Currently I filter the data, copy and paste it to a new workbook and save it. It's a tedious process and was hoping to find a way to automate it. I have attached a sample file. In this instance, I would like a separate workbook for the filtered data in Column 1 and then all the row data gets copied to new workbook. So all of Pennsylvania data would get copied to new workbook, then all of the Michigan data gets copied to a new workbook. I have also attached an example of the end result that I need.
I have a file which has a number of sheets each relating to a different project. Each project has a line for each milestone starting at the same row but each project has a different number of milestones.
I would like to create a summary sheet that either pulls through each row relating to a milestone from each project sheet or ideally each milestone that relates to a certain month from each project sheet (each milestone includes a completion date).
I have a workbook with 4 sheets one is called final and the other 3 are data1, data2, and data3. The data sheets have the actual data I am needing to pull from. Each has two rows of data: data1 has employee number in column A and employee code in column B. Data2 has employee code in column A and employee name in column B. Data3 has employee name in column A and employee email in column B. Now I need to pull the info form all three sheets into the sheet names final. So the final sheet needs to contain 4 columns for employee number, employee code, employee name, and employee email. The kicker is the data sheets don't line up with each other within each sheet it does but the first one in data1 is not the first in data3 and so on.
I am creating an excel workbook for my consignment store to keep track of sales for the store as well as the consignors. I have a sheet for each day of the month, and in the sheets I have it to where I can select the consignor from a drop down box. I am trying to create a sheet at the end of the workbook that would allow me to use the drop-down list to select a consignor and have it pull the sales for the month onto that sheet, an end of the month summary of sales. I don't mind creating a formula for each day. IM taking my time on this to make it work the way I want it to. But I cannot figure out how to make it reference that through the drop down box. Consignors name may not be in the same spot each day and might not have sales for that day.
At first I was thinking an IF formula, but how to do an IF for a range of cells from one sheet and have it pull the sales from that same sheet.
I am creating a spreadsheet for mutiple clients, which has around 5 columns. This spreadsheet will have 7 sheets on it. 1 sheet for each client, and the 7th will be to display all of the information together.
Basically I am looking to find out if this is possible?
I will try and explain a bit more, as above is just beifly what I am loking for.
I Have Client.xls
On my Tabs I have Client1, Client2, Client3, Client4, Client5, Client6, All Clients
In Each individual spreadsheet, I have the following Columns
Incident Reference; Description; PMDB number
Each Day data will be entered into each client sheet, and I would like this information to be populated into the All Clients Tab. I am not sure if this is possible, and if it is, would I then be able to put it into the All Clients tab, and have it auto sort by the incdient reference column? As this is an autogenerated reference for all of our clients.
What I want to do is take information from a main sheet and pull certain rows (determined based up on the selection made in the delivered to column) and move it to a worksheet that contains information only for that individual entity. Below is the list of headers in my lis of all information
Ticket #DateDelivered ToNet kg WtTonsRunningTotalDaily Total
As I said, depending upon the name in the delivered to, I would like to carry forward the following information only for the specified vendor. For example if we have 3 entries 1 delivered to company a, 1 to company b and 1 to company c, each would carry forward to the respective worksheet for that vendor.
Ticket #DateDelivered ToTons
how I might accomplish this in a usable format for what I am trying to do.
I've already entered a variation of the formula below into 180 different columns. The only variation is where worksheet 322 is referenced. Each column references a different worksheet.
Formula:
I have at least four other tables to build of the same size, and they're each going to use this same formula with an additional IF formula housed around it. Ideally I would be able to copy the table, then run find/replace, where I could substitute = with =IF(new formula, and then run find/replace a second time and sub ))) with ))),more new formula). The problem of course is in between those steps lies a formula error preventing me from running the second step. The only alternative I can think of is to build the new formula, copy it into a word document, and run find/replace 180 times to tailor the formula for each column. That's what I did to build the first table.
I've done some searching and cannot find the right answer for my question. I need to create a formula that will pull column header text data based on cells within a table that contain a numeric value not equal to zero. The catch is that I cannot use any one specific numeric value as the basis for a Lookup.
I've attached an example spreadsheet for reference. Basically, I need two formulas:
1. Formula to pull column header (Receiver name) based on Sender. This is a necessity. 2. Formula to pull individual lines for those senders that have multiple receivers (Division D in my example).
My actual data file has 80+ senders and 100+ receivers.
I have a raw data worksheet with 54000 lines, in the format of six columns
In Column A is the USER Name
What I would like with if possible is code that will move the six columns of data from each individual USER into separate sheets, using Column A as the basis of the new sheets, ie the last row for each user is when the user name changes to the next one.
I'm currently using the following code (that I found online) to take a list of data and copy it to specific sheets based on the values in Column C (there are only 4 columns in my data set). The issue I have with it is that it's meant to create the sheets from scratch every time. What I could like, however, is for it to copy the data to preexisting tabs that are already named with the sames values that are found in Column C. This macro will actually perform that but the down side is it wipes out everything that's on those sheets but I cant have it do that. Is there a way to either modify this sheet so it only copies the four columns and only pastes the four columns onto the sheets?
Sub SplitData() Const NameCol = "C" Const HeaderRow = 2
I need to copy all the work sheets into one single work sheet (mastersheet). The source work sheets are having same column structure. The condition which i need to take care of is that after column 3 if at all there is any data till column 10 then in the destination mastersheet these should be copied in different rows with first two columns repeated. I need to do this using VBA macro.
In the attached sheet, i have data in 2 sheets in the same fromat. Both the sheets are seperate reports.
Coloumn A is the list of Team Ids, Coloumn B is the Ids of people who are assigned in the team. Sheet 2 also have the same details with changes in the people ID.
i am trying to find if the people IDs in report 1 is the same in report 2. i need a formula that will check if the people ID is matching to the same team ID as in report 1.. If its not the same, the formula should be able to show that.
eg :
In report 1, "197595" in coloumn B is against "4011-11341" in Coloumn A.
I need to check if "197595" is against "4011-11341" or some other number in report 2. If "197595" is not against "4011-11341" in report 2, it should show me " Miss match". if "197595" is is against "4011-11341" in report 2 as well, it should show me "match"Project match.xlsx
If the name in Column F of "Sheet1" is found in "DataPEs" in Column B, then copy the block of 6 cells of data below it in column Q to column D of "Sheet1" in their relative rows. Additionally, if column Q has data then copy it, if not then copy the data only in column M. Finally, the number of matching names will vary in Sheet1 but will stay mostly the same in the DataPEs sheet. I've highlighted one block of data in green as an example.
I have a workbook with two sheets the first one is called "SDL" contain master data for three TEAMS (TEAM.A, TEAM.B & TEAM.C") and the second worksheet is called "SDL_Calendar" for graphical chart view.
I need Macro to copy the relevant column data from "SDL" sheet and paste into appropriate column in "SDL_Calendar" sheet then make separate sheets for each "TEAM".
I have attached the work book of what I am trying to accomplish.
Is it possible to have a single userform put data into two separate sheets within the same workbook.
I have a userform set up for entering client data into a quote register, with no problems ( sheet 1)
A1, A2, A3, A4, A5, A6, A7, A8, A9
What I would like is for the data to also go to sheet 2, where I have a form set up to print off for our technicians to take on site.
The problem will be that I would like the data A1, A2, A3, A4, A5, A6, A7, A8, A9 not to store on this sheet after it is printed, so the next set on entries , can be printed etc.etc
As part of report consolidation I need a Macro that can read through all the files in a particular location(Say a folder path) Pull the data for each unique products into separate sheet
In the example below : All the rows with "Chocolates to sheet 1" , Drink to Sheet 2 and so on Since the products in column 3 can vary the unique sheets need to be created at run time based on the source data
I am trying to use a macro to compare data from 2 sheets and spit out matching data in a third sheet. The first sheet has two columns of data. the second sheet has 4 columns of data. Only one column from sheet 1 and 1 column from sheet 2 will actually have matching data.
All other columns in sheet 1 and 2 are associated to the matching columns and must "tag along" into the 3rd sheet. I would love the third sheet to have a button that I just click and it populates the data.
The macro will be comparing between 50,000 and 500,000 items. Possibly a good book to use or even a referral for a proffesioanl or even some good heartedness,
I have a sheet (see Sheet 1) from a report we run which lists the following information: Personnel Number, Amount, Wage Type. This is generated for 1000's of employees, with each personnel number being repeated several times in column A.
I am trying to pull specific data to another sheet (see Sheet 2), which would ideally generate the sum of "Amount' for a specific wage type for each personnel number. The issue is is that there may be dplicates of the wage type for each ID number (which is also repeated).
For example, the total salary amount on sheet 2 for ID#12345678 would be 0, while for #9876543 it would be 1250. Is there a formula I could use on sheet 2 column B that would generate this?
There are a thousand numbers like this, I was wondering how I can move the cells with 7 numbers to the right column, and keep the cells with 8 numbers where they are (or move them to the 3rd column to the right)
I am trying to write a formula to read the cells in column H individually if cell is blank write no to corresponding cell of column I, if the cell has any sort of data write yes to corresponding cell of column I
Currently H uses this formula ='name of column from sheet 1'!P:P
Imagine I have 2 columns of information that look like this:
Column A Column B
AS Dog
AS Cat
AS Hamster
FT Fish
These are my key columns. The letters are initials of people and the animals are the pets they're responsible for.
Now, I have 3 more columns that look like this:
Column D Column E Column F
These columns can go on for hundreds of rows.
What I want to do is pull out the information from columns D, E and F where the initials and pet match those in the key list, then paste that elsewhere (say to columns J, K and L).
So, for instance, the first entry would be copied across because, according to the key list, AS is responsible for a Dog, but the bottom entry for AS wouldn't because he was looking after a fish, and that pet isn't listed as one of his animals in the key list (Fish is listed alongside FT). Likewise, the entry for AH wouldn't come across because AH doesn't appear on the key list at all.
I need to concatenate varying numbers of cells based on duplicates found in a separate column, but I'm not sure how to approach it. I have 41,000+ rows of data, so I have to find a formula.
I have a spread sheet which totals the amounts in 2 columns D and E, which are pounds and pence. The formulas for each one are:
Pounds
=SUM(D3:D8)+ROUNDDOWN((SUM(E3:E8)/100),0)
Pence
=MOD(SUM(E3:E8),100)
These work very well and give me the correct figures.
What I would like to do is to add up the values of each row based on the criteria of column C and have just one value in ONE cell (as shown on lines 13 & 14), so for instance:
When added together the values of rows 3,4 & 6 are 7.25 (based on a value of "W")When added together the values of rows 7 & 8 are 5.00 (based on a value of "F")
I have tried to show this as an example in the image below:
